Mercury Zealot
Monstrocity of Moross - Deceased
... you must find salvation.
Stone Hermes trudged through the opening of the shuttle transport to the Sacred World of the Moross Crusade- Exocron. Last time he was here he had meet the Aesir Inari, the healer Goddess. She taught him how to pray to the gods properly, and in return he gifted to her a necklace bearing her name in Resu, so that he and the rest of his kin would be able to recognize her above the rest of the thermal brood that indicated living things. He had not been expecting to see gods the last time, but this time he demanded their presence… or rather, just one.
There was a crisis in the Realm of Resu. It was well known to Resu at this point that those granted the gift of Neth were almost always rendered infertile due to the grand change. It was the sole reason why a reservation had been kept of the Originals at the last moment of the Resu Evolution War, which would have resulted in extinction had that discovery not been made. They thought though, that at this point, the Reservation would be capable of producing enough young to replenish the ranks of the Resu in the Crusade, especially with the hardy nature of those infected. However, with so small a population, minor disturbances can spell doom to an entire race.
A Resu-borne plague has stricken the population, and the Moross are incapable of helping the Plagued due to the Eternal War between the Originals and the Moross. The Plagued are exiled into Moross space, as it is the only mercy that can be given. What is worse however, is that the Plague is not compatible with the Techno-Virus, and the cannot be fully turned. The Moross cannot convert the Plagued fully, rendering them useless and dead. Worse still, females are merely carriers of the Plague, and upon fertilization their children become Plague-bearers.
The Moross cannot find a reason why the Plague had started, but the threat exists to extinguish both races if something is not done. They have no time to find out the origin of the Plague, their sole purpose is to find the cure, or merely a solution to the dilemma. To whom would they go? To their god: Neth the Keeper, Bearer of Gifts, and Divine Enlightener. They would ask a solution to their problem, a solution that by the will of the force, already burned its way towards Moross through hyperspace…
The Iron Giant...
Ignorant of that fact, the First Convert went to grovel to his favored God. Though surely he must already have some idea of his troubles, and thus must also know some idea of his solution. If he did, he would need support in finding it, as Stone Hermes even when enlightened to the gift of Neth, he is still blind and inept at influencing the world around him beyond simple destruction. He needed a human, but a human that could connect with him on the primal level... the warrior level.
This was a day of reckoning as to the fate of the Resu... a situation the Keeper had once before already held in possession of.
At the foot of his temple he bowed, and demanded (since he did not know how to beg) an audience with the God of the Temple, no matter how long the wait.
