Strengths:
- Particle Beam Technology: Particle beam projectiles were known for their highly energized nature and volatile explosions upon contact. Such is the case with the Gamorrean, a heavy particle beam blaster pistol, capable of delivering extreme thermal damage and kinetic impact upon contact due to its low-yield burst. This also makes the weapon perfect against lightsaber yielding foes as the bolt cannot be deflected.
- Lower mag capacity: For a weapon using energy as ammunition, similar to blasters, the Gamorrean posseses a limited capacity of bolts before needing reload.
- Slower reload: As it utilizes both a power cell and a gas canister, reload will take longer than it would someone with a slug. Additionally, unlike most blasters, the Gamorrean cannot operate with only a power cell. It requires both components.
- Kickback: Due to the volatile nature of the particle beams, the weapon has a greater recoil than most generic heavy pistols.
DESCRIPTION
The VP-9 was rightfully dubbed The Gamorrean due to heftiness and the fact that it fell mostly in the hands of ignorant people. It is a heavy particle beam blaster pistol produced by Corondex Arms with supplying mainly space faring scoundrels and even pirates. The weapon is brutish, heavy, and volatile.
The Gamorrean is a weapon capable of delivering extreme damage but also needs strength to be able to be used properly with some accuracy due to the recoil. Thus, most of the clientele that uses the VP-9 would be sturdy built sentients who mean business. Lately, Corondex has received many offers from people wanting a sidearm capable of giving them some sort of defense against possible encounters with Jedi or Sith, or other lightsaber wielding users.
The Gammorean has no stun settings.
