SPECIAL FEATURES
- Shield Wall: The fibers of this cloak are sewn together in between a myriad of miniature shield generator nodes. These nodes individually can only create a very small defensive shield, however when the cloak is fully activated it can erect a shield that covers a two meter radius in a defensive shield. This powerful deflector shield is capable of withstanding minor ION/EMP blasts, blaster fire, a number of cuts from a lightsaber, and offer some defense against Sonic weaponry.
- Stealth Field Generator: What use is a cloak if it can't make you diasappear? The cloak's shoulder line is embedded with a compact stealth field genrator which can render the wearer completely invisible from the naked eye. The Stealth field generator is state of the art, making it difficult to detect even with basic anti-stealth technology.
- Untouched: The deflector shield that this cloak erects can defend the wearer from a number of assault forms. Blasters, lightsabers, EMP blasts, and kinetic weapons are all subject to this cloak's defenses. While the deflector shield can take a good deal of damage, the cloak itself has been made with a phrik armorweave that can absorb blasterfire and slugthrower rounds as well as stand up to a lightsaber blade.
- Unseen: The Stygium Stealth field generator used in this cloak is an advanced model, which allows the user to remain unseen by the naked eye. Although advanced stealth-seeking sensors can track the cloak, simple or bottom-line stealth detecting sensors will have trouble penetrating this particular stealth field. Along with the stealth field, the cloak is covered in a Nightshadow overlay which helps the wearer dodge sensors and scanners.
- Elemental Defects: This cloak is hardpacked with a staggering amount of circuitry and technology. An unresolved glitch with the cloak's system is that the stealth field generator often fails in extreme heat and the deflector shield is known to fail in the extreme cold. Although these glitches do not cause the total meltdown of the cloak's systems it can cause them to fail early, run out of energy faster, and be an overall unpredictable piece of technology.
- Sonic Weakness: The Cloak's deflector shield is known to have a significant weakness to sonic-based weaponry. A direct attack from such weaponry can leave the deflector shield disabled for as long as seven minutes at a time. Sustained sonic damage can cause the deflector shield to fail indefinitely and be in need of detaled repair.
Dynetech's personal defense cloak was created for Confederate field agents. The cloak was designed to be an unexpected defense mechanism that serves in protecting and hiding the field agent. Although only a single prototype was ever produced for the field, it was almost a three million credit project. The most expensive part of the project was the miniaturization of several deflector shield nodes. Each of these nodes was smaller than a credit chit and made to fit within the seams of the cloak. Each cloak holds over one hundred of these nodes, which together can form a staggering deflector shield wall. Outside of it's deflector shield, the cloak hosts a stealth field generator. Stygium stealth field generators are some of the best in the galaxy, as such this cloak generates an advanced stealth field that can be very difficult to penetrate.
Still, with all the defensive measures this cloak brings to the field, it lacks an ability to withstand the elements. During the final trials before field testing it was determined that the cloak functioned best when left out of extreme heat or cold. As such it is not advised to be overly used on desert and tundra enviornments.
