When Two Fires Meet

[member="Lexa Imura"]

Romeo sat at garden od the Shadow Keep, admiring the few hours left of daylight of the day. The sun was anice, golden, yellow ball of fire, its warm rays tiuched his cheeks like a lover would. In the background, Silacanths roamed the fields, grazing on the grass. Some where a Shadow Raptor hunted them, you could hear its chirps, and hisses. Romeo leaned back on his bench, then laid down on it. He crossed his hands behind his head, amd closed his eyes, letting his eara do the seeing for him. A crack echoed, and out shot the Raptor, racing to find its dinner. Within a few seconds, it had pounced on a Silacanth, and was tearing it to shreds. That was life, eat, or be eaten, or was it? Romeo's theory on the force bent, and twisted, it twirled, then finally straightened out.
That was life, it was a rollcoasterthat you had to fight for control.

Lexa was new to the Shadow Empire. After a year or so of wandering, she'd decided to rejoin something at last. She walked through an open archway, coming out into a spacious courtyard. It was a lovely place, with millions of different kinds of plants and flowers, each glowing in the light of the setting sun. She strolled among them, stopping to admire roses of the deepest crimson she'd ever seen. Her senses were aware of another in her vicinity. She ignored them, not wanting to bother whoever it was.

The canny force alerted him to a presence near him, and his eyes opened. -Who could that be?- He thought to himself. He stood up, and looked around. -Ah, miss Imura..- He smiled. "Lexa!" He called out, and waved her over. "Come, sit with me would you?" He felt like he was yelling at her, and blushed.

Lexa looked up from her roses. Was that..... The Shadow King? Calling her over so casually, as if he knew her? She straightened herself, and slowly walked over to him. "Um...... Do I know you? Besides as the Shadow King, that is......" She said, a little confused.

Romeo smiled, and shook his head. "No, we do not know each other, I just know of you, and the Imura family. The best there is when it comes to the art of fire." He patted the seat beside him, "Come, sit. I do not bite. Much." He chuckled softly, and scooted over to give her more room to sit.
"You are such a cautious one, walking on your toes. Relax. There is nothing to worry about here."

Lexa slowly sat down next to him. "I had a feeling we were infamous. So, there must be something you're interested in. What is it?" She said calmly. She didn't relax, however. It simply wasn't in her nature to do so. She sat straight and alert, just in case. Old habits die hard...

Romeo chuckled softly, and looked at the woman with warm eyes. "I want nothing but your company as I sit here, and enjoy the last hours of sunlight...why must I want something of you in order to have spoken to you?" He cocked his head a bit, and laid his arm on the back of the bench.

Romeo flinched a little. "Low blow.." He smiled at her. "I am not asking too much am I?" He turned his body to face her. "You are such a tense person." He said, examining her body language.
He lowered his voice, and leaned in. "Can I tell you a secret?"

Romeo shook his head yes, and leaned back. "But when I tell you this secret, you have to confess one secret back, and maybe," He rubbed his chin. "Maybe we will turn into a game, if you approve of course."

Lexa sighed. "I'm not going to answer if I don't want to..." She turned so that she was facing him as well. She had plenty of secrets. Some of them, she wasn't willing to share.

Romeo chuckled, oh how he loved a hard shell to crack open. He would get this woman to relax, and trust him though. He stood up, and walked to the center of the area Lexa, and him sat. He looked out to the creatures that were now near the edge of the plains, and close to his walls,
"Okay, then let me tell you my secret." He said then turned to look at her.
"I have introduced myself into the Sith ranks." He lifted his shirt off to reveal the mark that had to be given to him before joining them. It was placed on his upper right shoulder, and crawled to his right chest. "I have done this to spy on them..and I am not proud of the things I have done in it...I think it would be best if I left them, and called the network done."

Lexa eyed the scar snaking down his chest. "Alright. I have a secret...." She got up and walked over to Romeo, sitting down near him. "When..... When my husband died, I met his brother. There was one night when we...." Her voice trailed off at the memory. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced before.

Romeo shook his head, and looked out to the sun's ever fading rays of light. "I understand..I wont make you say it out loud." He looked back to the woman. "My turn." He dug at the ground with his foot, and put his shirt down. "Alright, here we go..." He took a deep breath. "I admire the power my father possess...even though I despise the man, what he has accomplished is...creditable..I believe that is the word I would use.." He looked down in shame. He hated his father, with more passion then anyone could understand.
"My father is a Sith Lord."

She smirked little bit. "My husband was a Sith Lord as well. That was his choice. But I loved him regardless of it." She looked at Romeo, sensing some of his feelings. "What your father is.... That is his choice. Not yours. Don't let what he's done determine what you do." She knew that giving him helpful tips about his own problems probably wouldn't help anything, but it was better than acting as if it didn't matter. Obviously, it did. She changed the subject. "My turn. When I was fourteen years old, I woke up alone in the Dxunan jungle. I didn't know how I got there, or where I'd come from. I couldn't even remember my family, if I even had one. All I knew was my name and that I could use the Force."

Romeo smiled at the woman, and nodded in confidence. "You're right." He replied back to her. So far this had turn into a fun game, and he felt he was earning her trust, and she was earning his. When listening to her story, he raised an eyebrow. "Now that is a story I would like to hear, if you would like to share."

"That's the majority of it, I'm afraid. I can't remember my past. And I never figured out who I really am." Lexa said, shrugging. She eventually just accepted that she'd never know, and moved on with her life. "Your turn again." She shifted a bit, placing her hands on the cool, dampened grass.

Romeo took a deep breath, "Yes, yes it is my turn." He looked back at the woman. "Well..." He chuckled, and shook his head. "I was once engaged to be married. My daughter Keturah is adopted, but this does not change how much I love her, Erika is her step sister. Her real mother..I have not seen in years."

Lexa calmly looked in his direction. "Who was she?" She said quietly. He didn't have to answer, in fact he had every right to refuse. She wasn't one to pry into the personal worlds of others, no matter how curious she was.
