Vyca is an intelligent, careful Mandalorian warrior. Unlike many of her people she has no great aspirations or intention to become a greater warrior, nor to have her name known throughout the galaxy. She believes that for the most part her skills and goals are what they should be. She knows what she’s good at and uses her skills to succeed in whatever situation she’s put in. She’s logical, plans well, and knows her own limits.
As a Mandalorian, her duty is to her clan and people. As a mercenary, her duty is to do what she’s being paid for. She abides by the Mando’ade and her contracts, as well as her own personal code of honor that dictates how she treats others. The dishonorable are to be reviled, the enemy is to be destroyed, and above all else: don’t remove the helmet.
With the Sith Empire’s betrayal of the Mandalorians, Vyca’s clan and other wanderers in the Vondak system were forced to adopt a style similar to the old Mandalorian Coverts. In the months following the Sith closed in, until Vyca was left as the eldest of her clan and among the most experienced in the covert. Many have begun to look to her for leadership, only to be disappointed by her lack of clarity and charisma. With her face hidden behind her helmet and her words often unnecessary, she struggles with being put in a situation where she needs to speak clearly. Working primarily alone has caused her to be bereft of good teamwork skills among the hard-headed Mandalorians of the covert despite her best intentions.
At her core, Vyca carries two things. First is a deep, pure care for those of her clan and the greater Mandalorian people. She wishes for the Mandalorian people to be freed from the grip of the Sith and to be able to forge their own destiny. She is fiercely protective of her clan and will not hesitate to help another Mandalorian no matter the personal cost. She believes that above all else to be a Mandalorian is to be a part of a family, and to do anything for that family. Second is a feeling of disgust, anger, and hatred of the Sith, the dishonorable, and a select few Dar’manda. Betrayal stings. Vyca despises those who cannot keep their word and those who spread chaos. She often holds others to her own standards; those who do not prove themselves honorable are given no kindness.
