When the Sun Sets ...

Anaxes
Café

Sun. It sets. Sunset is often seen as a romantic thing. But Megan doesn't think so.

She looks out of the window and sighs for a moment. The café is large and it has windows on every wall, meaning everything around the building was able to be seen from the inside. Ugh. She looks at her small white porcelain cup of coffee and a smile crosses her face just for a second.

It's not that the drink gives her any positivity. Sunset is a thing which brings the girl joy. Sunset is when she could rest from a long day in the parliament. Sunset is when she gets to go back home and do whatever she truly enjoys. Not that she would hate being in the legislative branch of the Tholatin power.

Not at all.

She often wears her hair in a bun so that her face would be seen perfectly. She doesn't want to be patially hidden. It shows corruption, she thinks. She also wears a white dress with very short sleeves. The dress itself is long, made out of silk and other fine materials.

But that's not what it's all about.

Megan looks out of the window again. It's the sun. Setting.

Rubbing the side of his face, Rowan sighed heavily. He still had no Master to train him and now he was wandering around aimlessly and looking at all the stores and vendors selling to visitors and locals. It was really something else he had to admit. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he looked around and sniffed some. Something smelt wonderful...coffee and pastries. Stomach growling, Rowan looked down with a laugh.

"Guess it's time to get some food at least."

Walking towards the windowed cafe, Rowan was intrigued. Light filtered through from the sun setting making it appear a beautiful orange on the white drapes that covered the tables. Opening the door and stepping inside, his robe fluttered lightly when the wind rushed by.

"A dark please," he smiled and looked around. A light chatter filled the air and he felt relaxed, it was wonderful! His coffee was given to him and he paid quickly. "Thank you," he said with a flash of pearly whites. Looking around, Rowan walked through the small tables, A massive man trying to squeeze through small tables was amusing. Hitting a chair, Rowan nearly flew forward but caught himself. Whipping around quickly, an apologetic look came forth fast.

"Oh, excuse me ma'am, I'm having a hard time fitting through tables," he said with a chuckle.

Megàn looked at the boy who walked against a chair and almost fell on the table. She smirked for a moment, but then stood up, her face turning worried. She didn't care too much about people, but seeing someone possibly getting hurt was a bit sorry to see. It felt just like she herself got hurt or if not that much, maybe slightly disturbed by that.

"Are you alright?" she asked from the man, showing her cold, yet not evil-sounding voice. It was just the timbre which made it like that. After the man would answer her question, she'd continue, "Maybe you'd like to sit right here? To avoid failing at squeezing through the tables, I mean."

She sat right where she had sat before and waited whether the man decided to stay there or get out of there. Either way was probably equally awkward for both of them, so they had nothing to lose.

Embarrassed with his little show, Rowan rubbed the back of his head and laughed lightly.

"Oh, I'm alright, just too big for a place this size is all." Dusting off himself a little to avoid causing more destruction, Rowan looked up at the female before him. "You wouldn't mind?" That question was soon null as a massive grin spread across his face and he took the empty seat across from her. "I appreciate that very much! I was probably causing a wreck for everyone's trying to enjoy their day." Setting his coffee on the table and looking at the woman before him, a friendlier smile graced his features.

Sticking a hand out, he had forgotten to introduce himself. "Sorry for barging in on you like this. I'm Rowan Athzaria, it's a pleasure to meet you." The friendly giant hoped he wasn't making this too awkward for the poor woman who managed to invite him to her table.

Megàn didn't speak a word while Rowan monologued. Probably because she didn't know what to say to him, but maybe even because she didn't want to accidentally take back her offer. The girl was definitely not one who would have many friends, so any new acquaintance was lovely to have. She couldn't leave such a chance unused.

As the man took seat, the girl took a sip of her coffee before she would start to speak.

"It's OK. And I must say the same; it's nice to meet you. I am Megàn. Alestria is my family name as we got to speaking of them." She smiled carefully, not to show off too much. She was a horrible smiler and only during her time as the Tholatin Parliament, she had learned how to do that. That didn't matter she was able to smile naturally. Every smile which crossed her face was faked, every little expression of her face carefully thought out.

"But let's forget the little problem you had. I am a bit interested in you. I mean, who are you and what do you do," she spoke after smiling. "I myself am a politician, actually living on Tholatin." She thought she could trust the man.

Eyebrows raised in surprise, Rowan grinned once more. "A politician huh? I guess it's nice to get out once in a while, I always thought it was work, work, work and then speeches right after. You guys do a lot if I say so," he chuckled jokingly hoping she would take it lightheartedly. Looking up and thinking about himself, Rowan let out a small whistle.

"Well, I grew up an orphan, but the Republic took me in seeing as how I have a gift. Hoping to use it for good," he stated and reflected on that. "I am a Jedi Padawan at the moment, hoping to become a Jedi Master. It's a dream of mine when one had helped me. Lot of training to go through though, but I'm willing to work hard and long for that title."

There was something about her. He knew politicians had to keep a profile and their rep up, so why was she telling him she was a politician? Wasn't she afraid of getting hurt or killed?

"If I can ask, Miss Alestria...why are you out in public? Do you have guards stationed everywhere? I thought the life of a politician was secure and full of people trying to kill you for power," he said in a low voice across the table. He didn't want to get her hurt if he spoke too loud and well, he was there to help with the threat if anything did happen.

"Security? Why would I need that? People barely even know me," Megàn answered, most of her speech being an obvious joke. She had some security out here: spies, guards, pilots. They were all in everyday outfits, though, and nothing would have hinted to their jobs. Well, besides their weapons, but these weren't too noticeable as most of them had hidden them under their clothes.

"Your story was interesting and I'd like to hear some more. I think it will be a fun conversation." She opened herself up too well. A politician shouldn't have done that. Or should they have? It brought the higher ranking people closer to ones living under their rule. It was a good thing in a democratic government to have such... freedom.

"What do you think about the Jedi life, though? I've heard some think it's too difficult. Some speak it's dull. I don't know what to believe. Would you please enlighten me about that?"
