What is a Dev thread?

There is no difference between a development thread and any other thread other than it must have 2 or more writers and have something to do with what you're developing, be it a Ship or a piece of Technology. You can use dominions, invasions, public threads, faction threads, private threads or one which is specifically made for the development of the product. [member="CaptainXalen"]

Here you go @CaptainXalen:

http://starwarsrp.net/topic/162-using-prefixes/

[PUBLIC] : These RP threads can be joined by anyone on the board, and are open to all.

[PRIVATE] : This prefix means your RP thread can only be joined by people you have invited. You may place the people you've invited into the title of the thread.

[DUEL] : These role-play threads are reserved for duels between characters, and are invite-only.

[FACTION]: This prefix is reserved for Faction-Only Member Roleplays.

[INVASION]: Invasions are battles fought for a planet between two factions. Other factions may request to join, but must have either 1) both involved faction leader's approval, or 2) staff approval. Approval to join a planetary battle should not be given out lightly and must have a story-centric reason. Only a faction leader may initiate an Invasion.

[DOMINION]:Dominions are threads used to gain new, unoccupied planets by a faction. Only a faction leader may initiate a Dominion.

[Non-Canon]: Non-Canon role-play threads do not take place during the timeline here at Star Wars RP: Chaos and do not affect your characters, your promotions, or your factions. The Non-Canon tag should be used only to explore other timelines in the history of the Star Wars universe and to just have fun. You do not need to create new characters to use this tag to role-play them.

Kyra pretty much nailed your question however! :)
