Peace.

Ever since their reunion, Arekk felt right at home with Tava just like he did with Jyn before her life was taken away. They had so many dreams to accomplish.

By now she's been dead longer than he knew her.

The insanity that comes with losing the life you had just built. Jyn.. Arekk missed her with every part of his being. He hated the world for not killing him with her, and hated himself for allowing this to happen to her, and their little girl. But now... Everything changed for good at last.

No more comparisons, no more seeing Jyn in anybody's face. Tava had always been there for him as he had from a very young age, taking care of each other to survive the harsh life of the underworld. Love brought them together after all these years, destiny even, maybe the Force too and he held on to that belief.

For the first time in so many years, Arekk did not feel alone anymore but loved and fulfilled. The woman that was peacefully sleeping in the bed beside him picked up the broken pieces of his heart and put them back together to finally take care of it herself, there wasn't anything else he could ever hope or ask for.
