- Shell Whistling Birds: Each shell contains twelve whistling birds that go into two firing modes depending on what is activated:
- Guided Mode: When the tactical display is online, one can aim and lock on to anything with a thermal signature and then fire the whistling birds. It would track the specified targets locked onto and go after them for fifteen seconds before giving a safety detonation.
- Unguided Mode: Point and shoot mechanic, whistling birds would automatically target the closest thermal signature after being fired from the shotgun.
- Single or Double Fire: While each one contains six shots total, it can
- Stay on Target: Once the whistling birds have their target, it is very difficult for anyone target to get way, including Force Users.
- Whistling Bird Shells: Given how the whistling birds are incorporated, anyone with armor should be fearful of what they can accomplish.
- Guided Mode: It can be given a specific target before firing one or both shells, making it rather deadly against a single individual of twelve to twenty-four whistling birds.
- Kaboom Kick!: This is not an easy weapon to fire as it requires to push out the whistling birds far enough to not target their own in unguided mode.
- EMP Sucks: If shot with an EMP Blast, the weapon is effectively useless and has a better chance of being a club at that point.
- Friendly Fire Online: Whistling Birds in Unguided Mode do not distinguish between neutral, friendly or enemy targets, whatever is in front of them. This can cause issues in a large firefight if not careful.
Haon Hafey always prefered the old fashioned shotguns to remove the shells from and then to reload. However the need for something more dangerous and not to miss more often became a large focus, hence the creation of the Whistling Bith Shotgun, named after a literal Bith whom questioned why no one made such a device yet. The Whistling Bith Shotgun uses Whistling Birds as the literal ammunition, inside a shotgun shell that is programmable only with the Whistling Bith Shotgun that can determine from guided to unguided mode. Both showed great promise and with the wars looming their heads once more, he quickly put them into production for the Brotherhood of the Maw.
