Known primarily by his method of execution, the assassin known as Wayward Drift is, like many assassins, a bit of an eccentric. While many come from military or intelligence backgrounds, the contractor nicknamed Derelict comes with a pedigree in engineering. It's clear that at one point he worked for OmegaPyre, given the design of his EVA suit, but beyond that his history is relegated to employers worked for and contracts completed. Having found work in just about every sector of space, his travels are as extensive as his kill count.
The reason for the high body count is simple - he targets people when they travel. This often means that his targets are incredibly high profile, or working undercover themselves. Whole starships are turned into mass graves, as he is a strong proponent of the fact that if there's enough bodies, no one will be able to tell who you really targeted. Starships are left powerless, without life support, drifting endlessly off course until a too-late rescue arrives.
At the end of the day, it's business. Profitable- if messy - business.
-
+Methodical - He refuses to leave anything to chance, painstakingly planning out his ops to ensure the maximum probability of success.
+Engineering - With the aptitude and intelligence of a man presumably possessing multiple engineering degrees, there's little aboard a starship he's unfamiliar with.
+Professionalism - He's the consummate professional, doing his best to ensure no one related to those he knows winds up on a ship he's targeting.
-Combat - He knows self defense in only the most mundane way - throw some fists, kick a bunch, gouge the eyes if you have to. His combat training is non-existent. He can shoot, but shooting and tactical movement are two entirely different things.
-Committed- Once the contract is accepted, it's going to be seen through, even if it means potentially exposing himself and his client.
