Anyone who remembers my other operator
Aien Mueller no doubt remembers Omega Squad. Well, on a couple of rp posts so far I have written that they have all went their separate ways, mostly into retirement. In somewhat of the spirit of
Valery Noble
's flashback idea, I was thinking something more feasible.
All but Bren were KIA. I was wondering if anyone out there would want to be a part of him trying to find out who? It's going to be dirty, and underhanded and I am not looking for a happy ending or things being tied up in a neat little bow. This isn't even in the planning stages, but I am looking at who might want to have some fun and maybe even be responsible for those deaths... going all the way back to the rescue of one Nida Perl
This could be interesting but who I might use could depend on what exactly you want as partners trying to help out and what their roles would be.
Like, for instance, I have
Val the powermind: One character, multiple hosts. It's a droid mind technically that has, at present, a cybernetic mutant quarren. And a human sorceres. Literally just fascinated by its new accessed hosts. But assisting in an investigation could work out. Val (in either form) isn't gonna be particularly caring about how the investigation effects Bren, mostly just interested. You would have to choose which host though. Val does keep their 'personalities' different and in different place to try and maintain the perception they are not in fact one person. But either might be persuaded to assist Evelyn Frost (the sorceress) just be being cryptic and Ruk (the quarren) probably would need promise of some kind of compensation. Ruk would be more blatantly cold about things. Frost may hide things. In theory either one of the hosts might have been responsible but it's somewhat iffy and depends on the timeline. I do need to age up the AI's creation date but even if I do it's probably only like 3 years.
Worrarg could work too as he's just flat out curious. He won't fit easy and has no ship of his own, but the enhanced senses and predatory nature could assist in tracking things down. You probably want to look at the bio itself before deciding though. It's not super likely he was responsable unless they attacked him. In which case, if he was able to kill them, he wouldn't have felt that bad about it.
One that could work for possibly both the search and the killing, is actually this one. Salis up until 2022 was very much dark side, and very much violent. She's light sided now, trying to be anyway. It's entirely possible she killed them or assassinated them at some point, for solely the reason of someone paid her too or she thought the fight would be fun. Usually if she was going to do that sort of thing outside the law she'd be pretty well disguised, but if she could prompt them into a fight she wouldn't. It wouldn't be outside the realm she nearly forgot about doing it and just...slowly came to the realization. If they were enemies of the zweihander union at some point though, that also works. She used to work with them as a major.
I do have more that can go on the investigative side. But some would likely lean more towards the light hearted (like a jedi), others would almost certainly require pay or something. I also have plenty that could be on the murder side, Rocho Krul who (aside from Salis) is my most used character. A trandoshan bounty hunter/merc trained in the force. Just...have there have been a bounty on them or that they tried to stop one. He's not as powerful as Salis but he's one of the upper tier characters I have threat wise.
I also have
Victoria Cross who I may consider using again (exceedingly unlikely she killed them directly but could be involved in the right conditions) or
Vash Walker (he's insane. Reason could be as simple as he wanted more test subjects. Can always use more of those.)
