The Unified Rogue Order (URO) exists in a manner that is different from all other orders of Jedi. Wherein a typical order of Jedi exists with a council of elder masters and a grandmaster to preside over them, URO does not. Rogue Jedi exist outside the bounds of a council, and throughout the years have largely existed unconstrained by any particular government or rule set. However, they all still have the common goal of preserving the lightside and defeating the Sith, which is why they are Rogue Jedi, and not Grey or Dark.
As such, there is a need for those with like minds to have somewhere to go if only to share knowledge, seek training, or come together in times of great galactic peril. The URO was founded for this reason. It does not seek to control or give orders to the various Rogue Jedi throughout the galaxy, but provides a friendly network for conversation and assistance.
The result of this effort has led to many various different Rogue organizations coming together to share knowledge and assist one another. In the halls of a URO temple, all are equals regardless of species, ability, rank, or lack thereof. The URO recognizes that even non-Jedi can share the ideals of the Rogue’s, and so willingly admits those without the ability to touch the Force to enter its halls in search of knowledge, friendship, and assistance. None are shunned from admittance, but they must truly be Rogue’s in spirit.
The Rogue Spirit is one that does not wish to be tied down by a politicized order. It seeks to do what must be done to preserve the galaxy, and strives for peace, but is willing to fight, to kill, and to resort to anything less than the dark side in order to defeat the enemies of peace. Nothing else and nothing more is asked of. The methods for achieving this are entirely up to the individuals and groups that make up the URO.
FAQ
Do you have a council?
No. We have a hall of council in which people can gather and ask questions of their peers or seek help for issues, but there is no council itself.
Are you, or will you be, a Major Faction?
No. This will never be a major faction and will never entertain formal politics.
Where are you located?
The main temple will be located on a world known as Krag (a player created world soon to be made).
What are your ranks?
We follow the standard template of Padawan, Knight, and Master. There are no other FU ranks involved. NFU members may have any rank they so desire as pertains to whatever group they are bringing to the ranks of the URO.
Are Rogue’s Lightside or Darkside?
Lightside. Rogue’s typically start out as normal Jedi but grow to find the political practices of councils and associations with major galactic governments to be an issue. Some do come to the Rogue’s as untrained initiates seeking to be trained solely as a Rogue, but we are all still light. We fight against the forces of evil.
Can anyone join?
Yep! Anyone that follows the Rogue ideals is welcome to join!
What if I want to start my own group?
We welcome you to do so! Each Rogue group associated with the URO will have its own faction with moderators to run it. This will facilitate ease of access for all.
