In the public eye, it would be impossible to notice if Alicio was beginning to wear himself thin. But behind closed doors, it was becoming all too obvious.

The leader of the free galaxy had four separate datapads sprawled on the table in front of him, each a report about a different subject. Alicio juggled three of them, giving each a moment of thought, before going to the fourth to jot notes. His eyes were icy, focused, despite the dusky shadows that crept underneath them.

Alicio hadn't been home to Alderaan since his inauguration, had barely slept since taking office. He'd rested mathematically enough to keep his mind sharp, but not a wink more. He needed to strategize, research, catch up. There was work to do, and not enough time in the day to do it. So he made time. Perhaps to his own detriment.

Once he was settled in, he would slow down, Alicio told himself... not sure if he was lying or not.

The GA was facing a three-sided assault, and found themselves on the back foot in every theater. They needed to adjust, and he wasn't sure he was smart enough to do it himself. Alicio had been honest in his address to the people- he was no brilliant battlefield tactician, nor a mastermind of the galactic stage. He could theorize all he wanted, but in the end, what he needed to do was talk to the people who knew best, and facilitate.

A squad of dark-plated bodyguards were there to greet Supreme Commander von Sorenn, General Visz, and Masters Noble as they would make their way into Chancellor Organa's office. The Honor Guard were silent observers, scanning each entrant before allowing them access, though they didn't take any weapons. The room itself was still under renovations, almost entirely empty, save for the Chancellor's chair, an adjoining holotable, and seats placed around it at regularly-spaced intervals. Behind Alicio, a wide transparisteel window showcased Fondor's industrious landscape- more squat then Coruscant, yet somehow just as busy.

The Chancellor glanced up as the first of his guests entered, standing respectfully and offering a taut smile. "Come in."

Time to get to work.

Valery entered the Chancellor's office, her presence calm but purposeful as she stepped beside her husband, Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble . The room was sparse, still under renovation, but the tension in the air was unmistakable. Alicio's demeanor, while respectful and welcoming, hinted at the strain he was under — a weight Valery immediately recognized from her own leadership experiences.

Her gaze swept over the scattered datapads before locking onto Alicio. "Chancellor," Valery began, her voice warm but firm, "It's good to see you again, and thanks for inviting us all."

She exchanged a subtle glance with Kahlil, their connection evident in the silent support they shared. They had been through countless challenges together, and this was just another step in protecting the galaxy.

Valery then took her seat, eyes softening as she studied Alicio more closely. "I hope we can all work together to strengthen the Alliance." she continued, her words meant to offer not just encouragement, but solidarity.

There was no doubt in her mind that they could make this work.

Kahlil looked to his wife, smiling in turn as he gave a little nod. They were ultimately all in this together now. To stop the Sith, to keep the Alliance from being destroyed by all their enemies, they had to work together. He took his seat beside his wife, giving a nod in quiet agreement to her words. For now, though, he had nothing to actually say.

Once they all arrived, there'd be plenty to talk about.

Rise Above Your Station, Soldier.

A normal general would be wearing their officer uniform in a time like this.

Lupa wasn't a normal general. As she wandered through the halls of the Fondor, the Nemean armor she wore gleamed white. They were at war, and Lupa had taken to wearing the Whites her men word in solidarity. She may outrank them, but she didn't see herself as above them. Maybe it was the rattled pilot during the senate hearing that made her act this way, maybe it was memories of the last war, when she was just out of officer school. Her own set of two guards followed her to the door, as she waved them off and entered to the sight of the chancellor, and two of the jedi council, Sword and Shield.

"Nice to finally meet you three." The general smiled as she walked in, looking to Alicio Organa Alicio Organa and giving a firm salute. "Chancellor, I assume you're caught up on the warfront. Glad to see you're getting just as much sleep as the rest of us. I've been going over the reports from Bogan, it's not a pretty picture, but it does show our tech is still doing us plenty of favors. What can I do to help?"

The woman's movements were fluid despite the heavy armor, and were it not for the low ceiling causing her to duck or tilt her head away from some fixture, it would have easily appeared as though she were gliding along the corridor. It was clear that the Canton on Fondor hadn't been constructed with the taller individuals in mind, a fact that she was quietly cursing as she brought her left hand up and pushed a low-hanging chandelier from her path as she continued toward the Chancellor's Officer. The last time she had been in these halls, she had a meeting with the former Chancellor, one that was incomplete with words left unsaid. She couldn't fault the woman, having a similar experience and disappearing from the trappings of Office.

She neither regarded nor disregarded the bodyguards that seemed to populate the corridor just outside of the Office, her attention solely on a meeting. Despite her misgivings and her otherwise desire to remain on Coruscant, she felt the need to play nice as it were, and make an appearance. Still, her history with Alderaan and the Organa Family was a rocky one, and she'd made her choice when she sided with the old Sith Empire when it had invaded Alderaan when that planet sat at the heart of the Free Worlds Coalition. Pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind, the armored edifice stepped into the Chancellor's Office, her attention slowly falling upon Alicio as the Chancellor stood to greet those who had already arrived.

Without a word she merely nodded before stepping toward the corner, placing a fair distance between herself and any open or visible windows or viewscreens. She remained in her little world momentarily as her hands went about the delicate task of unhooking her helmet, a low hiss filling the air as the connections were disconnected and the helm freed. Carefully removing the helm, she placed it down on a table to her left, her silver-white hair cascading down her back and over her shoulders like a waterfall as golden-yellow hues fell upon the individuals in the room. Previously she had had the fortune of meeting and speaking with at least two of the individuals, both the Jedi Grandmaster and her Husband, though she had little in the way of interactions between herself and the General, only knowing Lupa's name from the various communications sent between their offices.

Nodding silently, she took a seat, leaning back slowly in the chair as her back pressed against the cool wall, her hands came to rest along the armrests of the chair. Keeping her attention forward, she carefully slipped one leg over the other, her right knee pressing gently into the back of her left knee as she settled into her seat, yet remained silent. Each movement was deliberate and fluid, as she slipped both of her arms into her lap, her elbows remaining on the armrests. Amelia carefully clasped her hands together, her ears perking up slightly as she finished settling into her seat.

She waited...

She listened...

It was a good thing that the Nobles came in first. Seeing them put his mind at ease, if only a little. If he were to talk strategy with anyone, he'd prefer it to be with people he'd traded babysitting duty with on weekends.

Valery's greeting was warm, but formal. Alicio traded them both a sour smile, withering a little under the word chancellor. Val, at least, knew what he thought of titles. "Grandmaster Noble. Shield of the Jedi. Thank you for your attendance."

The Supreme Commander seemed to almost sneak in, giving him little more than a slight nod. Alicio canted his head to the side at that, his piercing eyes trying to parse through hers to get at the thoughts beneath, before General Visz made herself known.

"Chancellor, I assume you're caught up on the warfront. Glad to see you're getting just as much sleep as the rest of us. I've been going over the reports from Bogan, it's not a pretty picture, but it does show our tech is still doing us plenty of favors. What can I do to help?"

"Not entirely. But I know enough for now." The Chancellor's smile became kinder, smaller, more colored by concern. In honest terms, he'd been pouring over reports constantly since the election. And while he felt out of his depth... well, he was treading water for now. "I'm sure you can help fill in the gaps, General. It's good to meet you."

"But this meeting isn't about what you can do to help me."

Alicio turned to the holotable in the center of the room, turning off all but one of his datapads. "I've only had access to all the reports for a few days, so I'm sure you all know more than me about the situation we find ourselves in. But from what I've been able to read... I don't like our projections."

"I'm not going to stand here and tell you I know the first thing about waging war, because I don't. But I do know management, and I know when systems are under strain. We are under a hell of a lot of it. And the only people keeping it from collapsing outright are in this very room."

"I'm sure even if I weren't here, you could do great things, just the four of you."
Alicio found a sharp smirk. "My main goal today was to connect you all. But I have been entrusted with emergency powers by the people of this Alliance, and for their sake, I'm going to use them."

Alicio's back straightened a little. Despite his fatigue, he was far from broken.

"So, what do you need to win? How can I help you?"
