Description: The Warden-class is designed to be the premiere Protectorate warship. Drawing from lessons learned from combat with the Fringe and Atrisians, the Warden was designed for long-range engagements. To that end, it is armed with four powerful banks of long-range turbolaser cannons on the bow of the ship. This gives it a fierce punch in formation fire that discourages head-on charges from the enemy.
Not skipping on medium-range engagements, the Warden is also armed with numerous standard turbolaser turrets, mass drivers, and ion cannons. For the foolish foe who tries to slip in close, the Warden-class is armed with fifteen assault concussion missile launchers and eight tractor beams to obliterate the opposition. To deter ships that might try to slip into close quarters, fire off powerful missiles, and shoot off, the ship is also armed with thirty antimissile octets to neutralize enemy missiles. The end result is a powerful workhorse for the Protectorate navy, and one that complements the Nonnah-class very well.
While the Warden is an exemplary anti-capital warship, it lacks any significant defense against starfighters and bomber, so commanders are cautioned to bring escorts alongside the Warden.
