Welcome to Kashyyyk

Kashyyyk; Jedi Temple
Midday
Kahlil was, for all intents and purposes, still a padawan of the Jedi Order. Being a Sith Knight didn't translate him into a the same rank with the Jedi after all. So when it was his turn to train someone else, it always came at a surprise. This was another of those days. The young man stood in one of the various training rooms, his hands clasped behind his back as he glanced around.

A Zeltron by the name of [member="Sky"] Vagod was the one he was going to train. The last Zeltron he met was years ago, and their trick to mess with the minds of others still made him feel uncomfortable. But, that woman was trying to mess with him specifically. A fellow padawan wouldn't, right?

Sky flew onto the planet, looking at all the forestry as she had her Interceptor descend, she glanced about, what a wonderful world it was. Well, till she hopped out, it was still nice. Bit too many bugs for her though. She wore rather loose clothing, a light armless shirt, brown pants, and boots, rather then any kind of Jedi garments. Though she did have her lightsaber, Patience, at her side. It was about the only thing Jedi about her.

She practically skipped inside, smiling at the planets temple as she hopped along, she was here for training, something she knew she desperately needed. She'd had some here and there, but was barely keeping up. She had some skill for healing and telepathy, but that was near useless for combat. She walked in eventually, glancing around till she found [member="Kahlil Zambrano"], she stepped forwards and waved, "Hiya! I'm Sky! I think you're who I'm supposed to meet right?" she asked cheerfully.

As much as she might have been able to, both due to her abilities as a Zeltron and having that boosted by the force, she had almost never bothered to use her gifts to screw with people. At least not intentionally. She was however quite prone to being easily influenced by the emotions of others.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Indeed. I"m Kahlil, and I'll be showing you a thing or two I guess." A nervous chuckle as he scratched the back of his head. The last time he trained someone was as a Sith, so there was a much for him to figure out as to show [member="Sky"] . Grant it, he wasn't even sure what he was going to show the padawan at this point. "Was there anything specifically you were looking to learn? I don't actually have an agenda, honestly."

She nodded her head towards him still smiling as he introduced himself. She could actually feel the nervousness, even if the visual and sound of the chuckle hadn't told her. It rather made her nervous as a result. She hummed as he mentioned asking what she was looking to learn and not having any set plan in mind. The Zeltron grimaced, twiddling with her hair, "Uh...I, don't really know. I kind of, don't know much at the moment. I really need to work on my swordsmanship, but I'm also extremely lacking in any kind of use of the force beyond like, telepathy slash empathy, and some healing. So yeah, blade-work or force powers? Like...I don't know, jumping, telekinesis, or maybe that thing that helps you hide that sounds really cool but I don't know who actually teaches that."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"The only people I know that could teach how to hide would never teach a Jedi." He laughed. Nervously. The Sith Assassins were always a bit of a panic spot for him. How long until they'd come after him again? Kahlil didn't know. But that wasn't the purpose of the day. "Telekinesis is something I can show you though. And since you already know how to do some things, at least the basics are covered. Come." He motioned his hand to the center of the room, where there were a couple of pillows set out. The young man took a seat on one, getting into a comfortable meditative position and waited for [member="Sky"] to do the same.

She hummed and cocked her head as he spoke of teachers who wouldn't teach Jedi, well, that was a piece of backstory she felt. But the topic changed quickly to Telekinesis and she smiled following along quickly and sitting down as he did, trying to breath in and calm herself, sliding a hand along the songster hilt of her weapon, not because it reminded her of violence, but because it reminded her to be Patient.

"Awesome, what now?" Sky asked with as little haste as she could manage, always ready to move forwards, and quite easily excited once they did.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Close your eyes. Relax. Feel the Force around you, breath it in." Kahlil did just that as he spoke, his body relaxing as his eyes shut close. The Force had truly become a close friend to the young man, and it showed as the air around him calmed. "Then, breath out. Calm, slow. Feel the room, the objects. The sphere between us. Focus on it. In your mind, picture it lifting up. Your mind and faith is where your power comes from." [member="Sky"]

Sky did as she was told, or at least tried to, she got the eyes closed part down, and breathing. She relaxed for a moment, then got excited, and had to force herself to calm down again as he explained, Breath the force in, breath it out. Let it flow, the objects, and then the sphere, focused. Ignore all else, just breath, and feel the sphere lifting, she focused, and for a moment it was moving, she got distracted it began to waver, but she got back on track. She had only ever really applied telekinesis once before, and that was to get her crystal which was a special case, aside from that, very little knowledge or experience.

Pay attention, She told herself, repeating the word Patience in her mind as she tried again, slowly, the sphere rising somewhat, wavering, and only somewhat, but rising nevertheless.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Don't try and trick yourself into a specific mindset. We all feel and commune with the Force differently. Relax and let it flow through you." He kept an even tone as he spoke to [member="Sky"] , though he did open an eye as he felt the rather unstable grip from the young woman. No two people were exactly the same after all. He'd continue with the guidance, offering words of encouragement throughout, always with a patient smile.

Relax was definitely easier said then done, she liked to be on the move, doing, acting, not sitting still. She liked to dance though, and sing, sometimes it helped her focus, but other times it just got her distracted. But, he did mention some people commune with the force differently, so she went ahead and in spite of feeling a bit awkward doing it, started humming.

Trying to make the sphere move in line with the ball, rather then just raise it, it was about focus right, not just power, and at least she could focus on this. It moved somewhat, a little smoother, bobbing side to side in tune with her humming as she smiled both nervously and for the sake of the humming, it wasn't easy to avoid getting distracted by doing this, she'd gotten lost before while dancing to try and pay attention to the forces call. But at least right now it was going well.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"There you go. See? Just a matter of figuring out who you are, and what the Force is to you. Music seems to be the core." Kahlil let out a small sigh. Mostly out of relief. He had been worried he wouldn't be able to train [member="Sky"] effectively, but this was already heading into a better direction. "For now, do what you feel would be easiest. Don't feel confined to sitting and meditating. Expand your mind, feel more, and see what else you can manipulate and lift."

She smiled at the approval she got for finding her way of making it work, it slowed down as she opened her eyes when he said to not feel confined to the sitting of meditation, but to expand. "So I can...stand up?" It really was a question she should have answered herself already but she was so prone to just doing as she was told she hadn't really thought of it. She pushed herself to her feet and looked around the room for a moment, then shut her eyes,

So she decided to Dance with it, it was a smooth dance, passing around the room in a bit of a circle, every movement leading into the next step like it flowed. Like she was flowing through water instead of air. And as she did singing softly just another one of the songs that went along with it, letting her eyes flutter open enough to choose something, a pillow, that started to also move. It really wasn't the most efficient method, dancing around a room, and causing a pillow to just start to move along with her. Not the same speed as her, but with the same stream like smoothness. It wasn't easy to apply, but it was easier for her to learn.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Do what ever feels natural. We can work on making it less demanding on your mind so you don't have to be dancing, but it's best to start where you're most comfortable." Kahlil smiled, if only to keep from laughing. It was oddly enchanting to see someone dance to use the Force. He certainly hadn't thought of that before. Still, it seemed to work better for [member="Sky"] as she clearly was able to pick up on the skill he was trying to teach.

"Lift more. As many as you can throughout the room. Let your mind expand."

She nodded her head, but kept in beat as he mentioned doing what makes her comfortable. Dancing was indeed what made her comfortable. And maybe one day, she could work out some better techniques. But for now, it seemed this was a good way. He said to move more, she glanced her eyes about the room in thought, breathing in and out as she went smoothly and gracefully around the room.

Another pillow rose, spinning around her legs as she went and off an arm to join them in their dance, and another two together in a whirling pattern around her, it was becoming a little more difficult, as while she was rather focused now, there were many more things to focus on then just her body. She was finding herself moving more and more quickly though, as a few more pillows rose, circulating the room in a sort of twirling and rise and falling pattern. And sometimes intercepting over and under each other or around when she would slip through the middle of the room.

A smile across her face, what joy it was to use the force when dancing. How calm and pleasant, a union that was so much easier then the combative and practical aspects she expected.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Good, good!" Kahlil had started to tap his foot to the imaginary beat [member="Sky"] was dancing to, a grin on his face. It was fun to watch her do that, and it certainly was a different way to learn compared to the way the Sith had taught him. He quickly pushed that thought back though, to avoid any negative feelings. "Now, stop dancing. Remember this feeling. And with the memory of that feeling alone, lift the objects." One step at a time. And this was the first.

Sky heard him say to stop dancing, she tried, but as she did, she felt two of the pillows falter, so she only slowed. She slowed, her face straining a bit more at a time, another pillow fell, but she was at barely slower then a walking pace now, her breathing slowed, and the pillows remaining were still dancing around the room, even if at a reduced pace.

She tried to sit down, but all the pillows began to lower with her, she stopped, letting them continue, letting herself get accustomed to them whirling without her, and sat down. Her breathing was deep as she tried to focus, to pretend in her mind, that she was dancing among them. And that the pillows dancing was just a part of her as much as she herself doing it was.
