Gabriel Hynatos Umberhorn
King of Cantoi
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
When the Red Brethren left the planet of Cantoi to seek other methods of battling the dark sorcery infused winds of their planet they encountered a company of interesting origin. The company provided the Red Brethren with a metal they found could be used in myriad ways and so they returned home with it in the hopes of replacing their archaic iron weapons and armors. The Red Brethren eventually decided to use the metal in small amounts, lining it into fabric in intricate patterns after imbuing it with the sorceries of The Furnace.
The workings are usually shaped as capes for members of the Red Brethren to wear when leaving their sanctum or as banners that are placed in key areas of the Royal Palace and very rarely important structures in other areas of Hycantoi Prime. Because of their relative rarity they are employed sparingly. The icons can nearly completely suppress less concentrated forms of the mold that builds up in Cantoi's plague hotspots.

- Intent: Create a ward against force sorceries for the Red Brethren force tradition.

- The runes themselves glow when in the presence of sorcery and generate enough heat to make surrounding individuals uncomfortable.
- Area of effect properties are increased in banner form.
- The functions of the coat have very strong ties to the Force Light ability.
- High Resistance: It provides excellent protection against all environmental influences. Be it rain, snow, sunshine, wind, vacuum, acid, or radiation, clothes, buildings, ships, products, etc. protected with this fabric will withstand these.
- Sustainable: The metal engravings made from Fyrirdögun have a pleasant ability that allows it to regenerate naturally. This property is retained even when alloyed with other materials. Even if the runs are cut off, they can regenerate themselves, and portions of damaged fabric can easily be replaced. Negating the need to constantly produce replacements.
- Comfortable: When worn as a cape it is fairly comfortable, a rare consideration amongst the Red Brethren, when activated the heat can be rather warming for individuals with incredible heat tolerance.
- Anti-Sorcery: In both forms the wards protect against dark sorceries and magic and it's byproducts, granting a degree of protection within a limited range. This also affects dark influences from the Netherworld. In cape form, this protection is limited to within 5 feet of an individual. In banner form, it can cover large spaces. When in full effect, it cannot be distinguished from the ability Force Light.
- Not Armour: Because it's not made for armour, it doesn't really protect against anything other than environmental influences.
- Fragile: If the runes are broken they no longer provide protections against sorceries/disease.
- Hot: For individuals lacking in superhuman heat resistance, being near the banner or wearing that cape can cause great discomfort or even burn the wearer.
- Force nullification: Because of being a force imbued item should it be exposed to an area which suppresses or nullifies the force this item will have decreased effectiveness or cease functioning.
