- Jetpack
- Ysalamiri housed inside protective case
- Nutrient Frame
- Extra pair of foldable droid arms
- Neural Link
- Anti Force Bubble: Every pack has a ysalamiri inside it, protected. This creates a ten meter bubble against the force.
- Robotic Arms: The two droid arms unfold from the sides of the harness and are fully functional. The neural link allows the soldier to control them for a wide range of tasks.
- Good protection: It offers decent protection from many forms of attack. It is especially good at repelling blaster fire and kinetic attack. It protects the ysalamiri, as well as the back of the soldier.
- Ysalamiri: The force bubble does not discriminate between friend and foe, and cannot just be turned off. When larger numbers gather this can get even more intense in “friendly fire”
- Propellant: The Jetpack only has enough propellant for a few minutes of flight at most. It’s also flammable.
- Nutrients: It must be refilled once a week, or the ysalamiri will starve. This makes it less than ideal for long missions.
A multi-use battle harness that is worn on the back of soldiers. It is of fairly simplistic design, but great complexity of use. The base of the pack is a nutrient frame, that houses a ysalamiri with everything it needs to survive, along with oxygen, food, water, inertial dampeners and gravity control.
Around it is a protective shell, that is built into a basic jetpack. It is not the most fancy of designs, and it doesn’t last for long. It can provide quick boosts to higher altitude, a speedy escape, or even a couple minutes of sustained flight before it runs out of propellant and will need a recharge.
However, it does have another useful feature. Two droid arms are grafted into the pack. They can unfold to be used in any manner. This can be delicate work, assisting in repairs, or combat. It is controlled by a neural interface device built into the pack that connects to the cybernetic implants of many of the Dauntless soldiers.
While not the most powerful of tools, it is another in the ever growing arsenal of the Confederate Dauntless Corps.
