Description:
With the expansion of Aurora Industries, and it's becoming a member of the Directorate, Taeli and the engineers in Aurora's Droid Division decided it was time to upgrade their security droid contingent. Working off the idea of mostly non-lethal weaponry and riot control forces, the Aurora engineers created the Watchman Security Droid for Aurora and Directorate use, along with sale on the open market.
The Watchman droid comes standard equipped with a concealed heavy stun pistol in its right leg, a riot control baton in a back holster, a sonic stunner in its chest, and a sticky net gun in its left arm. The droid can also be outfitted with different blaster weapons, but this is done at the discretion of the user and Aurora Industries does not give the droid a standard actual weapon to carry. The Watchman also comes equipped with a deployable riot shield on its right arm, which can extend to a full 1.2 meters.
The droid utilizes one Si-Cryo Hybrid Core to power all of its various systems, which include bomb detecting sensors that detect the various chemical components, an advanced friend/foe recognition system, back-up composite radiation sensors in case its photoreceptors are damaged or disabled, and magnetic and anchor clamps in the feet to allow the droid to remain in one spot.
Like most droids, the Watchman is vulnerable to ion and EMP weaponry. The droid is also not designed to be deployed into an actual war zone and is mainly to be used in police and security roles as the vast majority of its weaponry is designed to subdue or stun an enemy, not outright kill them.
