Visvada Ondu
Vidhvansakan High Priest
A simple ship, crafted in the large, industrial city of Ugi exited hyperspace and floated calmly before the thrusters roared (or not so much in the dead of space) to action. The ship floated lazily on toward a planet that look much like the one that Visvada Ondu had left. The jungles of Jivanada Dharaka, though, were irreplaceable.
"Day 76," his melodic voice speaks out loud. A computer recognizes it as an entry into the journal that he had been keeping, per the request of the Council Elders. "The endlessness of space still does not cease to amaze me. It is beyond what one should think is possible. The vast possibilities of what is discoverable have no limit. And here upon this day, I fly towards the planet located at-" a pause as he check his console, "-0-9. Name: Onderon."
A small click ends the entry. Then, his long, triple-jointed fingers linger forward and prod the throttle with a planned tenacity. The ship immediately responded by increasing it's speed as it flew toward the atmosphere of the giant orb. A large, reptilian sigh erupted from Visvada as he closed his eyes and leaned back into his chair, which cupped his head perfectly.
The ship breached the atmosphere with a slight shudder. The yellow eyes of the large Vidhvansakan opened his eyes and pushed the button to activate the reverse thrusters. A small beep sounded when the button was pushed. Normally there was no beep.
The vessel hurtled onwards, gaining speed with heat collecting on the outside and building up. The alien rose and rushed to the back of the ship, already knowing what was going on. The back held his armor which he put on in exactly 6.45 seconds. Which was the fastest he could possibly do it (which, had been tested. His time for putting on his armor was always 6.43 seconds or longer with very small fluctuations).
A small switch was flipped and loud metallic clanks set the armor into position, and acctivated the battery, powering the motors in the armor. By the time that everything was ready, the ship was disintegrating and the alarms were going off at annoying volumes. Then-
A tree. The ship hit the top of a tree and it pinballed down to the ground. Silently, Visvada thanked the Gods for his small distress beacon built into his armor. Then the ground rushed up and rocked the ship to a stop and all movement settles as Visvada's vision fell to black.
