Geonosis ~ Viceroyalty Assembly Hall ~ Morning
The Halls of the Viceroyalty were truly a sight. From the time when Adron Malvern joined The Confederacy, the size of the Nation had nearly double, meaning that the number of representatives that filled the halls were equally on the rise. The hall was built into a massive atrium, where a single chandelier hung from it's peak providing the entire room with light. The lights had the slightest amethyst hue to them, casting the color across the hall pleasantly. Each planet was given a moderately sized, private booth. The booth contained a console for them to use for the forum or at their leisure. In the center of the hall was a large podium platform, with a few rows of seating behind it for the chief advisory team to the Vicelord, the Ministers, Exarchs, and councilors.

Adron's own amethyst eyes glanced from one end of the hall to another. More and more members of the Viceroyalty began to tricker in, allowing a small upbeat of idle chatter to take over the room.

He glanced over the datapad that laid before him. There were many things the Viceroyalty had to discuss this evening and he was eager to see these matters brought to the Forum. Once most of the members of the Viceroyalty had gathered, the Exarch made his way to the podium. It was a signal for those members of the Viceroyalty to end their own conversations and put their attention on the Head Speaker, who was currently Adron.

"Members of The Viceroyalty, I welcome you to Geonosis once again. I've called this special session so that we may decide the future of The Confederacy's affairs in the greater galaxy. As you've all seen in the last few months there have been multiple Factions and Nations rise to power, some of them close enough to our borders that we must take a moment to decide whether or not their presence may be tolerated and what visions they may have for us." He said simply.

"First, if there are any pressing matters or concerns that anyone here holds, I will give them the floor so they may bring this to our attention first. Does anyone have a grievance to voice?" He called out.

Golbah City, Viceroyalty Assembly Hall
There was a time, not long ago, when the former Viceroy would have been seated among the rest of the members of the Viceroyalty who had gathered - but those days seemed like a distant fever dream at this point. These days she was seated in one of the chairs to the rear of the podium, her own datapad seated firmly across her lap, pale blue eyes alight as the small pad recorded the proceedings for her to listen to again once everything had concluded - leaving her free to instead focus in on those in attendance.

There had been quite a few meetings of late that she'd been attending in place of Malok Malok , though in this instance he was seated not too far from her, his demeanor suggesting that his mind was very much focused on the proceedings that were about to play out before them. The Councillor had no reason to question what his motives were in this instance, especially once she'd watched the recordings of the trail of Ephraim deWinter. There were a few different items on the docket for this particular meeting - but one in particular would be weighing heavier than others.

The Confederacy will not suffer an Empire to live...

She'd heard it muttered before, but while the Viceroyalty had been attempting to determine the fate of the man who had nearly stolen everything from them, their enemies had grown in strength. The ploy to destabilize the New Republic had been a wild success, with the added bonus of the destabilization of their own power base... She doubted very much that the former merc had thought that his orders would have had such far reaching effects.

As Exarch Malvern rose to speak, Valencia straightened in her seat, sliding the datapad forward in her lap a touch to ensure that it picked up what was said clearly. It was time to figure out what it was the Confederacy planned to do with all these new powers on their doorstep.

It was only a matter of time.

Though typically uttered in jest, t'was said that the Core Worlds were an accursed place. On paper, they were a collection of shining gems that any nation would seemingly benefit in holding. Commerce. Prosperity. These seemed to go hand in hand with the planets which were once considered the Galaxy's heart. However. Over the course of recent decades, numerous nations had risen and fallen within the Core. None seemed to survived for thousands of years like the old Republics or Empires.

Yet, despite the mortality rate of governments within the sector, the Core always came to be occupied.

And, beyond this, the Galaxy continued to change. Grow. Devolve. New congregations would always rise - some benevolent, others malicious. It was for this reason that the Viceroyalty chambers were now bustling from the summons of the Exarch. Each member carried upon their shoulders the weight of millions of lives. Each had promised to see to their people's protection - and thus any potential allies or threats had to be assessed early on. Moreover...every soul in the chambers was committed to never being blindsided again.

The mistake of the Eternal Empire would never repeat. Not while they yet breathed.

So it was that the Vicelord settled within his seat as the proceedings began. His cabinet, composed of the various Ministers, the Exarchs, and his own Councilor, sat adjacent to him upon the central podium. Exarch Malvern took center stage as was the norm. Whilst he spoke, Darth Metus settled his gaze upon the latest reports upon his datapad. His own corporate holdings and debriefs from the Knights Obsidian spoke of the same truth - a new power had seized Coruscant. Supposedly beacons of light.

Supposedly.

For now, the Sith held his peace and settled his gaze upon those who had gathered as the floor was completely theirs.

Custani stood frozen in his podium, dressed in his normal, polttical attire. When Exarch Adron Malvern Adron Malvern took to the stage, his posture loosened and his eyes focused on the Sith Lord. It was a wonder as to why he was making the opening remarks rather than what tradition would usually call for. However, it mattered not to him.

"The Viceroyalty of Mechis III offers this inquiry: The recent explosion of the Eternal Empire from the world of Nellevan has caused them to grow beyond what we would dare to allow. This Eternal Empire has grown beyond our right to control and it is for this reason that I ask us to consider the far reaching consequences of our actions earlier!"

And with that, he crossed his arms. His flaming eyes flared beyond control. This was going to be a long meeting.

Tsian had arrived on Geonosis the night before, always keen to avoid debate and discussion immediately after travel. As was custom for her, she wore a pristine military uniform, decorated with various medals and accolades she had earned across her career. Looking around the hall, it began to sink in just really how much Fate had twisted to bring her here.

The viceroyalty position was never meant for her. Even before the Battle of Tanaab, Voph knew that he was being called to other duties within the Confederacy, and so Councilor Aklin was to assume the role. But that was before he died on Tanaab, in a desperate effort to wound the Resolve before it could unleash its payload on the city below. Tsian was originally meant to simply oversee one of Vylmira's military projects. But now she was employed elsewhere. The first meeting had been with Voph at her side. But now? The Viceroy had only her advisers to back her up. She exhaled quietly as the floor was opened to concerns and comments. Of course, the delegate from Mechis III was the first to speak, pointing out that the Confederacy was responsible for the Eternal Empire becoming what it had. Tsian stood, signalling her intent to speak.

"With all due respect, Vylmira would dispute the claims made by the Mechis III delegation. The expansion that has been noted in my reports is too extensive to have happened in the mere months since our previous gathering. And more to the point, prior to that hearing, the Empire was, for better or worse, our ally. Such expansions would have been encouraged for our own sakes, as strong allies make strong borders. Neither I, nor my delegation, see reason to believe the current holdings of the Eternal Empire are the fault of the Confederacy, nor would action on our part have been productive. The systems in question are not within our borders, and an incursion into unallied space for the chance of rooting out an organization that might have been hostile would reflect badly upon our nation. There is no point in bemoaning the could bes or the had beens. The past is behind us. All that remains now is to determine a path forward. And, as my counterpart on Vylmira so aptly put it, 'if you come bearing information I already know, then that is time wasted. Come with solutions, or do not come at all.'"

Tsian sank back into her chair, turning the mic off. It would be a long meeting indeed.

Lyla Quinn

24 Karats Of Rose-Gold Trouble
With a wide, unladylike yawn, the Viceroy of Ryloth leaned back in her booth, arms crossed, boots propped up on the edge. At least she’d remembered to clean the mud off the bottom this time.

Lyla Quinn watched the proceedings with interest, though you wouldn’t guess it from her posture. Her bright azure eyes flicked from corner to corner, face to face, mind abuzz with questions. The political scene fascinated her. She’d spent her first two months in office inwardly terrified of it and its unfamiliar concepts, and her start had been anything but smooth, but with time the fear had turned to interest, and experience observing the professionals had given her some firm ground to stand on at last. The Twi’lek was even starting to enjoy the process.

It’s too bad she’d probably have to leave it all behind soon.

The Lylek Rim Rippers had found her on Ryloth, and she knew exactly what that meant for her, for the planet looking to her to protect them, for The Areta, collecting dust in a hangar near the capitol.

But she wouldn’t run without a plan, and she had some time.
She hoped.

Quinn tuned back into the meeting at hand. Good points had already been made. This wasn’t the first time she’d heard the Eternal Empire mentioned these past months, and although she’d been unable to attend the initial gathering, she’d heard word for word what’d happened.

The smuggler’s mind broke it down to more familiar ideas.
The Empire was a ship. They’d flown with The Areta (The CIS) loyally, until they hadn’t.

Rylana Tualin would have treated them with every fairness, given them every chance to repair what they’d broken.
Lyla Quinn was still deciding her course of action.
But Kora Blod? Daughter of the most savage pirate clan to roam the galaxy? She’d have blown them out of the sky long before they’d become a threat.

How unlucky to be all three of these people at once.

...Maybe best to just listen for a bit. At least until she picked a personality for this meeting.

Credius had already taken place within his seat, flanked by two members of his Valkan guard behind him, who showed a stark contrast with the black of the Knights Obsidian which were present. The man was calmly looking at a datapad he had brought with him, mainly checking the various reports he had gotten on the core worlds from his offices on Coruscant and his shipyards at Xa Fel, there had been several changes to the overal demeanor among the populace within the core after the rise of this newly minted Grayson Imperium. However, the Viceroy of Eriadu hardly deemed this news to be all that alarming, even if it was some zealous, borderline fanatical group following the outdated, dogmatic principles of an irreversably ancient and corrupt order.

Yet, when the Exarch, Adron Malvern raised his voice to open the assembly, Credius placed down the datapad and perked his ears and opened his eyes just for the sake of not missing anything. The Vicelord didn't seem to be all that responsive to the Exarch's opening statement, so Credius didn't really bother to much with it either, calmly listening to the Viceroy of Melchis III speaking up about the Eternal empire, a faction he had heard about, but whose actions predated his own assimilation within the confederacy, though during the last assembly they had been talked about fervently, the Viceroy of Eriadu found it rather to be a nuissance to speak up on this issue at this point.

The words from the Viceroy of Vylmira rang through his head though: strong allies make strong borders. This in itself was almost laughable within Credius' mind, especially with his own system being practically surrounded by the Outer Rim Coalition, which brought about an influx of bandits, smugglers, thieves and spies. He knew that with the Eternal Empire's divergence fresh in the mind of many a politician and official within the confederacy, putting his own plan on the table now would be rather dangerous.

"Though the Viceroy of Vylmira is correct that strong allies do make it somewhat easier to defend one's borders, one must always remain vigilant," For a moment, the Viceroy of Eriadu remained silent, adjusting his cufflinks before grabbing placing his hands down on the edge of his pod. "As such, on a whole different matter, but not entirely unrelated to the topic at hand, I've been working on stabilizing and integrating the other planets within my system, writing up the plans and designs for a system defense force which in conjunction with the Confederate navy could secure our trade through the Hydrean Trade route, which with the Outer Rim Coalition surrounding our borders has been plagued by an influx of bandits, thieves, prates, smugglers and more of their illbegotten ilk."

Xazzex lounged comfortably as the proceedings began. Her eye lids weighed heavily over her eyes as she slowly shifted her attention from one speaker to the next. Slowly, the Falleen Viceroy reached out and plucked a flute from the side table to savor. The alcoholic drink was far more of interest to her than anything being said.

At least until the Viceroy of Eriadu spoke. A few pounds were lifted from her heavy lashes then as the man spoke of securing his system and the Hydrean Trade Route. What an interesting development. It could be beneficial even for Falleen were such route kept clean of the rabble that seemed to infest them. Yes, this topic was of far more interest than the mighty Eternal Empire.

At least Vylmira's delegate did not seem inclined for them all to spend the entire night talking about riff raff outside of their borders. Either crush them into stardust, or move on to more pressing matters. Sadly, any engagement on the matter -- even Vylmira's very retort -- would only prolong the matter. Nothing short of the Head Speaker telling everyone to shut their mouths might end it.

Her empty hand idly waved as she had nothing worth airing before the entire assembly. Honestly, so many Viceroys came here merely to posture. Irksome pests. Any real work was conducted behind closed doors with this little gathering a mere theatrical performance. Did it amuse their Vicelord, perhaps, to watch them dance? How could it? Surely someone of his ability had better things to do.

Falleen could handle any criminals stupid enough to enter their system uninvited. Unlike some, they simply blew them out of space. Yes, even the "innocent" women and children that violated their borders. As though their system were known for being the bleeding hearts of the galaxy. Know whose land you sought to occupy before you foolishly set foot upon it; else accept your fate for your ignorance. Xazzex fully expected at least a handful of "but they're people too" types to buzz about her like gnats before her time on Geonosis was through.

The Minister of War had been sitting in his seat, looking at his datapad for about half an hour before the Exarch commenced the assembly. The chair he sat in was oddly comfortable, even if it was nothing glorious compared to the chair he had in his office on Zaadja, in the Headquarters of the Ministry of War, or the chairs in the sitting room for that matter. Yet he appreciated it for the purpose it served. The annoying discomfort it caused the Minister, due to back pains that had manifested from his advancing age, kept him very much alert to the task he was focused on.

He had been kept rather busy since his last appearance, to the High Marshals of the Confederate Navy, and the Exarch, before the High Marshals had been split into two parts, the Army and the Armada. He had found little time to spend on social gatherings and matters that were anything less urgent. The Hell Hound and it's accompanying fleet had hung in low orbit near the Ministry Head Quarters for months on end. While the crew of the fleet had enjoyed the opportunity of a long break for the month it lasted, they too grew to hate the stillness as the Minister had, as the remaining months had been spent in training, eight hours of it every day. Six on ship, and two on Zaadja with the ground troops.

Nevertheless, even the mundane task of attending an assembly had brought some change to the Minister's schedule, something he was grateful for. He had gladly embarked on the journey to Geonosis, with the Hell Hound and half of it's complementary fleet, the other half left to protect Zaadja.

So that was how he came to sit in the Minister of War's chair that day, wearing a uniform of new design, similar to that of the Confederate Defence Force. Save that it was clad in white to denote his superior rank, regardless of the technicalities that rank had.

When the Exarch made his address, he slipped the datapad into a pocket, his gazing lifting to the Exarch, listening intently. He had heard of the Eternal Empire separating from the Confederacy, yet he had neither the time nor role to pursue it further. Any details of it were welcome and new to him. Once the Exarch had finished the introductory speech, the Minister listened with indifference to the matters of the Viceroyalty. There were few matters he could speak on, unless directly addressed to his role as Minister of War.

Kyber hadn't bothered to reenter the political sphere of the CIS in a rather long time and had stayed on his own planet for quite a few years forming an iron grip on the planet and dealing with possible rivals while also spending his past time experimenting on rakghouls and recently other forms of bio-engineering working on his what he believed would be his greatest art piece. Overtime the shard had gotten somewhat bored of his work and needed a break and something to stimulate himself with for a bit and what better way than go to one of the viceroy sessions he always skipped out on.

Kyber sat down near the Minister of War one of the few organics the shard actually liked personally after all they did go to a conference where the one rule was not to bring a war ship and so they brought the biggest star destroyer they could muster. The Black Steel Guard stood behind him completely for show while Kyber's favourite shadowghoul sat next to his chair where Kyber would pat it like one would pat their pet massiff even if the shadowghoul was just a droid and would find no pleasure in being pat.

Had the first topic be about the Eternal empire which until now Kyber thought were still working for the CIS he would have jokingly tried to see if he could make droid rights a topic but the current topic was far more interesting so Kyber sat quietly scanning the room when one of the viceroys changed the subject to dealing with pirates which seemed to interest the green viceroy while the Minister of War didn't even seem to care about the pirate problem.
" Fear not That One known as the Viceroy of ummmmmmm niv. . no Eriadu yes Viceroy of Eriadu This One is sure that That One known as the Minister of War already has a plan in action to deal with the pirate menace that Those Ones known as the Outer Rim Colloation has so kindly gifted us so That One has no need to make That One's own plan and all That One needs to do is trust in That One known as the Minister of War to protect These One's trade routes and borders"
Kyber spoke in his own strange matter with his metallic voice.

For the most part, the Vicelord was content to allow his compatriots the floor. Every soul who had gathered within the chamber had their own agendas - had their own trillions to answer to. It was not often that they convened as thus in peacetime. The guarantee of sovereignty of one's world made it so that most problems were solved in-house with very little federal intervention. The Knights Obsidian being the sole exception that was always on hand to assist. Thus, the Sith initially said nothing, only shifting in his seat as to increase his personal comfort. As one leg laid over the other, his datapad came to rest upon his thigh.

Of course the first matter of business mentioned was that of the Eternal Empire. The rather turbulent gathering was yet fresh in the minds of many Viceroys. Since then, it became immediately apparent that the Imperials within their borders had grand aspirations. Before formal, inquisitive boots could hit the ground of Nelvaan, the planet's personnel had largely been...vacated. All reports pointed to a grand departure well outside their borders - and thus a vacuum had formed upon the world. To date, Srina Talon Srina Talon 's task of investigating the claims of the now-banished Ephraim yet continued.

Overall, the treacherous nation had left a sour taste in the Vicelord's mouth. An an everlasting wound upon his apprentice. For now, securing their own space was Paramount. Thus, when the Viceroy of Eriadu voiced his intentions, Darth Metus' eyebrows ascended ever so slightly. The added commentary from Kalinda's representative would finally give them man cause to speak. But not before a missive was quietly typed upon his datapad. One directed to the Minister of War's own device personally.

I expect to be thoroughly informed of the Eriadu system's progress.

With the expectation set with the Minister, the Vicelord raised his hand for but a moment.

"While unsavory individuals are a reality of any corner of space, I will remind you are that the Outer Rim Coalition remains one of our oldest and most trusted allies. I am certain they are making every effort to mitigate criminal activity within their borders and without."

"However. That does not eliminate the reality of dangerous activity that Eriadu and our border worlds are facing. To combat this, I will be working with the Ministry of War to expand and focus our naval operations in the area. As of present, the Chommel and Miranda Sector Armadas have been tasked with a wide berth of territory to cover. Some might even say they are stretching their resources thin. It is time that new Armadas be organized and tasked with the permanent coverage of our expanded regions of space."

"Tentatively it is my proposal to headquarter these Armadas about Eriadu and Fondor respectively. Representative of Eriadu, as you are in attendance, what say you to this?

"And to all, do you find this measure sufficient to stem the tide or piracy and other threats facing our border worlds?"

The reminder and the measure were certainly needed ones. At least in the Vicelord's humble opinion.

"What?!" the word slipped outbefore he could control his anger. It seemed Mechis III had some completion in the name of Eridua. But alas, Custani had an ace up his sleeve.

"I would also like to mention that production of Battle Droids on Mechis III has increased by over 150%. Billions of Battle Droids are being produced as our a series of Shipyards. Within the next two weeks, we will deploy Fleets and Armies to Confederate Worlds at risk. My dear friends, you may be wondering what I am asking of you. That is simple: Faith, Faith in Mechis III and faith that we can overcome any struggle. With that being said, I would like to issue Mechis III official request to head the production of Battle Droids."

And with that he leanded into his anger. He turned to face many of his fellow representatives, who looked in shock at him. How could a singe planet manufacture enough Battle Droids to protect Territory as big as the Confederacy. he would show them how.

The Viceroy of Eriadu did not sit down after his speech, rather to continue extolling his presence and to project the very power his words held, he only made a courteous nod when it became apparent that the Vicelord was about to speak after having heard the plight and the ambition of the Eriadu system. Though the words that followed, resonating through the assembly sounded mainly like a way to curtail the Eriaduan Viceroy's ambition, they seemed rather hollow and empty, almost as if the Vicelord knew that the System at the edge of the Confederacy of Independent Systems had far more potential than Credius made it out to have. Even if it was surrounded by the Outer Rim Coalition, it did lay right on the crossroads of various important traderoutes and credits flowed rapidly within theviceroy's coffers through his own company's stake within those monetary dealings.

The fact that the two closest armada's had been stretched thin wasn't a secret to the Viceroy of Eriadu either, in response to that he had already drawn up the plans for a rapid response army in the form of the Eriadu System Defence Forces, thus the request or rather the demand that facilities would be placed on Eriadu to further increase the presence of the Confederate Defense Forces was not at all unexpected nor entirely unwanted, as coordination with the much larger and arguably more professional forces would allow for better coverage and security within the region.

"Your grace, as per your request, I will ensure that there is ample space and room for the Confederate forces to establish a moderate amount of bases preferably on the planets Eriadu and Erinar within the system, which provide the bulk of my system's populace and trade power," With another nod, the man acknowledged the Vicelord's demand, not willing to risk the progress and potential increase in his own power by making any stupid demands or foolish counters at this point. However, when the Viceroy of Melchis III spoke up without restraint and without any proper request of the floor, Credius glared at the man with a seething anger visible within his cold, silver eyes. "Perhaps his Grace may request the esteemed Minister of war to pay Eriadu a visit beforehand, to better investigate the optimal allocation of bases and to ascertain the amount of ships necessary to ensure a combined cooperative with my forces within the region."

Letting out a sigh, the Viceroy closed his eyes for a moment. "However, I do request that per the stipulations of the agreements on which the viceroyalty is formed, the Fleets present within my system are prohibited from interfering with internal security or policies as long as there is no declaration of war or marshal law."

The Minister reached into his pocket, retrieving his datapad as he felt it subtly vibrate against him. After swiping through a few other documents and such-like information, he got to the Vicelord's missive, and nodded his head. He slid the device back into his uniform, and listened intently to the resulting debate, and the outbursts and outrage of the Viceroy of Mechis III, something he hoped would not be a constant in all meetings the Viceroy partook in. He then repositioned himself to better give his own address.

"I support the Vicelord's idea of expanding our current selection of Armadas wholeheartedly. However, I would like to propose another solution to the threats faced by Border Worlds, not just on our border with the Outer Rim Coalition, but across the whole Confederacy. A Border Armada, for lack of a better name. It's purpose would be to control and administer the Confederacy's borders, and provide immediate aide to Border Worlds should they come to threat, aswell as a temporary military presence in sectors we have recently expanded into until a permanent armada can be set up in those sectors."

The Minister of War paused, placing the idea before the assembly of Viceroys, before his calm and authoritative voice once again spoke up.

"Viceroy Valcho, it is not within my immediate authority to grant that request, not within the presence of the Vicelord. However, I ask that you do not over-stress the facilities at Mechis III, as it would do us better to produce five million droids a month for a long period of time on Mechis III, rather than billions in one month, than dedicating billions of credits to repairing and rebuilding shipyards and factories that have catastrophically failed due to being over-stressed. I am not a man of faith, Viceroy, I am a man of facts. Faith will not keep your shipyards and factories from breaking, but sticking to their limits will. I also request that you, in future, keep such outbursts to an absolute minimum."

The Minister paused once again, allowing the Viceroyalty time to listen, particularly the Viceroy in question.

"As for the Ministry of War's involvement in this matter, Viceroy Nargath, I assure you that not only will I be present, but also top-rated designers and technicians who have done this many times before. Your system will have my immediate attention, due to the threat you receive from pirates. Until such a time as a permanent armada can be set up, I will be sending the Storm Fleet, accompanied by the C.N.S. Hell Hound, to provide a military presence. I can promise that the Confederate Defense Force will not interfere within internal matters of planetary security or government unless you request so, or they do so upon orders of the Office of the Vicelord, or myself. They however, have full authority to take necessary, immediate action against a threat to national security, after reporting it to their superiors."

"I trust this is satisfactory to fulfil your current needs, Viceroy Nargath?"

The Minister of War was then silent, giving the floor to responses from the Viceroyalty assembled there on that day.

It looked like he was not the only one getting rather agitated by the impetuous demands and offers made by the Viceroy of Melchis III, if no one would've stepped up to berate the man for his rather ridiculous claim and decisively strenuous offer, Credius would've opted for something that could've been called drastic, but luckily for the Viceroy of Melchis III, the Minister of War and de facto head of the entire Confederate military forces except for the Vicelord and his two exarchs, stepped up to allow for the Viceoyalty to hear his own thoughts on the matters at hand. The minister's voice was calm and authorative enough to please Credius, especially as the levelheadedness the man displayed showed him to be a man of intelligence and a pragmatist of logic thought.

"Honored Minister, I gracefully accept your proposal and will welcome you with the greatest of honors within my system upon your arrival," The Viceroy of Eriadu made a calm nod towards the minister to show his acceptance towards the man's agreeing position on the matters laid bare by Credius himself. However, yet again the viceroy did not sit down to return to the complacency so obviously present within the minds of most of the assembly present. In stead, he kept a keen eye and an open ear to what was being strewn around in regards to the droid foundries on Melchis III, deciding that perhaps he could be more active in the reformations to the Confederate military, the Viceroy of Eriadu almost instantly picked up where he left, trying to avoid from having his colleague from Melchis III to sour the talks even further. "I do support the idea of the honorable minister to secure not just my own border but those of the entirity of the confederacy, yet rather than constructing a large, lumbering force to patrol the other borders of the Confederacy, perhaps employing a strong core legion which emphasizes fast maneuvres and rapid response would be a better and more cost and time efficient option. I have no doubt that the Confederate military, navy and the offices of the Ministry of war are capable to draw up a proper design to such a force in conjunction with the corporate sector which would no doubt be more than willing to aid the ministry in this endeavour."

Finally having had his say, the Viceroy of Eriadu settled down and got back into his seat, where he hoped he'd be remaining for the rest of the time, as he really was short on time in regards to someof his own projects.

Tsian stood as Credius spoke, signalling her intent to respond, and pulling out a small datapacket she had prepared for this meeting. Not quite in this context, but such an opportunity would not present itself again. "Ladies and Gentlemen of the Viceroyalty. Viceroy Nagrath, I believe we already have a solution to your proposal. If you all will turn your attention to the datapackets that are being broadcast to your devices, I would like to introduce you to an organization that has called Vylmira home since the rediscovery of our world."

Tsian paused, to give those interested time to access the data before she continued. "For reasons I am sure you all will understand, some of this information is on a need to know basis, but rest assured that the appropriate offices have this information readily available. The Vylmiran Defense Force, funded and maintained in part by the generosity of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, has origins spanning back even before the first Confederacy during the Clone Wars. Before it was brought into our fold, it was an organization known as the Octarchy Covenant. While present times see the Covenant at a height only before seen in the days after its founding, it has endured across generations. Some times as armies, some times as militias. Even, some times as a single torch bearer, seeking to make the galaxy a better place."

Tsian turned her attention to Credius directly. "The Octarchy Covenant was originally designed on a rather grand scale, but has since shrunk its scope to the far more achievable bounds of Confederate Borders: To hold the ability to have an entire battle group and all relevant support ships anywhere within the galaxy within a matter of hours. The ships, which some of you may be familiar from their roles in the Battle of Tanab, are designed to do just this. Their hyperdrives are tuned to allow arrival at any Confederate world in record time, and their firepower such that they can hold the line until further help arrives, or entirely alone if need be."

"Vylmira's location near the heart of Confederate Territory means that it has little use for a navy such as the one we currently boast, and are more than happy to lend our firepower to the aid of our sister planets. Whatever may be asked of us, we are prepared to accomplish."
Tsian turned her attention to Kenway. "Minister, I ultimately leave the choice to your discretion. If you should desire further information of the capabilities of our ships, we may discuss the matter later."

The moment the Exarch opened the forum to discussion, it began. The halls of politics were difficult to control, as a simple flame could easily be spun into a twisting inferno. One of the first to speak was the Viceroy of Mechis III. As soon as the Viceroy began to speak, the Exarch leveled his eyes against him. Was he insinuating that the growth of the Eternal Empire was somehow the result of action/inaction by The Confederacy. For a moment Adron said nothing, instead he allowed the man to speak. The next to speak the Tsian Denira Tsian Denira , the newly appointed Viceroy of Vylmira. Her words mirrored the mind of the Exarch, so at the conclusion of her words he would speak.

"I agree with the Viceroy of Vylmira. The current status of the Eternal Empire is not something that the Confederacy could have foreseen. Their exodus from Nelvaan was, in many ways, for the best interest of The Confederacy."

Next to speak was Credius Nargath Credius Nargath . The viceroy of the Eriadu system. The moment the man spoke, Adron's eyes seemed to close for a few shallow moments. His lips curled into a slight smile, as he understood the meaning of Credius' words. His eyes turned back to Malok Malok . His Master would surely have taken note of this as well, Credius was a man of aspirations and that was not something to be underestimated.

When Darth Metus did decide to speak, it was in address to the entire Forum. Adron listened to his words, nodding his head at them and looking to the Viceroyalty who it pertained to.

When next Custani Valcho Custani Valcho spoke once again, it was Adron who raised a hand to silence the hall. "Viceroy. If I understand you correctly, you are asking that Mechis III become a forerunner in the production of Battle Droid units for The Confederacy?"

"This cannot be." The Exarch said, his eyes falling on the man with an indifferent expression. "If we focus our Battle Droid production to one world it will become a target for a number of problems. Enemies will seek it's destruction, it's economy would have to be prioritized over other worlds, it would give that world military favoritism, and it would be easier to tamper with our military if it's main combat force is produced in one location."

The Exarch said no more, watching the exchange between the Viceroyalty with some interest. It was his duty to keep the Forum organized, aside from that he was interested in seeing politics at work. His eyes turned to Viceroy Tsian Denira Tsian Denira once again. She had offered Vylmira's naval forces in creating some kind of task force that would help to support the nation's borders? There were standing armadas who should have been handling such a thing, but if the Minister of War felt more military forces were needed then the Exarch felt no need to deny this, so long as it could be properly organized and budgeted.

The proceedings, as they so often did when there was an opportunity for an open floor among the Viceroyalty, had become heated almost immediately following the Exarch's introductions. The smile that the Councilor offered to Adron Malvern Adron Malvern as he took up his position at the podium to hear out what promised to be a hefty myriad of complaints was professional, but offered a touch of compassion as well. Hopefully, there would never come a day when the ruling King of Illyria decided he no longer had the patience for this kind of work - since she assumed that her previous experience, speaking on behalf of Manda as their Viceroy, would put a massive target on her back for the position of speaker... If the world was kind, Exarch Malvern would remain a patient man for many years to come.

The items that had been added to the agenda seemed to begin ticking themselves off preemptively as the gathered representatives took it in turns to speak; the Empire that had taken root to the West, their current relations with their allies, defence... Check. Check. Check.

Leaning back in her seat and crossing her legs before her, Valencia scooped up the datapad that she'd left laying in her lap as Tsian Denira Tsian Denira , began to speak, glancing down as the datapacket flared to life across the small screen. Her fingers moved deftly as she examined the contents, brows raising as she began to skim over the information pertaining to the Octarchy Covenant, the Viceroy and her people having put together a succinct description of the group's history and current leanings... They'd be an asset to any system they were loaned out to, and she hoped it would be enough to table their current discussion on border safety towards their allies to the South.

Lifting her eyes from the softly glowing screen in her lap, the blonde spared a glance to the man seated beside her, looking put together in the suit he'd chosen for the occasion, and focussed wholly on the discussions as they played out before them. Malok Malok looked to the world to be well-rested and alert, but just as she had been spread thin of late, she knew he too would be running on a steady stream of sleep deprivation and caf... There was little to be done for it, but she hoped that with the rise of new powers to prominence in the galaxy it would not cost him any more of the precious little time he already had.

Turning her attention away from the man who was effectively her boss, pale blue eyes swept back to the datapacket that was displayed on her screen, noting the sections that had been redacted from most that were gathered, making a note to review those pieces once she had time to relisten to the meeting and get her own notes together for Metus to review... It was going to be a busy few days ahead, it seemed.

All things considered, Bastille was quite a new player in the game called intergalactic politics. He'd spent all of his life as ruler over the Dejoka'ar of Ra'Katha, and in the palace environment of Saltuhn it was he who was the Rajek of the pack, the largest predator and most powerful. Yet in this administrative hall of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, where it seemed every Viceroyal disguised their own ambitions and will under a thin vernier of politeness and a strange dark man held the true power of this assembly, Bastille was well aware that he was no longer the largest Rajek anymore. And so he would change how he played the game, for the benefit of his own planet was forever at the forefront of his mind. A lact of tact, something that a number of his colleagues seemed to be displaying, would not land him very far.

Most of this debate bored Bastille, for the most part. The Viceroyals from the Eriadu and Mechis systems seemed to be concerned about war production and criminalities streaming in from neighboring governments, yet Ra'Katha had none of these advantages for it. Thanks to careful orchestration by Bastille, he had been sure to carefully reopen the ore production and exportation industry, reviving Ra'Katha's economy ever so slowly. But the Kemotar of Saltuhn had a very strong feeling that peace would be in the best interest of Ra'Katha and strengthening its trade relationships not only in the Confederacy but in the worlds outside of the Confederacy's borders. As the debate seemed to die down with Exarch Adron Malvern Adron Malvern 's harsh words towards the Exarch from Mechis, Bastille felt it was time for his introduction.

Bastille stepped forward towards his own podium, flanked by two of his
Kemotar guards that had traveled with him from Ra'Katha. Bastille's orange-and-yellow robes were contrasted by the more dutiful reds and browns of the guards, and Bastille made sure to cross his hands deliberately and thoughtfully as he arrived at the podium. "My esteemed colleagues," he began as he called the attention of the floor. "That the defense of the Confederacy is an ever-present thought to the Viceroyalty is a pleasure to hear, especially when I herald from the borders of Confederate space. The people of Ra'Katha have nothing but heartfelt gratitude for the protection that this body has and continues to provide us with. But I dare to ask, is it wise to consume all of our time with thoughts of war production when we could instead pursue different avenues that might lead to a much greater socioeconomic advantage and prosperity for our worlds and the Confederacy as a whole? Ra'Katha's economy, and I assume the economy of many other planets throughout the Confederacy, rely heavily on unrestricted trade both domestically and abroad. I motion that this chamber revisit our laws and policies when it comes to intergalactic trade, as to more competitively adapt to the new galactic economic environment."

Xazzex had the rare inclination to scowl at Credius being offered the 'best' in personnel and resources to secure his borders, and those of nearby systems. An inclination, but not one she visibly expressed. After all, such a 'boon' was at best a double-edged sword. The Falleen was impressed to glean an inkling the man understood this as well. Those of power sought to keep the Viceroy from getting full of himself, while the Viceroy sought to throw off their alarm.

It would be of interest were the Confederacy to simply dump resources into the Falleen's lap. However, as her world already discovered by accepting the generous offer of friendship by this government, such things came with a heavy price. It was the sole reason Xazzex did not vie for attention like so many others. Her world participated to ensure the Confederacy did not encroach upon their sovereignty and the off chance something of worthy surfaced. Not because they wanted hand outs.

As she consumed her drink, the young Falleen continued t regard the Viceroy of Eriadu, Credius Nargath Credius Nargath , even while others spoke. His ambition was of interest to her. Perhaps there were business opportunities between their worlds. Ones that need not be aired so publicly.

Then the Ra'Kathan, Bastille Rommer Bastille Rommer , spoke. The world of precious materials recently acquired. No doubt quite eager to squeeze every drop of blood from the Confederacy to bolster their own. Shrewd, but at what cost? Years or decades from now what would the Confederacy expect of them from their investments? Perhaps they sought to dance to the music and evade unwanted embraces. Xazzex wished them the best... after all, their resources could be of use to Falleen as well.
