- Manufacturer: Vanir Technologies
- Model: VT-Spark Gauntlet
- Affiliation: Open Market
- Modularity: No
- Production: Limited
- Material: Fiberplast, Durasteel, Aurodium
- Capacitor - The Capacitor is what charges the electricity which is eventually discharged in the gloves attack.
- Emitter - Located in the palm of the glove, the Emitter is what released the charged capacity of the glove
- Lightning: The primary task of the VT-Spark Gauntlet is to act as a replicant of the extremely intimidating and damaging force power known as "Sith Lightning". The Glove is capable of emitting a single powerful blast of electricity at up to ten meters, eliciting a strike powerful enough to kill or do serious damage to most adult. The Glove can also be adjusted to a lower power setting that will simply cause extreme pain for a three to five second burst.
- Catch: The Spark Gauntlet is capable of 'catching' Sith Lightning and other forms of electricity. Through the use of it's capacitors the Spark Gauntlet is able to absorb and take the charge of Force Lightning and other forms of electricity, though this comes at the risk of overcharging and breaking the capacitors on the glove itself.
- Backlash: The Spark glove has built in protections that defend the user against damage from it's own strikes, however if used improperly or if struck hard enough these protections can fail. If this were to occur the Spark Glove has been known to 'strike' it's own user as well as the intended target, a fact that can lead to extreme pain, coma, and even death.
- Capacity: The VT-Spark Glove works on the charge of a capacitor, that means between each use one needs to wait anywhere from one to five minutes(One Post between Uses) before a new charge is available. This can be avoided by utilizing the gauntlet to 'catch' lightning or electricity but comes with the extreme danger of overcharging the capacitor and breaking the Glove's built in protections.
The Vanir Technologies Spark Gauntlet is another technological innovation designed to mimic and counter the large arsenal of force powers that both Sith and Jedi seem to have available to them at all times.
Designed by Vanir Technologies head of research, Eva Pumpernickle, the Spark Gauntlet was created to allow a regular soldier to mimic the effects of what is commonly known as Sith Lightning. This technique has been observed many times throughout dozens of battlefields and warzones. It has long since been one of the most feared and imposing techniques used by the Sith in their fight against the Galaxy.
This technique is, of course, one of the most damaging as well and the replication of it was actually quite simple.
Various factions and private industries throughout the galaxy have for quite some time utilized a device known as a "shock gaunt" for varying purposes. These devices all work on similar design principles, utilizing capacitors and intricate webbing to store electric charges which are then released upon the striking of another being or object.
The Vanir Technologies Spark Glove utilizes similar technology but mimics it with elements of it's famed 'grav-glove'.
This mixtures of technology allows the Spark Gauntlet to essentially create guided strikes of lightning, utilizing tractor and repulse technology to guide a spark from the Gauntlet towards the intended destination. Of course this 'guide' has only a limited range of ten meters, but in a fight this is more than valuable.
To go along with this primary function, the glove also has several inhibitors and capacitors which allow the user to 'absorb' Force Lightning or other sources of electricity up to a point. This provides limited protection and a way for regular soldiers to better survive combat with a Sith.
