What do you want to see from the Galactic Alliance?

So we're pretty honest that we want a fun, relaxed faction and that we want this to become the largest and most powerful lightside force in the Galaxy. We want to keep this free for players to make new groups within the faction, and drive new storylines

We've only been here a few days and the ball is rolling pretty quickly. I'd like to hear what you want to see from the faction.

This can be around the organisation of our forums, to the kinds of stories you want us to embark on.

Just a few thoughts bubbling up in my head:

I’d personally like to see the faction to be heavy on action (epic lightsaber battles and dogfights, exploration threads, spies and shadows) and light on bureaucracy. I’d like to see our emphasis be placed on what our characters can do to help the galaxy’s weak and oppressed, and have the GA work to give their planets back to their people for them to govern.

Additionally, I’d like to see any acts of aggression be completely story driven. Hey, we all love a good skirmish, but let’s make sure that our reasons always circle back to our faction’s goals. If we make aggressive moves to say, start a rebellion on an occupied planet, I’d like us to be 100% sure we are going in and helping the people empower themselves, not just doing a drive-by bombing.

Also I think it’s important to remember that we can try to be as accommodating as possible to help everyone feel like this is their home, but at the end of the day, the faction isn’t going to please all of its members 100%.

I would love to see more NFU's kicking butt and taking names. I would love to see more NFU's creating threads, training, joint op missions, anything really!

I want our NFU's to shine, to really be out there and be part of the fray. I want to see starfighter squadrons, scientists working on research for the better, professors and civilian population being a key part of this too.

It isn't just about the forcers with glow sticks.

I want it to be inclusive, and continue the open door policy. I know right now we are small, and perhaps some ideas would be best when we go major in a month, but keeping the whole -- if you have an idea for a thread and as long as it runs along the guidelines of what seems right with the faction, go for it. Post it.


I'd like to also perhaps focus on highlighting the support roles in the faction. Healers, doctors, slicers, etc.

These are roles that are very vital to any interaction.

Also, I love the fact we have a PVE bad guy to be able to interact with. More of this please. I know everyone loves to have a PC or Faction element, but the PVE storyline is something that we as a faction can continue to grow on and interact with.

So definitely the PVE bad guy aspects for campaigns and such.

One thing I hope to deliver on is the huge focus of NFUs and related combat, while i know its hypocritical that i write a Forcer, I want that grungy feel of characters running in using second hand weapons, stolen gear, dirty... under dog feeling. And NFUs are a huge part of that. With our PvE enemy being Sith run and our potential and hopeful (when we hit major) PVP enemy being the One Sith, taking them down by being spear-headed by NFUs and supported by non-Jedi FUs makes it feel that much more epic and awesome.

One thing I'm dead set against is ROLFStomping people doing stories on our worlds (when we have them).

The Galaxy is a big place, and the worlds of Star Wars are a massive variety of interesting places to roleplay. If people want to do stories on our worlds, they should be free to.

If they start to bother our infrastructure, or give cause for our military/police to consider taking notice, that is one thing. Aside from that, laissez-faire.
