What is the State of the Patitites?

So, the Patitites are a species that first appeared in the Clone Wars episode "Nomad Droid." Unfortunately, there's not a lot of information on them, but the Wookieepedia page does say that they are ruled by a democracy and whatnot, which I'm assuming would mean that at that time the species wasn't on level with Mon Calamari and humans, but at the same time weren't primitives.

Now, Chaos takes place almost a millenium after the Clone Wars, right? So, would it be reasonable to assume that the Patitites are able to travel offworld? Or, at the very least, were poached by slavers who sold the diminuitive folks as "pets" and exotic slaves?

It's the year 838 ABY, so about 850 or so years post-Clone Wars, but I'm sure that within the first hundred or so years that if they were introduced to space flight that they'd be capable of doing so. That being said, it's your character so you can come up with your own backstory for yourself if you wish. Don't worry about perceived canon.

^^What she said.

You can basically be any species(aside from a few banned ones), just have a back ground that makes sense. As for the entire species technological evolution, remember that in our timeline we had a massive plague, so even assuming they progressed forward, they like regressed during the plague. The Dark Age was essentially a "reset" of how things were.

850, 1000, close enough, right? xD and yeah, I just didn't want to say they're still scratching the dirt when logically they'd have progressed past that

Anytime *tips hat*

I remember seeing something about the plague here. I guess figuring out how much contact with outsiders the planet had would depend on how devastating the effects were, right? Especially if we could hypothetically say that some time during the 850 years poachers placed their sights on the small folks. Which, depending on their popularity as novelties, would also affect how much exposure to the plague they had, right? *ponders*

The plague wiped out entire worlds and devastated the populations of worlds like Corellia, Alderaan, and even Coruscant. Its unlikely that poachers/slavers ran around at all during this time especially since most worlds closed their borders entirely.

Little bitty humanoids that strongly resemble the Brownies from "Willow" (another Lucasfilms work)

And I was talking more about during the beginnings, before the borders being closed. Kind of like the first stage or so of the game "Pandemic II," where the infection spreads but isn't yet to the massive stage. But I guess it'd be safe to assume that their numbers would be low on their planet?
