Wake Me Up

The Siren's eyes would slowly open. Everything was bright. It was too much to bear. She groaned and reached up with one hand to shield her eyes as she tried to adjust. She felt a dull pain in her arm. It was throbbing with every pulse of her heart beat. She looked down at herself. As her vision came more into focus she saw a wire threaded into her skin. That wasn't normal. Tara reached for it but her other hand stopped her. She had more wires attached to this arm. They weren't broken through the skin, just sticky pads attached to her forearm, the crook of her elbow, and then her shoulder. Tara ignored them and began trying to undo all the tape holding the IV in her left arm. The tape refused to give easily so she made pained noises as she peeled it off of her skin.

The needle came out easily enough but it too caused some discomfort for the Sith acolyte. A little bit of blood seeped out of the wound. She used the bedding sheet to cover her arm and press it tightly against the small cut. Matter of fact, what was she doing here? She looked down again and tried to make sense of where she was. The be sheets were white and boring. And as she lifted them up she noticed she was in some sort of plain hospital gown. That was...strange. What happened to her clothes? She looked around the room now. Generic cabinets. Generic chair next to the bed. Generic window of the open city before her. Not a place she recognized. Coruscant maybe? Then again...it could be anywhere. One thing was for certain, she was in an infirmary.

Tara would then start taking off the nodes on her right arm and that's when alarms began to go off. The machine she was attached to started making beeping noises. Tara groaned from the loud obnoxious sounds. She swatted it away but it was attached to the wall. Without breaking it, she couldnt shut it up. She also ha dno idea how the machine worked so pressing buttons would do her no good. Then again, she couldnt really reach up and push them anyways. Sitting up made her keel over in pain. Tara pulled away the covers and then lifted up her gown. Her stomach was wrapped up in gauze. An injury? When had that happened.

That's when the door opened.....
