Wedding Bells & Beer Pong (Mandalorians and Atrisians)

"If ya punch him," Zandra replied with a grin, "I will do no such thing. You just leave Corrin to me and be sure to punch out a bridesmaid or two."

Zandra checked her reflection in a little pocket mirror before they went to greet people. She wore red on her lips and eyeliner so thick she was sure she felt the extra weight on her eyelids. Perfect. The trashier she looked, the better this wedding was sure to turn out. At least for her. I would be funnier.

The Echani smiled at [member="Strider Garon"], but her smile faded some when her husband greeted the groom.

"Where's the booze?" she asked, hand on her hip, "Ain't a wedding 'til were all good and drunk."

That was her way of making an introduction. No cares were given how she came across. The way she saw it, if she was not liked instantly by a total stranger, she'd probably survive it.

[member="Calico Tal'verda"]

Adenn quickly looked over [member="Ice"]'s face when he removed his helmet, and he quickly found that he did not recognize the man, but the rally master was not sure if that fact gave him any more comfort about the man, but he pushed those thoughts aside so he could concentrate on more current matters. Upon hearing [member="Anastasia Rade"]'s question the bounty hunter tucked his helmet under his left arm before answering it "Things are fine, I've got a small company now, which is letting me develop some new weapons for more... Personal use," Adenn lied, as most of the weapons he was developing under his companies name were for larger scale use, for what though the man had not decided on "And the company helps me sell the prototypes that don't work as expected. But it is nice to see some familiar faces though."

[member="Anastasia Rade"] [member="Ice"]

"Ice" raised an eyebrow at the mention of businesses and weapons. Somehow with the way he said it, "Ice" didn't imagine personal use had anything to do with any design being made. Still the comment intrigued him very much. That was after all the field he was in. Well to be fair, he and his maker had their hands in quite a few cookie jars. But weapons tended to get the most attention. Especially the larger designs. "Weapons development you say?" "Ice" said with a bit of enthusiasm. "I happen to be in the same field and then some. What is the name of the company you own if you don't mind my asking? I'm curious if I have seen any of your products in my section of the galaxy."

He hoped Ana wouldn't mind if he got into a little bit of business. It was more of a hobby for him. So it never really felt like business. He also hoped Adenn wouldn't mind him asking a few questions. There truly was no harm or ill intent meant by them. Though he would be mindful to keep how much information he himself divulged to a minimum if at all possible as he was still trying to keep a semi low profile.

Not Ordo

Just under the upper hand.

Verne was about as interested in a wedding as a Roba was the karking smoker. Preliat was a good ol'boy and he liked his little atrisian Mama so Verne would try and lo9k past her lesser heritage. He took off his helmet and jammed a cigar in his mouth and lit end.

"Vilamena you better keep your little paddy poker to yer self." He said loudly as he looked around, "you don't need an half Mando bastards running around using our name."

Verne looked around to see if he could find a good Mando woman that was too drunk to make good decisions so he would have half a chance in haran.

Ana's company made some weapons and ships but mainly it focus on medical advancements. There were plenty of Mandalorian weapons makers out there as it was. Now a days it seemed as if everyone had their own company. She didn't mind shop talk, it had potential to give her ideas for what to make in that area.

"Do you ever sell to the outside?" She would think that someone with an actual company would sell to more than themselves. If they wanted something of their own wasn't it just easier to make that a side project?

"I'll have to admit, having a company of my own is nice. I'm able to work with a team on my ideas in the way of medicine of course my research and development team have amazing ideas of their own." Ana had yet to tell Aaden about her company but that was only because it had never come up. She had nothing to hide. They had first been dragon slaying and than relaxing. She hadn't wanted to ramble on about her company when he was trying to show her his. "I'll take you there soon, cyar'ika." She turned to smile at her other half.

"Damn right," he replied to his brother and mimicking him took out a cigar and placed it in his mouth. A lighter would then lit the end of the cigar. Wherever Verne went Vilaz would go on and follow him. Perhaps a fight would spring out from the Munin boys.

"The hell the drinks at?!" He yelled once again, so he and his brother could get something to drink. No doubt that soon a fight would be coming to this wedding that might delay the "I do," part.

[member="Verne Munin"]

Folk had been waiting long enough. Or so the newly minted Rally Master figured at least. She did the final check on her appearance and the future Mrs. [member="Preliat Mantis"] came up to the door where on the other side would be the last wedding she'd ever have. The young widow fought with the urge to lick her lips and potentially spoil the cosmetics Baiko had supplied. Who would lead the girl to her wedding? Who would officiate the event?

Aditya put her faith on the one man in the galaxy she trusted above any but Preliat. [member="Akio Kahoshi"], previously thought dead Emperor of the Fringe-Conquered Atrisia. In true Atrisian style, five Ladies in Waiting, handpicked by Emperor Kahoshi from the Noble families accompanied Aditya into the hall. The Atrisians were dressed for style over warfare, the girls were delicate flowers in a lair of warriors and marauders. They kept their fans up past their mouths, chittering softly as they saw the brawling, drinking Mando'ade.

Drinks were poured extensively by droid servants and Atrisians with tea. Not many takers for the tea, but not many thought there would be. Ale flowed, whiskey from crates was cracked open and the conversations seemed to be going well. Aditya pursed her lips and took a deep breath. She waited for Akio's cue. Aditya spied Preliat and hid her grin behind her fan.

Yovshin Aditya Fitz-Kierke was moments from becoming the Yovshin Mantis.

@Eeerrybody.... yes I'm that lazy.

This was it. The Wolf took a last look in the mirror, before tucking one of the braids of his hair behind his ear. He looked...refreshed. Well slept. Well driven. Happy. Happy was a distant friend that he appreciated when they visited. But it seemed that the friend was less out of state and more out of town lately, especially with his [member="Aditya Mantis"] near him. He stood outside, and looked outwards, as [member="Strider Garon"] stood near the altar, and the emperor of Atrisia, who wasn't dead. But Preliat was no stranger to resurrected or death being faked or exaggerated.

He came forward, taking his place at the altar. His Beskar'gam never felt lighter, more in place than it was. His buy'ce rested on a table nearby, scarred, but it seemed to be smiling at him. [member="Vilaz Munin"] and his equally stupid brother, [member="Verne Munin"] were drunk and disorderly. [member="Anastasia Rade"] was about to launch out of her seat. [member="Adenn Gra'tua"] was talking, as he should. The man deserved to socialize. [member="Aaden Renolds"] was just being really stupidly handsome. [member="Zandra Tal'verda"] was doing her thing.

But before, before all that, Preliat heard a voice. [member="Calico Tal'verda"]'s voice, to be exact. It took him the same amount of restraint and poise that Calico was exerting to not grab the nearest person and hit him with them. Preliat blinked at him, before the thought passed and he nodded at Calico.

"Calico."

He turned away from Calico, but didn't hit him or berate him, so it was a step in the right direction for the two.

Preliat anxiously awaited for the officiator to begin the wedding.

Strider would look at the poor fool standing at the altar. A man that was volunteering for a life sentence with endless torture till the day death decides to pay him a mercy. Hope the boy was well informed of what marriage entails, once one says I do the sex ends and misery begins. The old man would slightly leaned in to the younger warrior.

"Last chance son!" He would inform "there are three viable exits to make your escape, I will lay down suppressive fire to cover you"

What else was the man going to say?

[member="Preliat Mantis"] [member="Aditya Mantis"]

A few moments after Adenn finished his sentence he realized what he'd just said, not that it would get him into much trouble, but that it was extremely suspicious, as the bounty hunter had basically said that he'd made a company just to make weapons for himself, something that was a stupid idea even though the man wasn't planning on doing anything similar to that "Oh, yes I do sell some weapons to the outside, and I'm planning on making more, but so far the most productive ones have been the personal items I made for myself." Adenn paused, taking in a breath "But seeing as that I have some big ideas I'm very hopefull for the business that I will get soon." the bounty hunter stopped for a moment, quickly coming up with a response for [member="Aaden Renolds"]' question "Oh, the name is pretty silly, and I probably could have came up with a better name but I didn't... It's Gra'tua Arms and Armor though."

As the rally master stopped speaking he looked around before locating Vilaz and Verne Munin, cringing as they spoke loudly and asked for drinks, wishing that the two idiots would shut up for a minute, but quickly the bounty hunter turned to [member="Preliat Mantis"], then looking towards [member="Strider Garon"], smiling as he heard them speaking to each other.

When it was time, the Emperor of Atrisia walked out to the prepared altar wearing his shogun armor minus the helmet, and any weapon except for the three swords mounted on the back. While many duties still required his attention at home, he had taken time from being ruler of a nation to officiate this wedding. Naturally there had been some political motive, Akio would much prefer seeing the Atrisians and Mandalorians as friends rather than enemies. That he could see to the happiness of a friend was a personal bonus he very much enjoyed.

Only recently had he returned from his self exile, having used the excuse of death as a means to train his new found abilities in secret. To Atrisians, Force users were a thing to be feared. An Emperor who was a Force user would be unthinkable, so even now that he returned from the dead the truth of his disappearance was a closely held state secret. Officially, the attack had merely left him near death, and some currently unnamed assailants had held him captive.

Stopping at the alter he made sure everything was set up correctly. A small jade statue rested next to him, a representation of heaven and earth. It was a part of the Atrisian wedding vows, and one that harkened back to ancient beliefs of his, and now Aditya's, planet. The five women accompanying the bride were all from families loyal to the throne, and their presence here brought their family honor. They also solidified Aditya's place among the Atrisian nobility, though the Mandalorians might not recognize that given their seemingly delicate nature.

Standing strait backed, the Emperor waited silently for the bride and groom to join before him for the ceremony.

[member="Akio Kahoshi"]

Atrisians. Suffice to say Siobhan did not like that particular nation much these days. What with them allying with the abortive Sith Axis that never got off ground but conspired to wipe out the Protectorate whilst she and Tegaea ruled, and Empress Madeline Kahoshi carrying out genocide to wipe out Atrisia's force-users after Akio got blown up by terrorists. Not to mention the hell the aforementioned Akio Kahoshi and Inquisitor Lai had put [member="Mirien Valdier"], her Force Bond sister, through whilst she served the Inquisition.

A group of force-users forced to serve the Atrisian State as their assassins and magical secret police under pain of death. Mirien had been their Grand Inquisitor, before being cast out and declared a traitor as a result of the Kahoshi's madness. Atrisia's hatred of force-users made it terribly ironic that way back when the CIS decided to drop Lucrehulks on the planet for no other reason than spite, it had been mages who averted disaster by chucking them into the mountains near the Imperial Palace, Siobhan Kerrigan being one of those that combined their powers in a force meld to save the planet.

She stood at the edge of proceedings, very much a peripheral actor. Mainly here because she was a friend to the Mandalorians, though not personally that familiar with the happy couple. Aditya she had briefly met on Schesa, Preliat she knew by reputation. Trouble was not something on her mind, she wished them well. After all, married life had been good for her! Besides, she had heard there would be cake. Her cane was still at her side, much to her annoyance, though she still carried herself with poise and control, likewise an element of haughtiness. Her dark brown mane was elegantly done up and she wore a magnificient blue and silver dress, with her lightsabre tied to an elegant belt, whilst her feet were tucked into a fine pair of heels.

Bionic eyes swept over the hall as she noticed the figure dressed in Shogun armour. Her jaw tightened at the sight as thoughts ran through her mind. Back in her day Sio had kept a good watch on Atrisia, along with Fringe, and she knew that was the armour Kahoshi had commissioned for himself. Unless it had been sold on the black market in the chaos after Madeline turned Atrisia into a totalitarian hellhole. Thought he was dead. Shame he isn't. Wonder what he was doing all the time after his failure forced his people under Fringe tyranny and Madeline's oppression. Wonder why anyone would want such an incompetent as emperor again after how he screwed up last time, she thought to herself scathingly. She remembered the failed invasion of Fondor quite well. At least Madeline did a better job at ruling.

However, there was something else she sensed and so she reached out with the Force. Contrary to popular belief, having space magic did not make you omniscient and Siobhan had never excelled at Force Sense, unlike say Mirien or the master empath Coryth. However, there was no mistaking in this case, and she sensed the Force emanating from him. Oh, so you're a forcer and it's OK for you to oppress all the others on Atrisia, treat Mirien like your personal slave, all the whilst yammering about restoring the 'glory' of an Empire founded by Sith for Sith and built on lies? How ironic. I wonder how you'd feel about being implanted with an X4-2 Biological Threat Containment System? She imagined Mirien would be...interested in learning about this. Presumably the Atrisian plebs did not know about it either. As these thoughts run through her mind, Siobhan took a sip from her glass of champagne, savouring the taste. A waitress came over with a tray and Siobhan helped herself to a piece of apple cake.

The finer points of the kark-ups of the Atrisian Empire were unknown to Atrisia's leading CEO. Aditya knew nothing about force users or upheavals beyond the dismal situation caused by Madeline Kahoshi in Akio's absence. She was merely an Epicanthix who stuck her nose in business on the death of her friend, the Emperor. As [member="Akio Kahoshi"] came forth in armour, Aditya smiled.

The man was trying to be as cognizant of the Mandalorian way as he could. It did Aditya well to see it. She saw [member="Strider Garon"] try and talk [member="Preliat Mantis"] out of the event and nearly waddled over to the sullen limp-spined Field Marshal with more bastards than bullets to give him a kick in the nads and a punch to his scruffy jaw.

It took courage to get married, courage Strider would never have.

Aditya took a final deep breath and the young widow walked to the altar with her Ladies in Waiting. The room's scant Atrisian contingent settled, Aditya took Preliat's hand and gave him one last smile. "Let's do this so we can let the Mando'ade get their drink on."

[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] got a glare from Preliat when the Wolf noticed that she was staring at the emperor. It was a look that told her that he wouldn't hesitate to bash her skull in in front of everyone and get back to his wedding- if she caused any trouble or if he found out any. Not that he was expecting any sort of commotion, after all, nobody wanted to be killed at a wedding, and he wasn't too keen on killing someone at his own wedding.

There was nothing say that he wouldn't, however.

[member="Akio Kahoshi"] showing up did little to deter Preliat, he had dealt all too frequently with various characters from all parts of the galaxy resurrecting or having their demise exaggerated. Akio was such an example. He had to admire the man's dress, however. The armor was exceptionally made and well formed, and fit him well. Finely crafted, and it looked practical as well.

His mind was snapped back to the event at hand, when his hand, free of it's armor, was touched by his wife-to-be, [member="Aditya Mantis"]. His brown eyes took in her entire form, smiling. Her beauty was immeasurable, to say the least. Preliat looked beyond her physical beauty, the level of grace and poise and intelligence only adding to what he considered to be the most beautiful, intelligent, and brave woman in the galaxy. He spoke quietly, only to her and to those around him. [member="Strider Garon"] be damned.

"They can wait, because I've waited all my life for you."

[member="Preliat Mantis"]

Siobhan looked completely unconcerned and indifferent when Preliat glared at and kept eating her cake, since it was very tasty. The champagne was to her liking as well. The Vice President of Firemane Industries had enough self-control not to cause a diplomatic incident. Or kill a wedding. She would have been annoyed if someone had killed hers.

In the span of the past few moments she had decided that she would like a kimono. The Atrisian ladies looked good in theirs. Perhaps she could buy one on amazon. Presumably something like that exists in this Galaxy. Yeah, at present Sio's mind was really focused on the relevant things in life. She wondered whether Mirien would like one as well.

'Ice' nodded to [member="Adenn Gra'tua"] in understanding. For even he made some weapon designs for his use only. Namely the best. The last thing 'Ice' wanted was to be outgunned by someone using his own designs. He gave a small chuckle at the mention of what Adenn's company was called. "I like it. Simple, easy to remember." He would have asked more had it not been for the start of the ceremony. An arm wrapped around Ana as he nodded for her to see the bride and her ladies in waiting come down the hall.

The bride to be looked lovely. As did the woman that followed her. He couldn't help be let slip a small sideward glance toward Ana as he pondered what she would look like on her wedding day. "Who knows...maybe even our wedding day? Probably way to early to be thinking about that." 'Ice' thought to himself. But the occasion couldn't help but make him curious. Trying to refocus, he turned toward the couple of the hour and looked on as the ceremony got under way.

[member="Aditya Mantis"] | [member="Preliat Mantis"] | [member="Akio Kahoshi"] | [member="Strider Garon"] | [member="Anastasia Rade"]

The bride was beautiful and seemed to glow as she walked down the hall. Her ladies in waiting were pretty as well. Love was such a beautiful thing and the concept was not lost on Ana. Even after everything she believed in love and happily ever after.

As a little girl she always dreamed that Prince Charming would come and take her away from all the evil monsters. Visions of a beautiful dress standing next to her knight danced in her head. Silly she knew but events such as today's made her believe dreams do come true.

Her arm snaked around his waist as she pulled Him closer to her as the ceremony began. Ana just hoped that this could conclude without any fighting for the couple's sake.

Cal dipped his head forward in silent respect toward [member="Preliat Mantis"].

Gods he hated that man, but it was his wedding, and he was proper Mando'ade, prior feuds notwithstanding. Preliat was going to have kids, kids that Corrin might have to deal with in the future. Better they start on a clean slate than a blood feud over something as pointless as a bit of racism--if hatred of clones could be considered racism.

The former Chieftain mentally shrugged at the thought, and only grunted as he turned about toward [member="Zandra Tal'verda"]. "Should come out after they say their vows. That's how this stuff works." He reached over to take the Echani by the hand, racial stigma be damned, and dragged her away from [member="Strider Garon"], the groom, and the other nutcases present.

They would pay their respects to the couple. Wish them well, offer some kind of friendship for the clan children, make nice.

Then the booze.

Zandra couldn't help but think he wedding was far superior here. Fluff and pomp didn't make for a strong marriage. She and Cal got married one night on a whim, in a tiny little cabin in the woods. Nothing fancy, nothing fake.
The Echani let out a little snort of disapproval.

"The sooner they bring the drinks out, the better. Gimmy my baby, Cal. Corrin needs his mumma."

[member="Calico Tal'verda"]
