Market Status: Closed Market
Production: Minor
Weight: Heavy
Size: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Shells are typically packed with thermite, and all shells are packed with an electromagnetic exciter disk in the rear of the shell.
  • An anti-ion mesh lines the shell beneath the animated metal sealant.
  • There are some shells that are packed with collapsium gas, and liquid baradium.
  • Ionization of the shell may be done by enabling the artillery unit’s ionization field.
  • Ammunition Types:
    • Depleted Baradium Shells: 37mm
      • High Explosive: An impervium-durasteel-tungsten cap, designed for fragmentation packed with thorium charges, lined with a nergon-14 and rhydonium plasmatic gel.
      • Ball Bearing: There is an option to pack shells with crystadurium ball bearings that have been coated in ardanium with the idea to create more shrapnel upon impact.
      • APCBC: An armor-piercing capped, ballistic cap made with nylasteel as its outermost layer, followed by ceramasteel and reinforced by a layer of tekonite. The penetrative cap is made of alusteel, reinforced by durasteel. This houses the thermite packed with encapsulated Rhydonium.
      • APCR: A neuranium-tunqstoid core sits in a normally thermite packed shell, although thermite still lines the interior of the shell. This shell is then filled with whatever amount of beryllium fuel it can handle, before being capped. It is capped with a shock-buffing core to prevent the shell from shattering on impact.
    • Seismic Repulsor Mortars: 82mm
      • Crafted a Trimantium-Neutronium and Alusteel alloy, with an adranium coating to aid the projectile in resisting interception attempts. Within the 82mm mortar is a combination of repulsar technology and void-7 seismic charge components. These mortars are capable of generating significant repulsive and seismic forces, disrupting missile trajectories, fighter formations and overwhelming larger ship sensors.
  • Can be modified for the “Quad” twin 37mm guns, with twin 82mm mortars underneath. Allowing for the most efficient damage output.
  • Fast track mounting and fire-link capable, built-in heuristic data processing for performance improvement. 270° Firing Arc.
  • Single target tracking, and automated lock-on/lead system.
  • Autoloader, feeder mechanism that ensures shells and rounds are continuously fed.
  • Gauss/coil firing-mechanisms, electromagnetic rails.
  • Dedicated power generator with a crystal chamber matrix featuring boreas and energy crystals. Includes heatsinks, fans, and built-in cooling devices to prevent the cannon from overheating.
  • Remote exciter disk sensor system, remote detonation monitor, emergency detonation override system.
STRENGTHS
  • Advanced Targeting: The heuristic data processor, target-lead functions, and range finder ensure high accuracy against both ships and fighters.
  • Quick Repositioning: The fire-linked and fast-track mount options allow for rapid adjustments, ideal for hit-and-run tactics.
WEAKNESSES
  • Recoil Impact: Despite mitigation efforts, the high recoil still poses a challenge for stability, particularly on smaller vessels.
  • Limited Ammunition Capacity: Smaller ships may struggle to carry sufficient ammunition for prolonged engagements.
  • Interception: The 82mm mortars can still be intercepted.
DESCRIPTION
The Vulcan Advanced Autocannon System (VAAS-37) represents the pinnacle of modern autocannon technology, designed specifically for smaller vessels such as patrol boats. Drawing inspiration from historical autocannon systems and modern advancements, the VAAS-37 combines high firepower, advanced targeting capabilities, and versatile ammunition to provide a formidable weapon for both anti-ship and anti-fighter roles.

With a 270-degree firing arc, the VAAS-37 offers extensive coverage, making it highly effective in dynamic combat situations. The system's advanced targeting features, including a heuristic data processor, target-lead functions, and a range finder, ensure exceptional accuracy. The VAAS-37’s ability to fire-link and utilize fast-track mounts allows for rapid repositioning, ideal for hit-and-run tactics.

The VAAS-37 uses depleted baradium shells in various configurations: high explosive, proximity-fused, and armor-piercing, with each shell capable of being ionized by the cannon's built-in ionization field. This versatility ensures the weapon can adapt to a wide range of combat scenarios, from piercing heavy armor to disabling shielded targets.

Underslung Attachment: Seismic Repulsor Automortar Launcher

The Vulcan Advanced Autocannon system includes a powerful underslung attachment designed to launch specialized 'seismic repulsor balls' in rapid succession, turning it into an auto mortar launcher. This attachment utilizes the same hypervelocity gun components as the autocannon itself, ensuring a high rate of fire and impact force.

The combination of these advanced materials and technologies makes the Vulcan Advanced Autocannon system with its underslung Seismic Repulsor Automortar Launcher a formidable weapon, capable of creating significant disruptions in space combat scenarios, disabling enemy missiles and fighters, and causing considerable damage to larger ships.

Note: The Autogrenade system is an attachment and must be specified on the build in order for it to be equipped on any vehicle or vessel.
