Projector - The projector is what allows the Repulse Glove to actually work. Located in the palm of the weapon it is here that the Emitters main tractor is located.
Clock - Handily located on the forearm is a clock, this small device tells you the local weather forecast, the time, and can even set an alarm.
Hand Scanner - Located within the device itself is a small scanning device. When linked with a HUD the scanner is able to identify most compounds, structures, etc.
Strengths:
- Repulse: The Primary and main function of the Repulse Gauntlet is the powerful Projector in the middle. This device can create a powerful gravimetric push, a repulse that within a range of one meter is strong enough to bend and twist metal. This pulse is based off the same technology as the VT-Grav Glove, but unlike that device it can only push and only up to a range of one meter. The simple trade off of the device is power, the pulse being much stronger than anything the Grav Glove can produce.
- Power: The device uses quite a lot of energy, and like its cousin the Grav Glove there is a limitation to this energy expenditure. The Pulses cannot be used at will and require a sort of cool down. This period can last anywhere from three to fifteen seconds depending on the previous pulses power.
- Range: The Emitter of the Repulse Glove simply isn't built in the same way as that of the Grav Glove. It's power projection is only a max range of 1 meter.
Since it's founding, Vanir Technologies has had one product that consistently outsold every other; The Grave Glove.
The Vanir Technologies Grav-Glove has consistently outsold every other product that Vanir Technologies has ever produced. The Device has become so popular in fact that production had to be vamped up at one point until a facility was wholly dedicated to it's production. The Grav Glove is popular with Civilian as well as MIlitary sectors and has been adopted by a number of Government as well as private Industries.
Vanir of course recognized this popularity and never attempted to change the original product.
The Grav Glove worked and served a function, thus there was never a need to produce additional models or updates. Eventually however the Corporation began to realize that the Grav Glove could only go so far, and although the product was popular they knew the market was ready for something else.
The Repulse Glove is this step. Though Vanir knows that the tool will not be as popular as the Grav Glove, it realized that the VT-RG will serve as an entirely different function, mainly a military one. The Repulse Glove was designed with many of the same technological, as well as aesthetic parts of the Grav Glove. The device they both function off of is essentially the same, only the Repulse Glove has been altered slightly to be more powerful, but shorter ranged.
This design is of course more military in function, and less so for civilian.
The Repulse Glove simply is designed for combat function, as close quarters combat weapon and as a way to clear minor barriers. The Repulse Glove utilize a series of tractors and repulsor emitters in order to create a 'push' powerful enough to buckle durasteel and rend flesh. Of course the pulse could also be used more creatively, like throwing objects or even rebounding the swing of a lightsaber or sword.
All in all, The Repulse Glove will serve as a military counterpart to the Grav Glove.
