DESCRIPTION


Systems
Power for the Vindicator-class is provided by four Proton-8 reactors each encased in an ejectable Impervium shell. Redundant power transmission systems can adjust to operate off as few as one of the reactors at once when needed. four Hansen FeatherTouch Tractor Beam Projectors assist with the launch and recovery of attack craft and in capturing operations when needed. A full suite of sensors, Targeting, and com. systems give the Vindicator-class good support tracking capabilities aiding the vessels it escorts with data for tracking and targeting enemies.

Complement
The Vindicator-class has a small hanger complement consisting of one attack craft squadron and one support squadron. The centralized hanger can be accessed from the ventral hangar amidships of the vessel. The Vindicator-class has a small security force of four-hundred marines for protection from boarders and security purposes. A moderately sized cargo area amidships houses food and supplies for the crew and passengers for up to eighteen months without resupply. This also allows the Vindicator-class to resupply smaller vessels acting as a support tender for small groups. The Vindicator carries eight thousand tons of equipment to support small groups. Cargo generally contains parts and equipment needed to support itself and other vessels during tours.

Armament
The Vindicator-class has a mixed loadout of weapons meant to support larger ships during combat. Its main weapons are defensive systems for screening against attack craft and incoming projectile weapons but it has heavier weapons for both long-range and standard range fire support duties. Four large IFW-1100A Terminator Velocity Cannons make up the Vindicator-classes long-range fire support loadout. These large projectile accelerators fire reactive warheads at long ranges giving the Vindicator heavy fire support options when needed. Eight IFWXV-8 Quad Turbolaser Cannon Turrets make up the standard fire support weaponry of the Vindicator. These weapons are used to engage medium and large vessels while screening for destroyers and battlecruisers. The heavy defensive weapon suite of the Vindicator offers a formidable wall of fire against both attack craft and incoming projectile weapons such as torpedos, missiles, and slugs. The heaviest of these systems are the twelve IFWRH-12 Dual Heavy Laser Turrets which give the Vindicator long-range point defensive fire. For midrange support against projectiles and attack craft, twelve IFWNK-4 Light Ion Cannon Turrets are equipped to throw a wall of ionic energy at incoming weapons and craft disabling their systems in defense of the vessel. twenty four IFWAG-4 Hexlaser Turrets give the Vindicator even more protection from attack craft. these high rate fire weapons can track and target enemy fighter craft protecting both the Vindicator and its escorted vessel. Rounding out the weapon systems of the Vindicator-class are the twelve IFWRL-4 CIWS Turrets. These weapon systems target and intercept incoming projectiles and attack craft at close range. Two modified IFWMG12 Variable Missile Launchers are located on the rim of the ship amidships on each flank. These modified launchers are adapted from the gunboat launchers and equipped with a large magazine and fast reloading systems. The staggering barrage of defensive weapons gives the class fire interdiction capabilities allowing the vessel to lay down a barrage in a targeted area acting as an area denial weapon system.

Defense
The Vindicator-class has an above-average defensive suite which includes three IFW-76x Fortress Shield Projectors fr the main shield system. An additional Redundant Molecular Shield projectors aids in absorbing all forms of energy and funneling it into large capacitor banks to be used by the vessel systems and weapons. A Solar-Ray Shield Projector protects the vessel from harsh solar radiation and solar-based weapon systems. The Vindicator-class utilizes a Ferrofaraday Starship Frame which gives the vessel a hardened frame as well as acts to protect the internal systems of the vessel with its Agrinium mesh cage. Turadium Blast Doors, Bulkheads, Internal Walls give the internal structure hardened defense against boarders. This and additional defensive countermeasures work in unison to assist the crew with repelling boarders. An EWAR suite made up of mostly defensive systems aids in the defense of the vessel.
