What?! A child!

A woman within dark robes was at the night around 5 AM on the planet called Exocron. The sun was almost going to shine, it's great light over the planet. The planet was a huge forest with high mountains and temples seen from miles away. The temples were from the gods, they believed in. It was the planet of the faction called Moross Crusade. The Moross Crusade was known for their many type of religions. They did not believe in only one god, they had far more than that. All having a different kind of alignment which allowed, their people to live in peace. This was exactly why the woman had picked this planet for her offering or rather for the thing, she had to lose, she had to give away and never had to look back at.

The woman within the dark robes had the hold of a child within her hands. This child had even within the dark the most marvelous kind of eyes. They shined in the dark showing a golden color. The child was a baby girl off only five months. She couldn't take care of her child no more. The reason for that was the huge difference between the two of them. The baby girl was a half breed. Nobody knew if she was immortal in age or an average mortal? Was she an actual energy sucker or did her half breed, change that type of her DNA. Her mother had already figured it out. In the meantime, she was sneaking through the forest of Exocron heading over towards the mansion of one of the more wealthy people of the Moross Crusade. Her mother wanted her child to have a better time.

While they were going through the forest a faint sense of force sensitives were going through the area. Serena's mother was not a trained powerful force sensitive. She took energy to survive and nothing else. The baby girl was still a baby, which was the reason why her force sensitivity was still very low. They were getting closer and closer towards the gate of the house where her mother placed her child in front of the gates onto the path. Her baby was wrapped up within three blankets in a plastic box, all blankets looked pretty old with the one of the top having a light tint of pink. She had under all those blankets a set of different clothes with the same light pink color. She had an old unfilled teddy bear next to her body squeezed in.

Her mother bend her knees and kissed her baby girl a kiss on the cheek lightly. She placed an old piece of paper with the name of the child on the blanket. She sat aside her baby girl till the time was near for the sun to rise. From afar she was able to hear people coming her way towards the gates of the huge mansion. She kissed her child's cheek once again ringing the bell and she ran off back within the woods, back into the darkness of the forest.

The bell on that gate was broken, even though it was the only way onto the estate. One of the security droids hovered along the high wall watching the figure and sent an alert to a nearby servant that something had been dropped there to find. Before long someone came, picking up the bundle and looking around with concern before hurrying towards the house.

The lord of the manner, one Serian Corsair Loria, wasn’t anywhere in the house at all, he was in the back in his studio painting. He wasn’t aware that one of his servants had found a baby at his door or that the rest of his staff were fussing over it. The only thing that changed from the ordinary is the knock on the door, normally they knew to leave him alone. He sensed urgency from the older man, but also from the house when he extended his Senses, not to mention another point of light, someone was at the house.

He opened the door and looked at the man.

I’m sorry master, but...one of the droids reported something at the gate, when my daughter went to look...she’d found a baby.

He looked past the man towards the house his lit ruby gaze narrowed. I’ve not even touched a woman, let alone gotten close enough to get her with child so I know its not mine. Who in their right mind would leave their child here when there is public facilities within the city for that?

He ran a hand through his hair with a sigh “Don’t worry Endron, I’ll take care of it, I have to go into the city soon anyways so for now the child will stay with us. Go gather what we’ll need, I certainly doubt the house has anything for an infant. I will rely on your experience…

The old man grinned laughing Oh, aye, I know what to do, leave it to me.

The older man, his daughter and her husband were his servants and if anyone knew what the needs a baby had in this new age, it was him. He followed the man at a walk as the oldster bustled off to go into town, the ruby eyed archivist however went into the living room. He spied the basket and gently, he knew how to hold a child just not everything else, cradled her. What possesed someone to drop this small child at my door, certainly there are other estates one could have chosen. Its too late now to go looking, odds are whoever it was is long gone, perhaps the droids saw who it was.

He’d be lying if he denied the fact that he wanted a family of his own. There was that part of him that reared up and wanted to keep this small infant, a part of him he thought long dead. He’d been left alone and he’d hardly noticed, his attention was on the small gift that had been abandoned. It made him angry, but there were far worse possibilities than him as the protector of this child, even if it might be temporary. He didn’t know what the laws were regarding foundlings, but he knew someone who might and he’d question her when he returned to the temple. He’d spend the next few days deciding on the repercussions and benefits, this wasn’t something he wanted to accept without thought.

He knew [member="Crystal"] might be the best, available, person he could call upon. He didn’t know if she’d been a mother herself, he’d never had reason to inquire, but now? It couldn’t hurt to ask. She’d offered to help him, he just never thought that this was what would prompt him to ask for it. He laid the child out on the floor with a toy near at hand on a blanket then started to search her things for anything that might lend him some sort of identification. He could choose a name of course, how hard could it be? However if she was already named it might help him in the search for her parents.

Serena was picked up by one of the servants while the sun was coming up and it lightly woke up the young baby child. She was fed beforehand with the energy of her mother. She quietly kept her eyes open, her arms rising within the air. She made adorable smiles and giggles coming from her mouth.

Her beautiful creepy golden colored eyes were no longer lighten up within the darkness, it was now the sunshine which was coming shining within her eyes. She was brought within the house for a moment without getting attention. She heard voices, but she was not old enough to understand anything of it. When she saw a shadow hovering over the basket and spying into the cradle. Her hand was rose up within the air and she tried to go towards his eyes. There was no danger within her action. She basically wanted to feel the man his face's and play with it. She was lifted up from her basket and being softly cradled from left to right.

When she was being cradled, she calmly lied within his arms and she cutely said, "Gaawaa...goo guwaa", were they suppose to be words, not at all. Her hands went onto her face rubbing up and down her own cheeks as she extended her left hand only this moment of time. She would touch the cheek of the man and suddenly the man would see a vision of the girl drinking milk. She was an energy vampire and they were able to telepathic fluently communicate. She was hungry, but not in energy this time.

She was laid on the ground and she just kept on laying there for the time being. She did not play with the toy for around a few seconds. She rolled herself from her back to her tummy grabbing the toy and she started to speak to it, "Gaawaa gaawaa gaa~", when Serian was looking through her stuff, he would find a piece of paper with her name, but when they would look up for her family, there would be no information. Her father figure was dead.

The brief mindtouch and the name on the card simply brought into mind that perhaps the reason she was abandoned was because she had force powers. He certainly didn’t see her as anything other than human, her eyes suggested possibly near-human. As a small child his eyes had been the ruby lit by candlelight color, the strangeness of her on small gaze didn’t unnerve him at all. His mother had tried to kill him and herself in childbirth merely to spite his father, she’d died and he’d lived. His sire only saw him as some sort of demon, but her eyes just brought to home that a display of power might not be the only reason. Unfortunately there was no milk to be had, though he didn’t think the kind in the fridge was what he could give her.

The mention of animal milk just didn’t ring right, but what did he know? Better to wait for his servant than potentially harm the child by such. He watched her for a moment as she babbled at the toy, would keeping her really be a bad thing?

Serian stood at a lithe six foot and one hundred and ninety pounds. His ink black hair was short in the back, but his bangs fell to just past his eyes. He was wearing simply a long sleeved grey shirt and faded dark jeans, both showing small dried paint droplets. The sun’s rise made the whole room glow softly, the floors were light wood polished to shine. There were thick soft rugs all over, the couches soft supple leather and wood with soft pillows and cushions. There was a large television, but everything else was open. On one wall was a shelf holding mostly books, but some vids, all out of reach.

He scooped up the child again and gently sat down so he could lean back and hold her, his lit ruby gaze studying her. He didn’t say anything, just watched her, the toy drifting from the ground to soon be plucked from the air by his hand, just within her reach.

While the sun shined within her room, she did not look for very long within the light, but the moment she did her golden eyes were shining instead of lightening up while being within the darkness. She looked into the light wood polished floor and saw somewhat something that looked like HER?! She quickly turned away crawling a bit further and once again in the ground she was able to see the shadow of her reflection. She kept on crawling around the living room till she came near Serian.

She was being held within the hands of the man, her eyes surprised looked down into his eyes. It soon left his gaze and over towards her toy. Her hands were extending towards her toy as she made the baby mumbling noises, "Huh...huhuhuh!!", soon her toy drifted from the ground and went into her hands. She giggled adorably and shook her toy, she pulled onto it and suddenly threw it forward once again.

He smiled, very few people ever saw tenderness from him, but the child got it. Animals and babies, one could always trust them for they didn’t know how to lie or hurt without reason. When the toy dropped, it floated in the air again and soon the child with it, floating above his head gently. He wasn’t worried about his servants walking in and seeing him use his Power, they knew what he was and knew wisely to keep his secrets. His sole focus at the moment was on the child and his thoughts were filled with his worries.

It was impossible to get any answers, the only one who knew them was the one who left the child. Above all was that he wondered, why him? He supposed someone could have sensed what he was, he didn’t hide much within his home. You couldn’t see the house from the gate, his security was tight, still he could still be Sensed he supposed. Hadn’t the child touched his mind implying with a picture she wanted food? However if she was Gifted, even while being young, why abandon her? He could understand if this world was one who despised Force users, but Exocron was the seat of the Crusade, his kind were happily accepted.

It made no sense. Even those who weren’t human were accepted, so the child possibly being near-human was hardly considered a fault. No, there was something else and it was either because she was abandoned due to family or perhaps because care was difficult, though it didn’t explain why she wasn’t left at a government facility. Was his wealth the reason? He wasn’t the only one in this part that had money, hell his home was incredibly modest compared to many homes around him. He’d chosen the smallest, the most isolated, one had to pass to the back of all the allotted land just to get to his estate. It did seem plausible even if it was a gigantic risk.

He knew one thing, he’d never be able to do such a thing himself. If he had a child of his own blood, he’d never be able to deny it let alone allow it to be abandoned. He also realized that he wasn’t going to give this child up, someone saw fit to leave her with him and that was her only chance to ever discover who her real family was. Surely he had the means to find answers and if her parents came looking? His first thought was that he’d throttle them, but that was his temper talking. It would mean answers that this small child may wish to have someday. He looked over at the coffee table, his com lifting from where it rest, he then called [member="Crystal"] .

He did think of Loxa, Inari’s priestess, but he didn’t want to disturb her or the woman she served, not just yet. As he heard the ring he winced slightly, it was barely after sunrise, he should have waited...

The Communicator was rudely interrupting her meditation. The Princess was curious as to whom was contacting her at such an hour. But, it’s not like she was sleeping or anything so she couldn’t be too irritated. Yet.

She answered it with audio only. “Crystal here.”

And then she waited for the caller to speak and explain the reason for calling before the sun had even had time to cast its light on the land. The Priestess had a fair idea of who was not calling, because this was not their preferred methods of communications. However, it could be a great many people. Her curiosity was peaked.

When she threw her toy away, it were matter of seconds before it levitated back to her by the use of the force from her father figure. She was also levitating within the air, just above Serian. Her body was kept steady otherwise she would've been rolling and rolling within the air. She had her toy within her hand and started to observe it with her baby eyes. She had a hold of it within her hands and she turned it around, before shaking it once again. She had sticked her toy in her mouth. Babies usually learned by putting things in their mouth and playing with it. She showed no fear levitating within the air, she actually found it funny. She cutely giggled and her eyes showed a shine of happiness.

She tried to throw her toy once again, but it kept on levitating in front of her. This was because all energy vampires, were force sensitive and the more energy, she leached while getting older, the more benefit it had for her. The Energy Vampires did not communicate by words, but by telepathic communications. It meant for her, she communicated through pictures. The pictures of part of her memory, where she would get for example, her milk to drink. It was only by Serian to find out that she is an Energy Vampire. Would she even have her fangs?

Whenever the girl opened her mouth and giggled no teeth at all were shown nor fangs. She was not ready to eat solid foods. She had extended her right arm and she opened her small soft hand. Her hand was trying to grab something near his face? "Uh..uhuh uh!~" It basically meant she had wanted attention and was struggling to grab the thing she wanted to grab. The comlink was closer to her when Serian tried to call [member="Crystal"] and it was once again Serena's idea to try to grab the comlink phone.

When the child reached for him making sounds he set her gently in his lap, then gave her his hand to play with instead of his Com. When he heard [member="Crystal"] ‘s voice he was glad to hear he hadn’t woken her. “I apologize for the unholy hour that I called at, but...I have a bit of a situation at my home and I sought you first to help me. It seems someone left a small child at my gate and I’d like to discuss her options, before I commit to my decision. There is more, but I’d prefer to talk in private… And no, before you ask the babe is not mine.

There was a hint of a laugh in his voice when he made it clear she wasn’t his, the joke was the amount of years since he’d last had such company. She knew the frame of time he’d slept, so she might get why it was funny, but then again she might not. Hooking his Com to his ear he used his other hand to stroke her hair, smiling down at her. He heard sounds from the back and the murmur of voices, his servant returning with supplies for the child, good. The sounds in the kitchen confirmed this, it wouldn’t be long before the child had that bottle she’d pictured in his mind.

The children he’d have would at most get his dark hair and or his eye color. That much he knew of his mother’s family, his grandfather’s bloodline carried this trait. This of course was most common with the males of the bloodline, but the females could get it too. The child was a red head and, though her eye color was similar, it just wasn’t red enough. No one would mistake her as his child, but that didn’t change the fact he would care for her. He wasn’t worried about legal tape, if need be he’d bribe, threaten and Persuade as needed to get it done. He didn’t think it would have to go that far, things weren’t like how he was used to. Likely all he’d need was permission from one of the Aesirs, he’d have to see if Loxa could get him an audience with Inari.

That would have to wait, he’d see what Crystal said first.

Crystal raised an eyebrow. “A situation,” she repeated, ignoring his apology. Before inquiring, she waited for him to explain himself. A child. Her options. A decision. It sounded like he had already made up his mind and was looking for assistance with carrying out his decision. The Sith didn’t say any of that however, and merely chuckled. “Well doesn’t that make for an interesting morning. I will be there shortly.” And she closed the comm link.

She dressed herself in something less conspicuous than the robes of Hali’s followers, and not cloaked either. Crystal was dressed as an upper class woman of Tapani would dress. And, she didn’t get a speck of dirt on her on the run over. Sure, she could have taken a speeder, but then how would she get any exercise.

It was probably twenty minutes after disconnecting the transmission that she showed up at the his home. She’d jumped the gate and knocked before pushing a stray hair out of her face and behind her ear.

The baby was focused on her own toy, but the thing that had yet to be forgotten was that she was hungry. She played with the toy for some period of time while the two of them were talking on the comlink. She was baby babbling into the comlink, "Gaawwaaa waaa awaa!" Most likely [member="Crystal"] would have heard her through the phone.

She was trying to throw her toy, but it mysteriously came back by the force used by her new parent. She giggled and it would only take time till the woman would actually appear in front of the door.

When he got off his Com the bottle was brought to them and he promptly offered it to the child. “We’ll be having a guest arrive soon.

The older man just gave a nod and left leaving them alone again. Before long she arrived and he stood up with Serena waiting for [member="Crystal"] to come into the room.

Crystal was let in by a servant, and shown to the room where Serian awaited her with a small child. An infant in fact. Her eyes narrowed. The child’s presence was unusual. There was certainly something different about this child.

“Good morning. Who’s your friend?” The Sith Princess inquired. Her tone did not convey the disgust she had for whomever it was that had abandoned this child.

When the woman Crystal entered inside the room, the young Serena was cheerfully sucking on her bottle. She calmly lied on the stomach of Serian and was drinking her baby bottle. The milk left the bottle quite quickly as she had seemed to be quite hungry after that her eyes were focused onto the Sith Princess for the moment, the baby had heard her voice and threw her bottle not far away at all. She attempted to crawl off the stomach of [member="Serian Loria"] and straight over towards @Crystal. She would stop at a distance and started to blaber like a baby normally would, "Gahahha~ Gagagoo!" Her voice was adorable as all babies, while her golden colored eyes kept on being focused towards the womans eyes.

[member="Serena Constatine"]

Crystal watched the child attempt to get off Serian’s front side, and lifted her with the Force so that she didn’t fall to the ground. The child was cute. But what the Sith Princess did not find cute were the cries of babies. She remembered them all too well from when her children had been babies over four hundred years ago. They were long dead now, but the cries were still there in her memories.

The child was levitated toward her, and raised to eye level. She wasn’t entirely sure that she wanted to touch the child yet, but she could at least examine the infant and touch her with the Force to try and determine what was different about her.

He casually walked over and plucked the child from the air his lit ruby gaze flickering with protective ire. “Take a seat anywhere you desire my lady. I suspect the child isn’t fully human or human at all, she also has basic mindspeech though its only emotion and pictures. I’ve never known such a small child to have force talents.

He sat back down cradling the child as an elderly man walked in carrying a tray. Upon the tray were a tea pot, cups, a new filled bottle and a couple sandwiches. Serian gave the man a nod and the servant bowed slightly and left. “What would the child face if I were to put her care in the hands of the Crusade’s government? Is claiming her enough or is there a convoluted series of steps before I can legally claim her?

[member="Crystal"] would get the sense from him that his sudden turn to business was more a chance to reign in his temper. As much as he appreciated her assistance in regards to the child’s sudden interest in her, he could have caught her himself. The fact she’d used her power riled him some. The child was under his protection, Crystal herself was still largely unknown to him so he’d instinctively saw her actions as hostile even though as soon as he did he saw they were not. “I’m not used to having allies, I’m used to fighting for everything and seeing every act as first a threat, even now. So I apologize, old instincts are hard to retrain.

He’d been within the Crusade less than a year, even before that he hadn’t been with the CIS long enough to build trust. He picked up the new bottle and handed it to the babe watching her. The sense she might get from his mind was that he hadn’t intended to give her that much information, but that right that moment he didn’t think she would make herself his enemy. A train of thought that eventually went away as his focus had shifted.

It was a common thing to see in one who was Sith trained, especially back in his original era. He’d told her some of it, that he’d been in stasis eight hundred and ten years, but hadn’t told her everything. Whether he had intended to or not, his actions alone had said the same as his words.

Crystal took an offered seat and crossed her legs. As she settled herself into her seat, she listened to Serian. She had already figured that the child wasn’t human, but that was about the extent of her findings since it had been a minute or two. The child could communicate telepathically, well that would be helpful for those that could understand the communications. It wasn’t the first time she’d met a child that could communicate in such a manner, but it had been a very long time.

She waited until he’d finished speaking his mind before addressing each of the thoughts presented to her. “You are correct, this child is not human. She can communicate telepathically which is more than possible when carried by a mother with similar abilities. That would lead me to believe that at least one of this child’s parents is a Force user.” Other than that observation, she would make no other reference to the child’s parents. It was not her concern, and she wouldn’t make it so.

“As for legality, I’m not familiar with the policies in place. It is not something that I’ve had to investigate in all of my days. However, given that the child was left here, I would imagine you would be considered her guardian at least in interim.”

Crystal was not bothered by his wish to get down to business. She was more than used to being direct and to the point with many that she associated with. And she was not so easily offended. “Your apology is not necessary.”

Without hesitation, she helped herself to a cup of tea and sipped at it, clearly not bothered by his behaviour, or the presence of the child.

Serena was crawling over towards the ground towards Crystal to try to make a sort of baby like conversation, instead when she wanted to come near her it was that she was levitating within the air. Her body was rolling around as she did not have the balance by herself to remain straight. She made many movements which made her actually move in those movements at her spot. The young girl was far too young to understand any kind of thing of the force and was highly interested into her flying once again. This time it was done by Crystal and not Serian, but a moment later she got taken from the air into the protective hands of Serian.

Serena looked up towards his face as she was being carried in his arms and when he sat down, she was being cradled. She yawned as her golden colored eye opened and closed. She grabbed a hold onto the shirt of the man her body, moving little bits slowly shoving herself closer and closer towards the male Sith Lord. "Yawaa gaa waa waa doo~" She spoke in baby talk before raising up one hand that was going for the the chin of Serian. What her intentions were yet unknown! Most likely playing though, since she loved playing!~
