Watch Your Step...That's A Hot One

In the wake of their victory at Mannan, the One Sith did not sit back and revel in their domination over the Republic and the Jedi, but instead set their eyes on Sev Tok. The conquest of the planet did not last long and soon Sev Tok was under the rule of the One Sith. With the planet secure, a small group of Sith set out to search several abandon temples on the lava world of Mustafar, in hopes of discovering lost artifacts to enhance the might of the One Sith. Or to unlock the mysteries hidden deep within these ancient structures. Knowledge was power and nobody craved both more than the Sith.

Darth Venefica, standing on a rocky ledge, appearing to the untrained eye to be lost in thought as her eyes stared blankly into the distance. In truth, she was stretching her senses to the max seeking out the first temple on their list, one believed to have a strong connection to the Dark Side. Upon investigating the ruins before setting out with the other two Sith, she discovered that the energy in the temples varied from the Dark Side to the Light Side to neutral. But it was those temples infused with the energy from the Dark Side that appealed to her. She wouldn't discard the other temples scattered about but she had her doubts nothing of importance would be found there, then again, fate was funny like that.

Finding what she was looking for, she raised her right arm and pointed with the index finger toward a cluster of rocks that were burning bright from the heat emitting off the lava as it slowly slithered along a trench. "Beyond there we shall find out first temple," she announced to the others. Stepping off the ledge, she adjusted the breathing apparatus so it fit snug over her mouth and nose. The lava was a concern on this expedition but the real threat lied with the air itself. Long exposure to the sulfur and other poisonous agents in the air could destroy lungs leading to long term problems or death itself.
