I found a hack to do so, on accident. I have, since my account creation, always used the sign in on Facebook feature. Well I decided to add an email and password finally today. After activating the account again, through the id and verification code in the email I received, I immediately switched to my alt Adriel, and attempted to change names just to see if I could.

It didn't.

But then my Wi-Fi went out, and so I had to sign back in. First thing to note is you cannot still sign in through the email etc, you must use the Facebook again. Either or, suddenly now I have control over her name.

I attempted the same course with [member="Valashu Elahad"] (previously Matreya), and it worked again. I plan to do so for all my main accounts so I have freedom to not have to bother Thurion about it.

So there is a slightly annoying fix for something you could have handled for you much easier. Lol.

The reason it's done like it's done is simple. Admins are the only ones here that can change the names you log in with, we can only change display names. If your's has changed...I suggest letting Tef know because it isn't meant to be like this.

No. The display name is what I'm referring to.

I was actually one of the kickstarters back in the day, complaining about being unable to change my display names, that got the thread edited then up and going. A program issue coralating between Facebook, twitter etc, and the site makes those who sign in this way, unable to change their own names. Hence the threads change to add name options back in the day.

This is simply a way to change display names as said.
