Long ago in a distant land, we had a public/private roleplay forum (it was the same forum for both kinds of threads) and a campaign forum. It was for DnD style threads, where one person would be in charge of running what amounted to a small event and where every action would have to be determined by the person running the thread.
Wanted to jump to Hyperspace? you'd have to pass it by the GM to see if it worked.
Of course this was up to the OP as to whether or not they wanted to be that in depth, but that's basically what most people chose. It wasn't every popular, so it was removed.
The tag has remained as a warning.
Now we have events!

Has it right. Now days it's more used for linked threads forming a single campaign, though those are rare.
