TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: 'Serum'
  • Method of Consumption: Injection
  • Average Life: VK-113 permanently alters users.
  • Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/Purpose: VK-113 mutilates a user's connection to the Force to make them all but invisible to Force Sense; see Special Features for a detailed description.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • VK-113 distorts users' presence in the Force, rendering them almost invisible to Force-based senses without necessarily cutting them off from that mystical aspect of reality. It is a matter of some contention whether they should be considered Force-dead. Force Sensitives can use the serum, but their connection will likely be damaged in some way - especially their ability to use the Force outside their own bodies; a being that used to be able to throw airspeeders around with telekinesis might find themselves struggling to flip a heavy table.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
  • Empty Bodies: VK-113 renders its users all but undetectable through the Force - this includes Force Sense, Force Sight, and even Danger Sense. In addition to stealth, this prevents one's mind from being read and can protect from Force-based attacks by making aiming harder.
  • Witchy Ways: Force Sensitives can use VK-113, but doing so will drastically limit their ability to affect external variables with the Force.
  • Soulscarred: Users of VK-113 may suffer from psychotic episodes, hallucinations, nightmares, headaches, and 'dulled emotions'.
DESCRIPTION
Spawned from a somewhat concerning collaboration between Apex's sociopathic technocrats and Vysh-Kolluri's ruthless capitalists, Compound V or VK-113 is an arcane mixture of chemicals, exotic reagents, and nanotechnology allegedly inspired by some of the Sith's more dubious experiments. Once injected, a poorly understood process commences - some require only a single dose, while others require dozens over the course of weeks.

The requisite dosage seems to have no effect on symptoms and efficacy; a smooth transition is seemingly as likely to result in a less-than-desirable outcome as a rough one. Force Sensitives generally experience both rougher transitions and harsher symptoms, however.
