Waiting in the sky

OOC: For LAA Students and anyone who has a reason to be on Oswaft Station to enter a Starfighter simulator. We’re not recruiting the students or brain washing anyone. This is an exercise for all fighter pilot characters, or shuttle pilots.
Lets have fun with it.
If your character is part of the exploration group, you’re on a Forerunner.
If your character profile link is an even number, you’re on the Imperial team
If your character profile link is an odd number, you’re on the Republic team.

Jared Starchaser was many things. One of them was a Wing commander, the other? Well, he was part of a pairing with a very lovely, if at times, terrifying pilot and Force user. He was a former Imperial Knight, and he was a member of the Fringe Federation and at one time the Commander of the Air Group for one of the battle groups. He was a solider. Unlike his sister who was running all over the galaxy doing… whatever it was she was doing… shuttle pilot? Transport? And unlike his father, who seemed to have a lot of this life thing under control, Jared did what he was ordered to do.
Be it from Lia, or the Levantine Defense fleet, he did what was asked. And he did it well.
Superlative efficiency and ease. That was what he felt behind the controls of a TIE model, and he was learning some of the Republic craft as well.
His father was the treasure hunter, his sister was the one who wanted to help everyone, and Jared was the solider. What he was not, was a teacher. He was not an instructor.
But he was a soldier, he was a pilot. And his father needed someone to cover the classes. And to Jared? That meant preparing them for changing situations. The class was all about exploration, first response and how to work on your feet to changing situations as you ‘fit in’ to a new scenario. That was perfect. Jared was going to have fun with that.

So what he did do, was make an announcement to anyone who was in naval combat 101, or going for their Starfighter Certification to check in for some sim time. He had an idea, and he was hoping it’d take off. Who knew, right? Worst that could happen was he slagged some newbies and they learned a thing about being a fighter pilot. Anyhow, the scenario was set.
Pilots would be in two teams. Some would be flying fighters they weren’t familiar with, others would be flying fighters they were. Some would be attacking enemies that were friends, and some of your wingmen would be people who didn’t get along with you. And then there were the people from the class he was substituting in. They were flying the shuttle, well, working aboard a Forerunner-class frigate, one of Silk’s newest offerings for exploration. They’d be doing their best to make it through a situation where two fleets showed up, with gravity wells, and were at each others throats.
The trick? For the pilots, all this would be logged, achievements doled out, and no one would know who was who. It was an exercise in team building, and getting someone’s personal flight and combat situation established. He himself? He was in a TIE Flashpoint. But he wasn't giving the orders, he was hanging back and waiting to find the biggest target, and he was going to pick them off.
