Strengths
Highly tuned to individuals feelings, desires. Often knows what someone else will do before they consciously do.
Highly skilled in negotiating and diplomacy.
Very strategic- sly and cunning
Surprisingly adept with a lightsaber despite not being as naturally athletic as most Force sensitives nor as polished in skill- due mostly to his ability to sense the opponents movements simultaneously with the opponent.
Upon creating strong bonds of friendship, Force connections can be formed, and Voss can communicate to them telepathically.
Weaknesses
Relatively poor fighting skill, very unpolished with the lighstaber.
Not as athletic as most Force sensitives. Must concentrate within the Force to do the necessary acrobatics and feats of athleticism common to Force users.
Stubborn. Ultimately will follow directions from superiors, but often after much debate, and often only "technically" following desires to get a specific outcome.
Can be "product" driven to the extreme, meaning that the mission gets accomplished, but perhaps at a net loss of cost.
Not particularly studious.
APPEARANCE:
Quite average. When the Padawan braids and lightsaber are concealed, he can simply vanish in the crowd. He is rather thin with long limbs. He dressed rather casually (comfortably) unless a situation calls specifically for something else. This could be a more formal dress for political negotiations, battle gear for dangerous missions, or other depending on the situation.
BIOGRAPHY:
Voss Kanaras was born to Viston and Joyala Kanarus on Lothal. Viston, a mineral farmer tycoon with mining and gas farms on several celestial bodies on the outer rim, expertly negotiated business relationships with several warring factions, all of them buying from him at a "discount." Just months after Voss was born, a delegation of Jedi came to secure shipments for the Republic. An old Jedi Master named Tey Bona took an immediate interest in young Voss. He told Viston his son was Force sensitive and that likely Viston was as well. Joyala became concerned that if the old Jedi noticed this, would the Sith as well, and what would they do? After a long discussion, it was determined that the outer rim was not a safe place for a Force sensitive child to be. As such, Voss would be taken to become a Youngling and train in the ways of the Jedi.
At the age of 11, Voss was selected by the aging Bona to be his Padawan. Tey, a respected Kel Dor Jedi Master, was elderly, but felt that his patient and calm nature would be of virtue to Voss would was already showing signs of stubbornness and what Bona called "creative problem solving" which was code for questionable methods during training. Voss and Tey would become close friends, and a Force bond between them was created. Voss and Tey were requested to head to a system in the inner rim to act as a mediator on a local industrial mineral farming property line dispute. Tey became ill just before they were to leave and instructed Voss to consider this his first solo mission, an important step toward getting the status of Knight. Voss did settle the dispute, but felt the disruption in the Force before he arrived back home. He and his friend, his master, Tey Bona, had said their good byes through the Force.
Now Voss is looking for another Master to help complete his training. He is looking for another Master to help see him through the trials and onward to his journey of being a Jedi Knight.
