In the absence of the First Order’s tight control, crime syndicates and mercenary groups took advantage of the power vacuum, leading to skirmishes and disorder within the city.

Recovery and the Rise of the Commonwealth:

The turning point for Vizcanyo Bay came in the late 870s when the Commonwealth of Dosuun began to emerge as a prominent galactic power. Mephout, one of the key founders of the Commonwealth, joined in its early days.Vizcaino Bay, like many other cities, were swept into the initial founding. Although hesitant, the people of Vizcanyo Bay ultimately welcomed the change, seeing it as a way to revive their city from the ashes of war.

In the early 880s, the Commonwealth expanded its influence, working to rebuild the infrastructure and restore order. Vizcanyo Bay became one of the key cities in the Commonwealth's efforts to rejuvenate the region. The Commonwealth Navy and Coast Guard took control of many of the old military facilities, using them as training hubs and maritime defense stations. This marked the beginning of a new era for the city, one centered on security, growth, and trade.

Modern Day:

Today, Vizcanyo Bay is a thriving metropolis, a cultural, economic, and commercial powerhouse. The remnants of its First Order legacy are still visible in the form of some older architecture, military installations, and training facilities, but these are now integrated into the Commonwealth's more peaceful and prosperous vision.

With a robust economy, thanks in part to maritime trade, high-tech industries, and a flourishing tourism sector, Vizcanyo Bay stands as a symbol of resilience. The Maritime Guard ensures that the city’s extensive coastlines are protected, while tourism thrives thanks to its luxurious resorts, beaches, and famous boardwalk. The financial district houses major companies and investment firms, while the cultural district hosts museums, concert halls, and art galleries that attract visitors from across the galaxy.

The Vizcanyo Bay Museum of Maritime History and the Tidal Market Square serve as constant reminders of the city’s growth, evolution, and deep connections to its oceanic roots. The Coast Guard, Starfighter Corps, and local security maintain a delicate balance of freedom and control, ensuring that the city continues to thrive while protecting its residents and businesses.

Though the scars of its past under the First Order still linger in some ways, Vizcanyo Bay is now a symbol of rebirth—a city that was once a military stronghold and a symbol of control, now a beacon of commerce, freedom, and cultural exchange within the Commonwealth of Dosuun. The city's integration into the larger Commonwealth structure has allowed it to grow from its tumultuous past, positioning itself as a hub for innovation, industry, and entertainment on the galactic stage.
