OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To create a world for a long-term RP event in which the CIS must combat an overwhelming foe, face moral issues on it's Confederacy First doctrine, re-organize outdated military tradition with no-so-welcome reforms, and confront internal issues within the planetary government in political intrigue. It's also a challenge for me as a writer in order to create a world. I feel as if I have reaped the benefits of this community and it is time for me to give back to it by creating a deeper playground for all of us.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Planet Name: Vororga Prime
  • Demonym: Vorogians
  • System Name: Vororga System
  • System Features:
    • Kolea:

The singular sun which all the planets of Verorga System orbit around. It is a G-type main-sequence star that is in it's mid-life. Quite stable, with few flare-ups occurring. It was named after the first colonist ship that ever arrived in Vororga System, The Kolea. Several large asteroids orbit around it and on many of the power stations have been established to harvest the radiation and heat energy it disperses.

    • First Planet: Glendora.

The first and closet planet to the sun, it is nothing more than a dust ball constantly assaulted by deadly levels of radiation, it's atmosphere stripped away long ago. Sudden violent electrical storms plague the world with lightning bolts strong enough to create deep creates on the already pockmarked surface. In 800 ABY, an attempt to establish a colony in order to exploit possible rare mineral deposits was met with failure. A year into the colony, contact was lost during an electrical storm and never established. Probe droids were sent down to survey the colony. Most were destroyed by the extreme nature of the environment but one managed to make it to where the colony had first been set up. Before its failure, the communication system transmitted an image of its surroundings. It was an image of the colony ripped apart with deep claw marks that had gone through the thick durasteel walls like it was nothing. The Colony was declared lost and the planet was declared under permanent quarantine, enforced by a pan city-state security fleet. Any request for aid signal from the planetside claiming to be the settlers is to be ignored. They are ordered to shoot down any ships attempting to enter the planet... or attempting to leave.

    • Second planet: Miakhovo.

First populated by colonists from Vororga Prime after large reserves of Rhydonium were discovered by pioneers first commissioned by the city-state of Ferromugen in 750 ABY. Ferromugen attempted to keep this discovery as a secret in order to gain exclusivity however its rival state of Novotroirovsk managed to gain access to intelligence leaks. This prompted a massive race from the two nations alongside other rivals in order to lay claim upon the way. They built massive factories and settlements on the surface in order to control the ore sources. Skirmishes often broke out over border disputes raising tensions between Ferromugen and Novotroirovsk. Settlers from both sides often launched raids for vengeance against perceived wrongs or false flag attacks and threatened to escalate into a full-blown war.

In 740 ABY, after a bombing of one of its major industrial centers that claimed thousands of lives, Novotroirovsk decided it had enough and deployed actual ground troops onto Miakhovo. They claimed that it was the work of Ferromugen agents that had caused the disaster to occur while Ferromugen itself fervently denied all involvement. However, fearing that Novotroirovsk may be using the bombing as a justification to use its ground troops in order to take over their colonies, Ferromugen deployed their own troops to protect their land. Their opponents responded in kind and increased its military presence, Ferromugen responding in kind, creating a large-scale arms race that threatened to boil over into direct conflict both on Miakhovo and even possibly on Vororga Prime. Desperate to prevent such a conflict coming to pass, clique politicians in both governments decided to work together and managed to form a channel of communication between the two leaders. Eventually, after months of nail-biting tension, Ferromugen admitted to the possibility that terrorists performed the bombing that had started the entire name in its name, condemning them in the process. Both sides agreed to withdraw their forces from the world. Inside the Ferromugen government, hard-liners were appalled at the more moderate faction in power showing such a weak spine and backing down while many Novotroirovsk citizens were upset that the upstart Ferromugens were not taught a lesson. While war, for the time being, had been avoided, the tensions and spite between the two nations would simmer until it broke out in the conflict known as the eight-day-war.

But, after over a century of continuous and ruthless exploitation by the nations desperate to claim as much of the world's resources as they could, Miakhovo's refineries and other industries pumped massive amounts of toxic gas into the air. This gas was so extremely toxic that all life on the surface died off in droves and it was incredibly acidic, able to eat away at bio-suits and even the outer-layers of armored vehicles. Six-kilometers of the troposphere was rendered impossible to ever inhabit. To survive, a large portion of the population was evacuated while pockets of colonists stayed behind and resettled on the highest mountain chains in order to mine whatever Rhydonium was still left, little islands in a sea of toxic fog with their only connection to each other being aviation for trade and transportation. There they scrape by on a meager living on what could have been a prosperous resource world but rendered into this pathetic state by their desperate greed.

    • Third Planet: Magnishchensk.

A cold unforgiving ice world coated with a crust of frozen water nearly a kilometer thick. Underneath that are seemingly endless oceans covered in perpetual night, massive beasts hundreds of meters with no eyes slumber, waiting for the Morning Season. The Morning Season is said to happen every hundred years when the orbit of Magnishchensk's massive moon, Krensky, dips extremely close to the planet, causing apocalyptic tectonic shifts that shatter the ice crust. There are few settlers on the world, only spending a few years to mine deep-frozen Tibanna reserves before evacuating before the Morning Season.

    • Fourth Planet: Vororga Prime.

The third and most populated planet in the system and the main planet on which civilization is based on. Made up mostly of city-states that are constantly in conflict, squabbling for planetary dominance through martial, political, or trade means. It is a world wracked by constant wars between the city-states as they attempt to destroy each other. It is almost unusual for a year to pass without some war breaking out. Lines and alliances are constantly being established between the states only to be torn down or betrayed. Should one of them gain too much power the weaker others will often join together to destroy this threat to their collective power before once more turning against each other. This maintains a perpetual struggle that has gone on for longer than most can even convince of. As a result of all of this, Vororga Prime is a diverse world, with nearly every state unique in their own world and divided by seemingly an eternity of hate.
      • Nordisk: The only moon of Vororga Prime. It used to be a thick jungle world but much of it was cut down to make room for residences and industry in the first years of the First Landings by the Pilgrims. It contains the Vororga Main Spaceport which is a large starport that is under the joint control of all major cities. Unlike much of the homeworld, it is a place of relative peace as most city-states have agreed to leave it out of their political conflicts. No troops from any nation are allowed to step foot on the world and security is instead enforced by off-world planetary guards that have no involvement in their affairs. The spaceport itself is the import and export hub. Goods from the world travel up on landers to the moon where they are organized and transferred to larger deep-void ships. The vice-versa is also true as well; goods from the off-world are unloaded here before transportation down.
    • Kodar Asteroid Belt

A large thick torus-shaped Asteroid Belt that surrounds the entire solar system. It is extremely thick and dense, constantly changing, and very unstable. The material make-up of a majority of the Asteroid belts makes it extremely hard for sensors to assist in navigating through the field. However, after many centuries of habitation in the system, dozens of paths have been cleared through the mass of rocks that are constantly maintained so that convoys of ships may pass through. Sometimes, though, even these are still subject to the changing nature of gravitational fields and sometimes these routes cannot be maintained anymore. But there is one permanent path through the Belt called the Verorga System Gate. It is an extremely stable route through the belt that has never once failed and is large enough for entire fleets to path through. It is heavily guarded by a coalition made up of most of the nations to protect against environmental and primary issues as they all realize that what effects the Gate will affect them all.
  • Rim: Expansion Region
  • Sector: Gaulus sector
  • Location:
  • Rotational Period: 25 Standard Hours. (Galactic Time Standard)
  • Orbital Period: 356 Days (Local Standard)
  • Major Imports: Varies heavily from city-state to city-state but the most common imports amongst them to the world are Foodstuff, freshwater, livestock, raw materials, and void ships.
  • Major Exports: Refined and raw material, Droids, Weaponry, Technology, Luxury goods, Heavy-duty ground vehicles, Blasters, Agrocite, Rhydonium, and Pyronium.
  • Unexploited Resources:

Rumors have begun to float around that there are secret deposits of Stygium, the invisibility crystal, on the world. In 813, the Ferromugen Federation was involved with multiple border clashes with SouCol (Southern Collectives) even though both had a non-aggression treaty. The fullscale war was prevented where Volozyl geologists determined there was no traces of Stygium but not before the two states had marked each other as mortal foes.
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

  • Gravity: 1.03 Standard
  • Climate:

Due to its distance away from the system's sun, Vororga Prime has a constant temperate climate around most of the world itself. In the equator regions or near major bodies of water, it rains often in sweeping typhoons or seemingly eternal drizzle. In the northern and southern poles, it is a winter wasteland that often dips under a hundred degrees standard.

  • Primary Terrain:
    • Wide-open grass plains
    • Salt fields
    • Temperate forests
    • Winding rivers
    • Mountain ranges.
  • Atmosphere: Type I with an above-average propensity for rain and wind.

LOCATION INFORMATION

  • Capital City: There is no official capital city in the world as it is not a planetary-wide government. However, the largest cities that could be considered political, cultural, and economic hubs are the capitals of the city-states such as:
    • Ferromugen, the Capital of the Ferromugen Federation.
    • Novotroirovsk, the Capital of the United Republics of Novotroirovsk
    • Dabliycia, the largest city amongst the smaller cities that make up SouCol (Southern Collectives)
    • Dolgodorozhny, of the Dolgodorozhny Imperial States
    • Enbiro, the subterranean religous capital of the Ecclesiastical State of Wonseong
  • Planetary Features: Mixed wild and Large urban centers

Major cities; most of the capital cities for the city-state are massive, often sprawling for many kilometers with hundreds of millions of citizens. Most have been built upwards in order to save on space and are often towering mountains of ferrocrete and steel stretching into the sky.

Mountain ranges: several notable mountain ranges dot the planet. They are often hostile peaks with the screaming wind. SouCol is based in one such mountain range in order to secure itself from it's more powerful neighbors and exploit the rare resources that only form high up.

Oceans; the world posses three major oceans with island chains being a common thing spread out across the shores. City-states have set themselves up on archipelagos and posses great sea navies. There is a series of dead volcanic tunnels are connect the three oceans.

  • Major Locations:
    • Ferromugen
    • Novotroirovsk
    • Salaskovsk
    • Orysinsk
    • Dolgodorozhny
    • Dabliycia
  • Force Nexus (Optional): None

POPULATION

  • Native Species: There were no species that were considered sentient that existed before the first colonists arrived.
  • Immigrated Species: Humans, Twi'leks, Togruta, Zeltron, Duros, Sullustan, and Epicanthrix, Bothan, Mon Calamari,
  • Population: Heavy At latest estimation, nearly eighteen billion people currently occupy the world
  • Demographics:

Once more, the demographics and relations between people and species are greatly diverse and unique amongst the city-states. For example, the theocratic nation of Wonseong actively promotes co-operation between species, and systemically ensures that all are equal. Their reason for this is that they all believe that all sentient beings were created equal under their Varl, the primary deity that they worship. They regard xenophobia and those that hold such views with great disgust. To discriminate is to insult of creation of their God and is treated as heretical. The same can be said of the Federation of Ferromugen with all species living in relative harmony, with aliens serving prominently in government and its state militia.

Another example, on the contrary, could be the Novotroirovsk. The United Republic struggles with equality amongst its people regarding their species. The nation is a human-centric one with a majority of the ruling and skilled worker class made out of humans while non-humans are typically relegated to low-income and skill positions. In it's past, the infamous "Jaurk Krow" Laws mandated the restriction of the species in public, with separated restaurants, employment restrictions, and bathrooms. State education was only given to humans, restricting even hybrids. In the last two decades, Novotroirovsk has gone through a large civil rights movement supported by large amounts of both humans and aliens. This was assisted by several public encouragements made by the Confederacy of Independent towards the Novotroirovsk government for reform alongside refusing to trade certain materials until such demands of change were met. In 849 BBY, High Legislator Nachbar Haar passed the Equality Amongst the People BIll that prohibited discrimination in public places, provided for the integration of schools and other public facilities, and made employment discrimination illegal. However, even with the existence of such a bill, Novotroirovsk still struggles with institutional and local issues. One of the largest examples of this ongoing issue is the notorious Milanes District Riots in late 852 BBY in the wake of the victory of House Caitlass and the election of Patriarch Khairy to the leading position of High Legislator. House Caitlass was a political party that promoted human and supported business that had led to much controversy during the election period the year before. Hoping to further promote it's victory and to gain support amongst other humans Caitlass commissioned a victory parade. However, violence broke out almost immediately once it began when a group of Rodians got into an argument with an inebriated party member who hurled several slurs at them, earning him a fist to the jaw. This escalated into a riot that after that lasted for five days, resulted in the deployment of the Novo Primary Guard onto the streets to quell unrest, entire neighborhoods burned down, and leaving over three thousand dead when it was done.

At the very end of this spectrum is are the Imperial States of Dolgodorozhny which are expressly xenophobic with all aliens within their border relegated to third-class citizens. They are actively forced into slavery and servitude for their human masters. However, many of its neighbors regard such actions with great abhorrence and see it as a backward nation that has only survived throughout the past few decades due to its sizable military and fanatical population, making it hard to liberate the pressed peoples.

  • Primary Languages: Many nations and city-states have developed their own language though almost everyone within them speaks fluent Galactic Basic Standard.

  • Culture:

There is no one culture on the extremely diverse and divided world of Vororga with each nation or city having one almost entirely unique to each other. Where the Federation of Ferromugen places a great cultural effort into making sure that it's citizens all follow one regulated culture that ensures that they do not see themselves as individuals but rather as part of a greater collective that is the state, encouraging co-operation over competition. To them, they must place the interests of their brothers and sisters as a whole above their own, even giving their own life if needed.

While at the same time, its seemingly mortal enemy of the past fifty years, the United Republics of Novotroirovsk see great importance in the independence and freedom of an individual over that of the state. People are expected to constantly compete with each other in their life. Respect is only given to those that pull themselves and themselves only but their own. They do not like to depend on others or to be a drain on others. To them, lucrative jobs and successful life are extremely important and the jobless and homeless are regarded with much disgust. People identify less with the state as a whole and their version of families is their worker unions or guild houses. The traits to be expected of a Novover is independence, a keen business sense, a strong and robust work ethic, and a ruthless mind that is always thinking of ways to rise above the position they already possess.

SECURITY

High

Threatened on all sides by malicious and envious neighbors, the city-state of Novotroirovsk must be ever ready to maintain its place of supremacy as one of the most prominent and prosperous city-states on the ruthless world of Vororga Prime. They must not show any weakness lest their foes fall upon them for they seek their utter destruction for the insult that was the Seven Day War. Many of them even speak openly without veils of their wish to see the proud city wiped from the face of the world. The main city itself is surrounded by a massive curtain wall made of solid reinforced ferrocrete that is a hundred meters tall and twenty thick that formes the main bulwark of its static defenses. Battlements are made with armored loops for the specially made wall-guns to fire down. Every hundred meters a tower bastion rises, filled to the brim with heavy artillery guns that strike for dozens of kilometers away.

Its main armed forces are the Novo Primary Guard. They are formed from the best of the best from the militia security forces of both the city proper and it's vassal nations. Trained and discipline, the average Novo Guard is typically a hardened veteran from the many skirmishes on the border. They are typically armed with long-barreled rifles that serve as long-range wall guns for them to fire from specially prepared gun loops in the battlements. These guns are extremely powerful at the range, able to rip through the heaviest infantry protective gear and turn whoever is inside into red gore. They're even capable of taking down light armored vehicles. They are well disciplined to unleash brutal, unyielding volleys from their heavy guns. Often, it is described as trying to charge against a seemingly wave of lasers or that a new sun had risen on the horizon.

The most elite infantry amongst them are known as the "Deepers." Their members are from the orphans of military families or government officials who have fallen in the service of Novotroirovsk, who are taken in by the state and placed into the Paegora Military Academy. For their entire lives, they are taught in the ways of war and unrelenting combat. Their purpose, should that dark day ever come and the proud walls of the city ever breached, is counter the attack and force the foe from the hallowed walls. They are trained for the most brutal of hand-to-hand combat, many of them armed with close-quarters weapons ranging from sawed-off carbines to swords, shields, and pikes. Their true advantage is their insane fanatism driven into them from the moment they are inducted. They are indoctrinated unrelentingly to the state and told that their only purpose in life is to die for the city-state and to further its glories. They are taught that the state has no use for deviation of purpose or weakness, and pain is merely an illusion of a weak mind. They are drilled to obey their superiors in all things, without question. It is impossible to reason with a Deeper that their cause is a lost one or to have them admit that the state is flawed in any way. They do not fear death, but rather are afraid of dying with their mission incomplete, thus failing both the state and the Supreme Legislator. These things - their insane devotion to the state, loyalty, merciless nature, and extreme training - make them the perfect soldiers to fight in the grinding breach battles that could occur. Outside of war, they are employed as personal guards for high-ranking government officials or secret police.

To maintain discipline and loyalty within the ranks, alongside to purge insidious

In all, the Armed Forces of Novotroirovsk number about 1.2 million active soldiers with almost 2.8 million personal in reserve and a further 10 million able-bodied adults with military experience either from the militias or are ex-service.

Oh my, I almost forgot that this existed at all. I was keeping these posts in a single thread for the organization at the moment but I when I eventually finish this I will have it made into independent pages. However, I must say that currently, I find myself far too busy to contribute any significant progress to this page at the moment so you may archive it.
