- Force Blocker: The primary function of the VT-Neural Band, just as the technology it is based on, is to block influence upon the mind by any force users. The Neural Band accomplishes this via similar methods as the original product, simply amplifying this process to make the effect even more powerful. The Neural Band allows a Non-force User to defend themselves against the mental attack of a force user, giving them a heightened resistance to influences of the Force.
- Brain Damage: The Neural Band is a powerful device, and it's effects on the mind are not to be taken lightly. If the Neural Band is damaged, broken, or simply ripped off of the user while still activated it has the potential to cause severe pain and even permanent brain damage.
- No Force Use: The device disrupts the effects of the force on the mind, this means that if a Force User were to don a Neural Band they would have trouble concentrating and utilizing the force while the band was active.
Vanir Technologies has grown as a corporation to fill a wide niche within the open market. This niche is mostly in the design of both defensive and offensive tools to be utilized by non-force users against their mostly force using opponents.
Whether it be powerful disruptors, personal shields, of phrik energy bows Vanir Technologies has long striven to provide the general public with methods of defense against the Force. The VT-Neural band is a continuation of these design functions.
The VT-Neural Band is not dissimilar from a rather ancient technology that was commonly found during the Mandalorian Wars and after. The effects of the device are incredibly similar and it's general function is almost an exact replica. The only difference is the VT-Neural Band is somewhat over-tuned, allowing the tool to be more effective in it's general use. This over-tuning of course has its downsides, but if one is careful they more than make up for it in the safety they provide.
The Neural Band can also be fitted inside of helmets with some small modifications, allowing armored soldiers to wear them when fighting.
