- Unit Name: Voss Repulsorlift Regiment
- Affiliation: Ashlan Crusade, Voss
- Classification: Repulsorlift Regiment
- Description: Voss Repulsorlift Regiments serve the Ashlan Crusade as motorized infantry, pairing the classic versatility of the humble infantryman with the exceptional speed of modern fast repulsorcraft. Largely composed on Voss veteran guerilla fighters who fought the Sith Empire before the Crusade arrived on Voss, the regiments have recently been reequipped by Lucerne Labs after the company was able to reactivate its factory on the world. This combination of hard-earned experience and versatile technology has made them useful as a dynamic force that prefers to hit quickly and hard on the offense but that likes to utilize depth of defense strategies and guerilla tactics when placed on the defense.

- Combat Function: Voss Repulsorlift Regiments typically act as motorized infantry, using the speed of their vehicles to quickly transport their troops to key locations on the battlefield. Voss Repulsorlift Regiments make heavy use of a sort of internal combined arms doctrine that emphasizes quick but thorough reconnaisance through the use of probe droids and patrol speeders. Typically, a vanguard of probe droids will be the first wave, with a secondary screen of patrol speeders behind them to better flesh out and maintain knowledge of the battlefield. When a weak point in the enemy lines is found, the probe droids act as a spotter for the armor battalion of tanks, who then bombard th enemy spot, with motorized infantry on repulsorcraft following up immediately. Those enemies not destroyed in the bombardment typically don't stand up well to the energy cannons on speeders or the infantry firing from their vehicles. Troops then typically dismount to eliminate any surviving pockets of enemies that have managed to withstand the previous two assaults. On the squad level, VRR infantry put their guerilla past to good use, using tactics that emphasize misdirection that are augmented by the use of silent slugthrowers and sensor dampening nagnol gas grenades. It's not uncommon for the group to be issued with special ammunition to better fight against certain foes or to otherwise better accomplish their objective. On the defensive, VRR infantry typically are dispersed and make heavy use of guerilla tactics that emphasize mobile defense through quickly zipping around on landspeeders and leaving booby traps behind (typically grenade-based with tripwires). Once an area is "secured" by an enemy, the VRR frequently zip back in on landspeeders or use classical infiltration tactics to recontest an area again. If the pressure begins to get too intense, they frequently melt back in before flowing back in once an enemy's attention wanes. This dynamic style of fighting combined with the zealousness of many regimental commanders means that battles against VRRs often become a contest of wills that relies just as much on attrition as battle prowess.
- Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
- Former Guerillas: Voss Repulsorlift Regiments have a large portion of members who were either combat veterans against the Sith Empire and/or guerilla fighters against the empire's successors in the form of the Sith and Gormak who fought them afterwards. Most have spent considerable time in the wilderness during these fights. They subsequently tend to be fairly quick on the draw and be reasonably good marksmen, keeping a preference for slugthrower weapons which served them well in those dark days. More covert tactics and equipment are still fairly common because of this past, with silenced slugthrower ammo commonly used in their assault rifles for quiet operations and nagnol-spilling gas grenades being frequently used to conceal their movements.
- Mobile: Voss Repulsorlift Regiments are entirely embarked on fast repulsorlift craft, giving them extremely excellent mobility. All of their infantry squads have a utility speeder which transports with them up to two weeks of basic supplies, meaning that they are often capable of operating independently of larger organizations and outside of normal supply chains for a while.
- Single-minded: Most officers who have risen up the ranks have an almost fanatical devotion to eradicating their enemies, just as much as from Voss's occupation by the Sith as by Ashlan Crusade teachings. They can be overzealous in pursuing their enemies, and tend very much to follow orders as to such even when it's to their obvious detriment.
- Lightly Armored: Voss infantry have chosen both light armor for their troops and their vehicles. While this gives them excellent mobility on both foot and while driving, it makes them fairly soft against heavy enemy units like battle tanks and heavy walkers.
For several years, Voss was the home of a Silver Jedi temple and with them came a group of Antarian Rangers. The close relationship between the these two organizations with the locals resulted in many Voss natives being trained as soldiers to protect themselves and the temple. When the Silver Jedi evacuated the world in the face on the oncoming Sith Empire onslaught, many of these soldiers dispersed into the wilderness to act as guerillas against the occupying forces. Many of them started and continued a very low level conflict, taking care not too draw too much attention themselves but they still trying to inflict some damage against the occupiers. When the Sith Empire fell, their numbers grew in strength though they now found themselves facing not only Sith, but some of the native gormak as well. Finally, with the arrival of the Ashlan Crusade and the return of the Silver Jedi, these guerilla fighters were finally able to overthrow the vestiges of the Sith reign on their world. Reorganized into a formal military unit and reequipped by Lucerne Labs and its subsidiaries (largely because of one of the company's factories had managed to remain hidden underwater during the occupation), the Voss Repulsorlift Regiments now seek to mark their mark on the galaxy in service to the Ashlan Crusade.
