Causstik Rahn stalked the forest of Elrood hunting the most dangerous game. A rogue Sith who had been captured by the Trandoshans. Causstik had held the man aboard his freighter for hours. Eventually the man came too and Causstik released him into the planets dense jungle. Causstik had given the man a few hours head start, but now his Kath hounds sat hungrily. They bayed for blood.

Causstik held the mans robe to the dogs nose and they took the scent. He cut them from their leash and they bound through the forest. They caught the trail quickly. He followed them through the forest as they sniffed the ground in search of their prey. Yes.. This was indeed the most dangerous game. Only someone as slippery as a Sith could provide for so much sport.

Causstik bent over and found a shred of the man's clothing. He had apparently been caught in some kinda thorn bush. No matter it didn't seem to slow him down. The fool was being clumsy though. If he kept leaving signs such as these Causstik would find him in no time. The man's saber sat on Causstik's hip. He caressed it lovingly now, as he thought of the mans blood running between his fingers. Soon he'd have a scalp to match. His Kath hounds had gone ahead and now he could here a slight yelping.

His dog's were in trouble, Causstik raced ahead to find the creatures. He'd punish them later, but for now he must find them. They were loyal creatures. Pure breeds that were beyond worth. If anything had happened to one he would make the Sith pay. He valued these dogs more then his own Kin. Causstik trudged through the foliage and found a small trail of blood...

The man had made a trap. A hole that had been covered with leaves. His dog had fallen in. It's leg might have been broken, but it was alive. He found a nearby vine and placed it down the hole. He jumped in after his dog. The other whined noisily at the base up top. He inspected the beast and found it had only sprained it foot. He hoisted it onto his shoulders then scaled the wall. He placed the dog on the ground and retrieved a bandage from the his bag. He wrapped the dogs paw then tied it to a nearby tree.

It would only slow his hunt down for now. Causstik gave the dog a flick to the nose. It should not have been so stupid. He had trained them better then that. They were not to make such mistakes. His dog whined and lowered its head in submission. He patted it on the head knowing that the beast would never make the same mistake again. The sun was beginning to set and he'd have to find shelter soon if he didn't find the Sith before nightfall.

He and his hound began on the trail again. They found it relatively easy. The man left a bigger trail then a Rancor. Causstik was careful not to crush the soft leaves beneath his feet. The hound not so much. He was wary of more traps, so he would not let it leave his sight. They traveled well into the night until they came upon a stream. The trail went cold here. Causstik decided to make camp. He pitched his tent and set a fire.

He withdrew some salted meat and roasted it on a spit. He threw the fat to his dog and drank heavily from the stream. He made a hammok in the trees and his tent hung from branches. He knew better then to sleep on the ground. All matter of poisonous creatures would be lurking their. Waiting for the next unsuspecting camper to sleep their last.

Causstik awoke in the morning with a start. Something began to slither up his arm. A snake by the feel of it. He was careful to make no sudden movements. When it slithered atop his chest and he could see it the snake raised its head and tasted the air. Causstik subconsciously mimicked the action with a flick of his tongue. The snake made to strike, but Causstik caught the creatures head between deft hands. He snapped its neck with a thumb. He took down his hammock and tent then repacked them in his bag. He unleashed his hound and together they wandered to the stream.

He had his hound traverse one side of the stream while he himself walked along the other. Eventually his dog regained the scent and the hunt was on again. Causstik crossed the stream to join his dog and together they tracked the man. As he carried on he began to notice strange rocks emerging with crystalline structures jutting out.

Causstik paused to study the formations. The stone seemed familiar to him, but he could not quiet place it. Then he remembered. Elrood was home to Void stone. A crystal that could be used to hamper the force. He fumbled around the ground until he found a rock of sufficient size. he Brought the rock high above his head then threw it downwards with all his might. The stone formation shattered revealing the crystal innards within. He carefully picked the rocks apart and studied the strange gems.

He grabbed a few handfuls then placed them in his bag. He pulled a few of his 8 gage shells from his bag and unrolled them. He dumped the pellets out and filled them with the crystalline shards. He rolled the shells back up and melted the tips. He loaded them into his scatter gun and fired at a dead tree. The bark scattered and in its place multiple small crystals stuck out of it. He smirked to himself...

They had finally managed to close the trail. The man was attempting to cross a swamp. Causstiks dog sat eagerly on the bank while the large Trandoshan ran after the man. Then something happened. Causstik was attacked by a pack of crocodiles. It somehow appeared they were working FOR the Sith. He had some sort of hold on them that Causstik could not explain. Causstik phrik claws sprang from his gauntlet and he entered the melee. One of the creatures bit his arm, but Causstik impaled its head with a phrik clad knife. The other swam around and bit at his calf. It atempted to roll, but Causstik managed to kick free. He spun round and fired an 8 gage shell right into its head. He would skin these creatures latter.

Causstik ran after the man through the swamp. His enhanced muscles closed the distance quickly and he was soon face to face with the man...

"Wha- What do you want from me?" The man asked terrified. "I want your hide," Causstik replied. He fired a round at the man and he dove left. The man fired a torrent of lightning at Causstik. It wavered, faltered, until finally it produced little more then a tingle along Causstiks arms. So the stone does work... The hunter thought. He loaded the special shells while the man tried to run away. He bounded after him through the swamp. He fired and winged the man. The crystals stuck embedded in his shoulder, but still he ran. He atempted to use the force but found he could not.

Causstik pounced. With one great lunge he tackled the man to the ground. They fell into the swamp with a splash and Causstik's phrik daggers emerged from his gauntlets. He brought his fist down right into the mans heart. The fellow gave out one last sigh then slumped over, obviously dead.

Causstik Brought a large knife to the mans head and dragged the serated teeth against his scalp. He gave a strong yank and the skin tore loose with ease. He tied the trophy to his shoulder while it was still wet. Killing a force user had been surprisingly easy to Causstik. He pondered on the crystal and its uses. He made his way back through the swamp and paused by the Crocs. It would be a shame to let such nice hides to go to waste. He brought his knife along their spine and began skinning them. Carful not to tear the flesh to much.

He rolled them up then tied them atop his bag...

Along the way back Causstik retrieved his second dog. It had caught a small animal and Causstik let him eat it. The dog had waited patiently for almost two days before devouring the creature. Such patience was to be commended and certainly made up for the dogs folly. They made their way back to the hunters ship. Causstik treated the hides and hung them up to dry atop great meat hooks. He took the scalp and left it beneath a heating lamp. Then he sat at a bench and pored the rest of the crystals out. He decided he would encrust his armor in the precious gems..
