APPEARANCE:
Although an average height, Werucross has a looming eyestalk that is the center of its expression. Frequently blinking and moving, its head is used expressively in conversation. Its glossy brown skin is average for its species, and even though for the outsider he may seem interesting, to an Ithorian not much about him stands out. Maybe his hands, which are a bit bigger than usual. Stubby toes and long fingers are the Ithorian norms and he's no different in that respect, though his thick legs look in good shape, as he spends a lot of time walking.
Early Biography:
Weru was raised on Alee in an Ithorian farming community. Descended from the herdship Green-Warren, which still exists in some form today. This was Hutt space but remote enough as a world, and as a community that their farming community were not bothered by all but very rare Hutt envoys. A slow considerate lifestyle was what defined Weru from a young age. Like many of his race, he loved farming, and sort a natural environmental balance. Mother jungle is worshiped by most Ithorians, his family worshiped sister jungle, an offshoot religion that is recognized but not officially practiced. Sister Jungle seeks kinship with the jungle rather than reverence for it, meaning a more direct natural lifestyle is adopted. There isn't a huge amount of difference but it does make for long religious discussion between more theocratic iIhorians, something Weru can happily indulge in but doesn't seek out.
An avid conversationalist, many cultures consider Ithorians dull, but that isn't the case when you are interested in environmentalism, farming, or general ecology study! Just don't ask him about weather patterns or fungi anytime soon, you may get a lecture five hours long.
Working as a farming apprentice, something that is a highly respected position among the Ithorians for the skill required, Weru felt a lot of pressure to live up to his communities expectations. His respect for the balance of nature vs environment can't be stated highly enough, as most farming types or operations can damage the natural flora or fauna's local balance far too easily, to mention nothing of caring for soil!
It was during one such mission that Weru met the Jedi Master Kei Amadis but that is another story.
