"Masters, we've found some sort of...of device. It's hidden underneath the surface....it'll take time to excavate but I believe it's been the source of the massive earthquakes that have been disturbing the area. All we've been able to do is help evac-"
His voice started to vibrate before he realized that the ground beneath him started to tremble. From his expression it seemed like more so than any other. The signal of the transmission became unstable and a once clear, and transparent image started to warp before the Council' eyes.
"Wha- ugh!" there was a bright flash followed by a massive roar that the audience would be able to feel in the pits of their stomachs. The Jedi Knight turned to look and and his expression told a story of terror. "Masters! Something terrible has happe-" his voice rang out as he was engulfed by flames and the sounds of screams could be heard in the background.
The transmission soon ended.

War. We are its children; soon, its masters. Ours is a legacy of conquest. To conquer is to eat, to rule is to bleed, victory or death. We raise our banners and will wash over this world and all others in our blood! Our will is unbreakable. Who will stand against us?
The fearsome Krasgrig have lusted for galactic conquest from their lonesome isolation in Wild Space since the inception of time, it is in their blood. These were only dreams until they discovered an old relic that granted them a dark portal, enabling them to lay siege to the present galaxy.
The Jedi Order were investigating the disturbance on Nan'thri, and came across a massive network of devices beneath the surface. Before they could continue their investigation, the surface cracked open and gave way to a new evil...one they've never encountered before.

Jagen Wren

He had no idea how he had ended up in this position.

The Jedi Knight stood still, his boots compressing the grass beneath him, as he stared down the hoard of a good hundred Krasgrig warriors, charging down the lone man on the backs of horses, varactyl, and other beasts of burden that they had tamed for their army.

200 meters.

Jagen raised his arm and grabbed a section of his cloak, which had until now been casting the rest of his body in a darkness. He pulled the loose fitting material and allowed it to fall off of his body and hit the ground with a light thud, revealing blue armor; Mandalorian beskar'gam.

100 meters.

Gesturing with a gauntleted hand, an equally blue helmet with the signature T-visor flew into his palm and he put it over his head. His lightsaber was unlatched from his utility belt and was activated, the blade springing from the hilt and emitting a humming sound that only he could hear.

50 meters.

He prepared his saber, bringing it up to level with his head and tucking his arms in. He was prepared to die fighting. In this moment he was no longer Jedi Knight Jagen Wren; he was Jagen, Last of Clan Wren, a Mandalorian warrior.

Kidem Class Jedi Patrol Frigate
Nanth'ri Orbit

Veiere walked along the main corridor of the Frigate making his way towards the cockpit of the vessel, pilots there taken from the larger Praxeum Ship having helped to transition those within the smaller patrol craft about the sector. Darkness clouded the Galaxy, as Jedi it was their duty to offer themselves up as beacons and representatives of the light, stewards of defense against those who would oppress, conquer and demean the peace of others. What made today different? The Order's introduction to their newest threat, one that would become a great rival to the light and for which the Jedi would not be seeing for the last time. Their name? The Krasgrig and they were a blood thirsty clan of warriors that numbered far higher than those of the Order did themselves, the makings of a nation built upon war and dominance over other weaker peoples.

"Status?"

Veiere asked as he entered the cockpit, the co-pilot turning to meet him with a simple shake of his head while his peer spoke up without a glance over his shoulder; "We've lost contact with your people I'm afraid Master Jedi, only a handful have been sent down to investigate but others are enroute from the The Providence". They seemed to be making the most out of the new Sigma-5 Ruusan-Class Interceptors of late, those of the same new additions to the Order's Ace Fleet. It had enabled them travel in greater numbers, scout vessels with a capable speed to jump Jedi from sector to sector independently and lessening risk of notice coming to both the Praxeum Vessel and the Jedi Enclave of Deneba.

"Inform the Council that I will be going down there.."

Veiere turned away, the captain glancing now up from the controls of his monitoring station to look back at the Jedi indifferently. They didn't share the Order's readiness to throw themselves against potential dangers of any sort, they were civilians who'd volunteered from Gyndine and Commenor to aid the Order, some young but all willing to do the long years of service aboard a migrant vessel before returning home and exchanging service men.

Nothing of late seemed to be going to plan, this excursion was meant to be more a scouting and research mission than anything. What dangers awaited he and his people down there upon the world of Nanth'ri, he feared they were about to regret running into.

Her eyes twitched, exuding ferocity. She held her lightsaber close, the blade near her face; the right side of her face became covered in a scarlet shadow. Soon the figure of [member="Jagen Wren"] came in view from behind her, his cloak catching her attention. She was leading the second group who came to investigate the situation after the Council received the transmission. Pivoting, she turned her body so she could get closer to the edge of the hill and her mouth dropped as she laid eyes on the impending horde.

Uhn...

The signal in the area was hazy at best, she'd be lucky if she received and transmissions through her commlink, or whether she'd even get the time.

They'd just fought of...what she supposed were stragglers and that was no simple feat.

Her chest rose and fell, and as her lips would zip close she slowly beckoned forward with her head, tilting it as her hair fell from her shoulders. Pushing her shoulders in, she held her lightsaber in a two-handed grip just in front of her.

The ground would shake more and more as the enemy closed in, and when they did she widened her stance and bent at both of her knees as a weapon came from horseback, attempting to behead her. From below she a Krasgrig on foot, and from her position she pushed off from the ground, launching herself into the air as she gracefully flipped over him and landed behind him in a crouched position. Without even turning around she tucked her lightsaber under her armpit, plunging it into the back of her adversary.

"Hold the--" she started to speak before she noticed a blue flicker in the distance, peeking through the moving horde. "Wha..."

Freedom's Cry
In space above Nath'ri

The transition hadn't been specific about the threat. There was something growing out here, but for as much as the Miraluka knew, they were going in blind. And if there was one thing she had learned, it was that a lack of information rarely ended well. As the droid guided the ship towards the planet's surface, she stood, light steps carrying her to the small room she could call her own in the ship. Without a word, she grabbed a simple robe, marked with the old sigil of the fallen Galactic Republic, a relic of a bygone age. With it came two lightsabers, and the shoto she had carried for most of her life. There was a peace here, in the quiet of a descending ship. A quiet anticipation of the storm that she knew awaited her.

Some Jedi would have found armor. Some would have brought a gun. Anything to keep an edge on their enemies.

She only brought the Force. And it would have to be enough.

As she walked back to the bridge, Saran wondered how big of a threat they would face in the days to come.

Cassius Droma and [member="Karren Trask"] had been some of the first Jedi on Nanth’ri, as they had been nearby when the first waves information had started to emerge. Fashioning themselves an advance scouting party, the two had taken the U-wing Cassius was keen on flying down to the surface, luckily having enough of a low profile to avoid detection. Landing at a nearby encampment, they had managed to do some long-range reconnaissance before mustering up the courage to get closer.

So close, in fact, that they stole some robes that could hide their appearance, as well as some supplies and weapons, all in a bid to gain more information. Unfortunately, communications had been knocked out or jammed somehow, and the two Padawan suddenly found themselves alone. When the horde suddenly took off, Cassius and Karren tore off as well.

The stampeding hooves, the shouts of the warriors riding alongside them… it was deafening. Cassius remained focused, riding his horse at a gallop in the middle of the pack, slightly more towards the front than the back. It was when he sensed a familiar presence approaching… that of his master, [member="Romi Jade"], that he urged his steed forward, throwing Karren a glance.

“Yah!” he shouted, snapping the reins and spurring the horse to go faster. Slowly, he began to move through the pack towards the front. He could start to see past the others and saw his master, as well as the Jedi Knight [member="Jagen Wren"], encased in Mandalorian armor, staring down the horde he was now pretending to be a part of, fully intent to fight them to the death, it seemed.

Hopefully, it wouldn’t come to that.

His left hand went up to move the hood and scarf that had previously obscured his face while his right hand drew his lightsaber, igniting the blue blade. He swung out, cutting down the first Krasgrig that he could reach. Hopefully, Karren would follow suit, and they could leave a few men and beasts for the others to trip over in their zealous charge.

Cassius pushed his horse forward once more, trying to imbue it with more strength than it typically had by using the Force. With newfound resilience, the horse pushed to the front of the pack and started to put some distance between him and the rest, whom had started to recognize the young Jedi as a target. Placing his lightsaber back on his belt, he reached his hand out to Master Jade, ready to scoop her up and put her on the back of the horse with him without breaking stride.

She was right behind her fellow Padawan. As Cassius surged into the warband so did she, keeping a careful tether on her emotions. So much of her wanted to unleash. to drain the floodgates of emotions that had been pent up by her Jedi training. She was angry, bitter and growing weary of the evils of this galaxy.

But the stand of Jagen Wren gave her the strength to keep going. How calm him and Romi seemed in the moment bolstered Karren. As she approached her DL-44 slid from her belt, snapping off two shots. She nudged her knees hard into her own horse, controlling it with a nudge this way and that.

She was never trained to ride them, but the force guided her, bonding beast and Jedi alike.

She fired off a series of bolts, let her saber fly to her hand and ignite. A brilliant emerald glow lit the battlefield as she cut in front of Jagen and clove two riders from their steeds. They fell clutching their throats, sliced open by a long flourish from her saber. Then she doubled back, holstering the pistol to reach her hand to Jagen.

"Grab hold, you can't face them alone Master!"

The Jedi Master had accompanied the grand master on this venture that was meant to be one thing and had turned into something else entirely. Kahne was sitting towards the back of the ship his eyes closed at the moment and his hands rested on either side of him as his mind was focused on something at the current time.

Kahne was floating on a plane of light as it seemed like he was moving at supernatural speeds across the lands, however there was darkness ahead as he moved passed it, tendrils began to whip out at him looking to hold him in place or at least slow him down. The Jedi Master wasn't having it however, he moved past them however hard or painful it seemed. As he lingered in the darkness for a few moments and thus moving on he could sense that it wasn't something with the sith that he was dealing with. However he could sense their emotions and what they were feeling as they pressed the attack and were outnumbering their opponents.

It was then Kahne sense the four glistening lights in the distance, and as the closer he got to them the more their physical form he could see. It looked like someone was trying a rescue, but they still seemed to be surrounded. The Jedi Master took a deep breath and exhaled slowly his mind deep within the planes of the force right now he not noticed the beads of sweat that had appeared on his brow and began to slowly roll down.

Stay strong my friends...

The force delivered the message to them as swiftly as possible to whatever comfort it would bring to them. It would soon bring loss to those that were against them. The affinity that Kahne had with the force was strong, not ultimate but it was enough to bring aide to those he considered allies and friends. It would help them get to where they were going, fight or try and create distance to between their enemies. The Jedi Master focused his power with the force into this meditation as best as he could and with enough time to give them the opportunities that could keep them alive and unharmed.

The force is with you my friends...

A horde of enemies. For all their talk of passivism this Jedi Order at least seemed to understand that conflict was inevitable in a world still plagued by the Sith menace. Maybe they even had something to do with why these warriors were pouring across the countryside in hordes, burning and killing anything in their path that would not yield to them. He would find it and this horde would not stop him.

Deep within the Krasgrig horde the battlemaster's blue blade danced through their primitive armor and bounced their outdated blaster bolts back at them. A single blade was enough. A well placed fist found its mark on the underside of his chin, sending Turin back a few steps. The flow of battle had changed at some point during his singleminded venture to find the source of this horde. They must have hit resistance somewhere along the way, probably the Order. He wondered how the padawans were doing. Sure, the horde was something Turin himself was used to fighting in, but the Galaxy here was much more peaceful than the one he had come from and he worried they would falter here.

He sucked his teeth and called upon the Force, concentrating on one singular purpose.

Push.

His hand reached out towards his enemies and the Force exploded producing a shockwave that sent a dozen of them flying the opposite direction they had been marching. How many more would he have to cut down before he had his answer?

There was always a reason for everything. Was it some war that forced them to move? Wanting to win over the land that they would pillage and steal from the natives? or was it a more sinister plot that could bring about a harsh consequence that was not thought of before? All that and more would be explained and figured out soon. That is if I could find someone's trail through all of this. The various Jedi were all fighting these large beast-like folk and what seemed to be a slaughter fest. I was unsure if this was self defense, in rescue of, or as vengeance upon those who perished moments before. Holding the stock of a Repeater rifle in my off hand, I knelt down over the top of a ridge that overlooked the destruction that was taking place.

I was not really suitable to be in close quarters with so many people. I would likely get struck down by my own ally as opposed to the enemy. Hence my vantage point as the two lines of forces converged into a massive mosh pit. Yelling, screaming, and the almost constant booming of force pushes and uses of the force went off in my sensing of it all. I could see everything as clear as day, even though my eyes remained shut. Such is the way of a Hunter, and a tracker. Sure, this force would be powerful, sure this force of beings could be harmful. What I wanted was the source. Slowly, I could hear behind me the sound of a speeder. It's engine's whine was growing louder by the second. Opening my eyes, I reached out my right hand as I slung the rifle over my back. As soon as I felt the handle slap into my hand, I flipped over by pushing off with my legs, and vaulted my leg over the speeder.

Slamming the throttle home, I sped off around the actual fighting. This group of people marched from somewhere. All I had to do was follow the massive lines of trampled fauna, stone, and ground. With a force this large, they couldn't catch up to me in enough time, and moving as one singular unit made it much easier to track this massive line of previous steps.

It was my job to find the source, and stop it.

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
Tin'tinag had been off on some, 'pirate' business before the alert was sent out, fortunately she and [member='Ar'ekk'] had been in a nearby sector, as such it did not take them more then a minute to intercept the message and be in orbit around the planet before the main fighting broke out.

Was she on edge about the possible upcoming fight, slightly, but this would not be the first war zone the Twi'lek had been in, or the most fearful encounter. Was she worried about the other Jedi on the planet and what may become of them, absolutely. She turned to Ar'ekk as the fighter man hast for the planet, intent of giving air support or landing to provide and escape rout for the out numbered defenders.

"Arky, you've been in quite a few battles, how do you rate our chances of winning, and not dyeing", Tin waited for his response while checking her equipment, option out from her regular robes for a more combat orientated outfit, ballistic jacket and all. Her other weapons attached to the belt, her saber staff as well, the same one she had made while a follower of Ren, it severed as a reminder to never go down such a path again.

"You want me on the guns or at the ramp, your call Arky".

Nanth'ri
Main Settlement
Giving aid to those affected by the earthquakes
_____________________________________________
When Cambria Zadira had first arrived on the Mid Rim planet with humanitarian aid, horrible destruction of both earth and man-made greeted the Jedi Knight's gold-speckled hazel eyes. What little infrastructure was there now was a mess of debris. The hospital in the main settlement where they had landed close to had collapsed trapping patients and workers alike though that scene was repeated where ever one looked.

A Jedi Mobile Surgical Unit (JMSU or Jimsoo for short) was set up by the Healers of the Jedi Order accompanying the Twi'lek Guardian. It would be a staging area to work from as search and rescue teams quickly went out to find victims in the rubble and/or lead the survivors to where they would find shelter and other necessities such as clean drinking water and food supplies.

Several strong aftershocks continued to rock Nanth'ri. This is when the Jedi Order sent out investigators to inquire into what was causing the 'swarm' of destructive earthquakes. Were they merely occurring as the planet shifted naturally in it's ever evolving process or were they triggered by something else? And, could the Jedi do anything to fix or stop them altogether before the planet became uninhabitable for its native population. They were long on questions though as of yet short on answers.

Since Cambria was strong in the Force skill of telekinesis and not so much in healing, the Rutian Twi'lek used it to help remove big chunks of debris away for the rescuers to get into the crumbled structures. It was bittersweet as they found residents both alive and deceased; unfortunately more the latter by this late hour in the game.

After clearing the last structure in the section the team had been working on, Cambria took a much needed break and drank heartily from a canteen she carried on her leather utility belt. Drawing upon the Force as the blue-skinned Jedi Knight had been doing was taxing yet rewarding especially knowing she had made a difference.

A small, native child watched her as she rested on a boulder mesmerized by the Twi'lek's blue-striped twin brain-tails as they swished along her back no doubt. Curiosity was so precious in a child. Cambria was going to offer the little one a drink of water when suddenly the Jedi's danger sense flared. She scooped the child to her hastily and threw up a Force barrier just as a huge blast went off.
