ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Advanced Communications Suite | The Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier is equipped with an advanced communications suite capable of being utilized for various means such as communication detection, communication interception, communication jamming and communication retrieval and forwarding, giving any Imperial fleet an advantage over the battle by ensuring tight coordination while also disrupting enemy coordination and cohesion.
  • Powerful Defenses | The Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier is equipped with a vast array of defenses, including a strong composite hull made out of Phkalt Metal, which is invulnerable to energy weapons in addition to having a large array of point defense and anti-starfighter weaponry, strong shielding and a large amount of countermeasures ensuring that the vessel can take a beating for sustained periods of time.
  • Considerable Starfighter Compliment | Owing to the Battlecarrier doctrine adopted by Grand Admiral Sularen, the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier also features a considerable compliment of accompanying starfighter and support craft squadrons enabling it to also fulfil the roles of fleet carrier and carry out planetary invasions.
  • AI Advancements | Like most recent ships produced by SularenCo, the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier is outfitted with AI Technology which has reduced the amount of crew needed to keep the vessel operational, while also increasing the efficiency of the Communications Battlecarrier.
  • Unconventional Stealth System | Thanks to it's advanced stealth systems, the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier is capable of evading the eyes of enemy forces despite it's large size and profile making use of a combination of a visual cloak enabled by the magnetic properties of the Phkalt Metal Hull and a wide array of sensor jammers to avoid detection by enemy warships.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low Mobility | As is the norm amongst large Imperial Warships, the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier lacks any mobility, which could be exploited by enemy forces who can easily outflank and encircle the warship if it is not careful enough in battle.
  • Exposed Rear | Another common feature amongst Imperial Warships is the vulnerability of their rear section and engines, which once more is featured within the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier
  • Ion/EMP Vulnerability | Due to it's increased use of AI Technology as compared to previous warships designed by SularenCo, the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier can easily be overwhelmed by Ion and EMP Weapons which can affect the performance of it's AI and even knock out the Battlecarrier for minutes or even hours.
  • Ship-to-Ship Combat | Due to it's hybrid role as a Communications Ship, Surveillance Ship and Fleet Carrier, the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier is not suited for direct confrontations, lacking any significant array of weaponry that would otherwise allow it to take on other capital ships of a similar size
  • Kinetic Weaponry | Despite it's invulnerability to energy weapons granting the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier increased survivability in the battlefield, the Phkalt Metal hull of the Communications Battlecarrier is extremely vulnerable to kinetic weaponry, which can simply tear through Phkalt Metal as if it were a regular hull.
DESCRIPTION

As the Dark Empire continues to wage war against it's foes from the Core Worlds, Grand Admiral Marlon Sularen recognized the need to improve the coordination between the various elements of the Imperial Military, especially in the wake of what he considered an underwhelming performance during the Dark Empire's initial offensive against the Galactic Alliance in the battles of Empress Teta and Tython which saw the Imperial Army and Navy suffer heavy casualties despite their victory.

As such, the Imperial Shipbuilding Corporation known as SularenCo would begin the development of a new Communications Warship designed with the purpose of facilitating communication between the various elements of the Imperial Military and Imperial High Command in the heat of battle in order to increase effectiveness on the battlefield and ensure that the Empire can secure victory in future campaigns with as little casualties as possible. Designed as the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier, plans would also be made to include a considerable amount of squadrons of Starfighters and Support Craft in order to make the Communications Battlecarrier a more versitile warship, capable of serving as both a Carrier and a Command Ship.

Equipped with both an advanced communications, an unconventional stealth system and a strong hull invulnerable to energy weapons along with many other advanced features, the Warlord-Class Communications Battlecarrier has a key role to play in the future campaigns of the Imperial Navy as it continues to wage war against it's foes across the galaxy.
