- Rate of Fire: Low
- Damage Output: Very High
- Recoil: Very Low
- All rounds can be switched between laser guided, lock-on, and dumb fire
- No need to change out barrel between missile types
- Long Range Scope for engagements across the battlefield
- VESS integration to allow locking onto targets identified through the scope
- 6 Round Rotary Magazine
- Collapses into three pieces, not including rocket tubes
- Extremely powerful payloads meant to take out heavy armor and squad sized formations
- Ion blast boasts a large radius of 25 meters
- Missiles can be switched between laser guided, dumb fire, or even lock on to adjust for type of target
- VESS Integration allows for the weapon to target via voice commands to AI.
- Firing system is hardwired and cannot be hacked like the VESS tracking system
- AT and AA rounds are strong enough to damage most heavy vehicles
- HE rounds have explosions large enough to wipe a squad in close formation
- Mine Canisters can rapidly cover an area of 10-90 square meters(depending on height of detonation) in approximately 25 anti-personnel mines to deny an area to the enemy
- Cannot be moved once set up without being taken apart
- Requires two men to carry its parts and ammo
- Ammunition is large and thus is impractical for long term offensive operations
- Lock on feature requires time to fire
- Relatively slow fire rate as the weapon needs a brief moment to calibrate after every shot.
- VESS AI susceptible to hacking
- Large target
- Slight recoil will mean the weapon will have to be immediately readjusted during laser guidance
Made for defensive operations, or strikes against heavily defended targets, the VSF Mastiff is a mobile missile emplacement meant to support troops with heavy fire from a fortified position. With a large rotary magazine, the Mastiff can carry six preloaded missiles that can be fired before any need to reload. However, each missile does require a calibration time which will cause a few econs between shots as the Mastiff will ensure its not trying to fire an ion cannister like an HE missile or vice versa.
Due to its size, the Mastiff requires a two man team to carry it into battle, one person to carry the magazine and barrel, while another carries the stand and additional ammunition. Upon reaching its designated area, the Mastiff is easily set up, with the tripod digging into the ground upon being locked into position, and the barrel and magazine locking into place on top of it. Once set up, the Mastiff will boot up, calibrate, and be ready to fire in approximately five seconds.
Each Mastiff comes with the option for VESS integration, allowing for the AI to aim and target the weapon although the actual firing must always be done by a real person pulling the trigger. Locking on with the Lock on function requires at least three seconds though this time increase due to target distance, movement, or battlefield conditions
