We Need a New Home (Suggestions Please)

So while we have our own thoughts, I was wondering where you the members of our glorious faction want to have us try to live and go major. So please any suggestions are welcome! Come on don't be shy!

Suggested Planets/Regions

Silken Asteroids, its a secluded area were we can role play the area being safe, and when strong enough, wreck the lords of the fringe :3 .

I'd like to have us still have the option of taking Crina back eventually...but the only places far enough from the OS at the moment that I can find in that region are Mugg Fallow and Crakull.

I don't think any of us want to colonize a zombie planet and generally it is a sparse area.

That said, I think we should take Utapau. With that as our center we can take the Silken Asteroids and use that as a fleet base and production center, dev up defenses all up to high heaven. We can also go to Elrood and take a piece of that hyperlane, eventually going southwest until we can take Demonsgate, and control a Phrik planet.

I think we should take a while to stretch out feet and play it out as being a "Fleet in Exile" until we can figure things out. There is no reason to rush into going Major right away, and having the freedom to detach ourselves from a planet may serve us well. There is a lot of space around Csilla, Asashi, and Atrishia, as well as pleeeenty of space south of the Fringe. Space where we can have room to grow and find ourselves before being bombarded by skirmishes and invasions against a much larger faction.

The thing is though, is IClly, and OCCLY it would benefit us to go major route, we can still role play the fleet in exile for awhile, until we build up , and take more planets. The problem is, we cannot have large armies, or resources without planets. We eventually, if we want to obtain our IC goals, will have to go major.

Depends on what we want? Do we want to be as far away from the Sith as possible, they seem out for our blood and putting a galaxy between us might not be the worst idea.

Looking at the map I noticed Formos, nothing special, near Kessel and old Hutt Space, smack bang between the Red Ravens and the Silver Jedi, two factions I can't particularly see us having issues with.

Formos was originally written for the Fantasy Flight Roleplaying Games where it is described as a backwater world in the Outer Rim. It stands at the junction of two busy hyperspace routes, the Pabol Sleheyron which runs Coreward into nearby Hutt Space and the Trellus Trade Route which provides access to both spin ward and trailing regions of the Outer Rim.
Furthermore, Formos is directly linked to Kessel via a narrow corridor of navigable space known as the Kessel Run.

Air is breathable, cool climate. However does have a lacking of moisture creating a perfect harsher environment for training.

I suggest Vjun.

Why?

First-things-first. In any situation when a nation crumbles, the main concern is conservation of cultural relics, wealth, and political heads. The world of Vjun would work well as a temporary location for a few reasons.

A.) It's a hostile world filled with canyons, acid rain, mountains, and plateaus making it a defensible and secluded world.

B.) It's protected by Mandalorian Space and near both The Republic and Silver Jedi Order.

C.) It has historical ties to the Empire.

The One Sith have effectively declared their war so it'd make sense to relocate your assets on a secluded world with diplomatic access to potential allies. Not to mention I believe the world has a lot of offer as far as roleplay goes.

Of course I only suggest this as a temporary world, since when it's time to go major again I understand it'll be a good idea to have breathing room in which case I suggest old Moross or Black Sun space.

I dont see why we should run and hide from the OS. Let them attack, becvause we are sure should be attacking them. Crina will be reataken and eventually we should run Corellia as well. *shrugs*

Well from an IC perspective they just took our capital. It's unrealistic to suggest we have the resources or manpower to mount a direct offensive and guerrilla warfare doesn't make sense for Imperialists. Temporary exile is the most logical and fruitful course.

From an OOC perspective, well... Minor factions aren't allowed to own planets so we need to be extra careful when choosing where to relocate ourselves ICly. That's mainly why I suggested Vjun. It's in a nook behind Mandalorian territory which can give us an opportunity to roleplay with them and the other surrounding neighbors include the SJO and Republic which also offers us some outreach.

So until the IR is major again we cannot take back Crina. Also, Corellia is wrecked.

Yeah, but considering the recent domination thread where the sithers took Crina, we would have been capable of defeating them, post wise.
It is not like we are a totaly new faction - We were just recently major and would have stayed so if we had gotten a few weeks to reorganise.
If the leaders will it we can go major again sometime soon,. I hunger to go put those sith freaks in place soon. Lets not avoid this potential conflict..

EDIT - what I mean is that if we place outrselves to far away from Crina it would be even harder to return there for ourselves. And I am assuming that is major goal for our faction.

The Mandalorians won't be happy if you decide to tuck in nice and close to their capital planet. They're a bit territorial about that and are already peeved that they're having a hard time reclaiming their old territory. Parking on a bit of former Mandalorian real estate just pisses them off and puts you on the long list of people to deal with when they get around to it...

It's... maybe 4-5 Dominions to stretch a bit of territory from Csilla to Crina. And it's mainly a strait shot.

Csilla's also close enough for them to invade right off the bat too though.

A few new worlds seemed to have caught everyone's interest too though. A faction thread where we regroup right after Crina will be going up soon though guys. Give us all a chance to meetup and rp together. This will hopefully be a great way for the new folk to start rping their Imperials as well.

Personally, I believe the best course of action in my eyes is to aim straight for the Maw, from an IC perspective, the IR may still have records of where the safe spot is in the Maw, where the first Death Star was built, but give that it's been about 500 years, give or take, I'm unsure if that safe spot could still exist.

It's a very risky bargain, but if we could find that safe spot within the Maw, that the One Sith would not know about, we would have a secret base that could only be accessed by Imperial ships with it's location, the black holes would provide a defensive bonus against a Sith invasion fleet, plus the Maw doesn't really count as a planet, more of an anomaly, so it's probably up for grabs.
