I'm sorry to say, but I feel your question drew in a lot of ire that is ill needed. My two cents is that I don't know if you mean this site or Star Wars roleplaying in general, and I feel like the all caps were a bit out of place. If you are still online, feel free to let me and everyone else know what you meant.

Basically...we are a community of Star Wars fans who like to write.
Set in a galaxy 800yrs approx AFTER 'Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi', it gives us more room to be a little more free in our stories. We don't allow anyone writing as a canon character (Luke Skywalker, Darth Maul etc) because they'd all probably be dead but it's not our place to dictate what these real SW characters may or may not be doing. That's up to Disney now!
In a nutshell, have a look around and create a character to write as, and then join in a Role Play thread you'll find with other characters...and you're away.
Write, have fun and just shout if you want anymore help or have questions. We're here to help and hopefully get you started if you want to join in.

[member="gocards5nm"], it's a place where creative-minded people get together to tell a shared story in the Star Wars universe. [member="Connor Harrison"]'s posted the time frame to give you a point of reference. Each writer creates a character (or a lot of characters if you have a lot of time), and either writes cooperatively with other characters, or write on their own. We have factions that you can join if you want, or you can strike out alone. Want to be a Jedi? Sith? Smuggler? Mandalorian? Republic Senator? Well now you can! Heck, you can even be a Mandalorian Sith Smuggler, a Wookiee trapeze artist, or, my favorite, a Senator Pirate with a penchant for strong drink and a love of cottage cheese.
