Why all the Trouble?
Location - Security Station, Entrance to Under-city, Courscant

Well, it was just your normal day in Courscant. But...not really for Arcan. Arcan hadn't seen any action all day, and it was making him restless and agitated. He hadn't signed on the security force and trained in the academy for a year just to be sitting behind a desk, answering people's questions and concerns. Though at least some of the questions he had answered were amusing. Arcan had just been recounting a call he just had with a very agitated citizen, the mere thought of it making him burst out laughing. Apparently, someone had stolen their watermelon and they were very pissed off about it. The person had called Security to file a report, though all Arcan did was laugh it off and feign that they were going to look into the situation. In truth, Arcan wasn't going to do anything about it. Someone had stolen a watermelon and probably eaten it by now. What was he supposed to do, force them to vomit it up in a court as evidence? Yeah, Arcan had the same thought.

Then the phone just had to ring in. Arcan leaned forwards, grabbing the phone in his clawed hand before bringing it up to his ear.
"Hello, Security Station here."
"Yes, hi. Have you guys looked into my watermelon case?"
Oh great, the angry watermelon citizen was back. Though, Arcan figured he could have some fun with the citizen. "Yes, we're looking into it right now...now did this watermelon have any close relations with anybody?"
"Yes, with me. I was gonna sell it."
"Ha, Sir...uhm why would you sell just one watermelon?"
"Uh...because...because...
"Ah yes...because...that's the best reason. Goodbye citizen, and don't interrupt us with unnecessary calls again, you hear me?!"
With that, Arcan hanged up, slotting the phone back into. He then leaned back in his chair, his sapphire blue eyes closing lazily. Boy, today had been soo long...if just something exciting would happen Arcan's life would go by faster. He normally enjoyed doing security, well when he had something to you know do.

"Scream and I kill you." Nadistac had heard those words far to often. She wished her life would just slow down for a minute at least.

"Yeah, yeah I know the drill," I reached into my pocket and pulled out some credits.

"That's right. Now hand it over.

She could take it easy on the guy and give it to him, but that would mean that she would be broke. As she start to hand the credits over she pulled out her staff and wacked the viroblade out of the guys hand. He shouted in surprise,

"Hey, you said no yelling."

He scrambled to get away, but Nadistac chased him down and tackled him. He was at her mercy now. She raised her staff to finish him, but before she could do it she felt a hand grab her staff. She turned and saw Courscant secruity.

"Crap."

The Courscant guard brought his black-gloved hand up to his ear, activating his comlink. His other hand held tightly to the woman's staff to stop her from getting away. The comlink gave off a soft green slow before giving off a soft audible beep, connecting to the security center near the entrance to the under-city.
"Hello, any officers at the center?"
"I'm here, Lan, what's the problem? A chase, gunfight, mugging?"
"Well, it's kind of a mugging, Arcan. I caught a woman beating down a supposed mugger with her staff. The mugger's face is a bloody mess, as for the woman...well I'm trying to stop her from escaping. Sending coordinates now."
"I'll be right down there, just need to get suited up first encase things go south. Arcan over and out."
-------------------------------------------------------
Arcan was in and out of the security center in a flash. It didn't take long for him to find what he needed, which wasn't much luckily. A pistol was holstered at Arcan's hip, a stun baton at the other, with a foldable rifle at his back. At the moment, the rifle looked as though it were just a strange, square backpack. Though in reality, it was a rifle ready to fire at the ready. Both weapons had stun and kill options, though they were set to stun automatically...something Arcan was grateful for. Arcan's clawed gripped his helmet tightly against his hip before using both hands to put it on and over his head, locking the helmet into place. He pushed open the transparent, bullet-proof glass door of the security center before getting into a sleek black and blue security patrol vehicle. The vehicle was open to the air, tough that was the standard design. It was cheaper that way, plus easier to repair. The more armored vehicles were in the undercity doing patrols though Arcan figured he didn't need much. It was just supposed to be a single pick-up. But, he felt different, his hands shook at the thought of him going to the under-city. Luckily he was able to muster enough control over himself to type in the coordinates before the ship took off automatically to the spot closest to it's destination.

"I was defending myself. What's the crime in that?"

"Well not only to did you beat the man, if I hadn't stopped you you would've killed him," the officer retorted.

Nadistac couldn't argue against that. She wondered how long she would be in custody this time. Everytime it was a day at most, but she felt different about this one. Courscant secruity is always more strict, but being in the lower levels didn't help ease the feeling. She heard the patrol car approaching. Usually it would be the mugger in the car, but he was taken by the medics. She was fine so she would have the honor of leaving in cuffs.

As the car pulled up she said, "So do I take the front or the back?"

Arcan sighed, slightly annoyed. Seems like he had gotten ready for no reason at all, though he wasn't completely annoyed by it, at least he had been prepared encase anything happened. Which so far, nothing did, luckily. Arcan's gloved claw slid over the half-door of the hover vehicle before pushing it open. He stepped out of the vehicle before his eyes looked downwards towards who had caused the disturbance. [ [member="RangerVisoN7"] ]The woman who had a dark complexion with striking brown eyes and black hair which complimented her skin tone. Arcan wasn't sure as to the cause of the whole fiasco, though he would find that out soon enough anyways. He pulled out a pair of cuffs, holding them in one hand before clipping them onto the wrists of the woman, locking the cuffs into place on her wrists.
"You...can take the back, madam."
Arcan opened up the back half-door of the hover-vehicle before closing it once she had gotten inside. He then went back to the front and got inside, closing the door behind him. Though, before he left, he turned to his friend Lan, who had captured the woman.
"Need a ride back to base, Lan?"
"Can't. Wish I could...but you know the boss, I got to stay here till my shift ends."
"Well, best of luck to you Lan, try not to get shot."
"Ha, I'll remember not to."

As the car letter Nadistac examined the man driving. He was wearing armor that suggested he expects trouble. Not uncommon in the lower levels, but she wasn't going to cause any.

"So, you come here often? Wait that was stupid." Stupid, stupid, stupid. Now he doesn't only think your dangerous he thinks your crazy. Well it's not like I'm trying to impress him, but I don't want that to go on my record. "Uh.... Let's just forget I said that. I meant to ask as in, do you come to the lower levels often?"

He probably won't answer saying "Quiet! Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law, blah blah blah." It would be nice for a cop that actually responds though. Ahh whatever.

Arcan decided that it was safe enough to take off his helmet, placing it on the empty seat to his right. Both of his hands stayed to the steering-wheel of the vehicle, making sure that the vehicle was ascending properly and going towards the security center. Arcan was glad he hadn't experienced any trouble, it made him relax easier and not stress as much. Arcan's head turned to the side once [member="RangerVisoN7"] began to speak. He couldn't help but chuckle softly at what she said. If he wasn't mistaken, it certainty sounded like a pickup line, a cheesy one at that. Though, one he would probably use knowing him. Arcan then faced forwards again before answering the woman's question in a calm yet cheerful voice with a smile upon his face.
"You know, if I'm not mistaken, that sounds like a cheesy pickup line. But back to your question, I've never really gone to the lower-levels before. Hell, just then was my first time going down there. Look, you don't have to act all tense around me...I'm a relaxed guy so don't worry yourself. Now, what about you? You go down there often?"

She sighed thinking of how much she did spend in the lower levels.

"Well there's not really anywhere else to go is there? I can't afford to go on the upper levels. Most people don't want to live here, but that's Courscant. It pulls you in with promises of wealth and power, only for a common thug to stab ya in the back."

She probably shouldn't have said so much, but he seemed trust worthy. She looked out the window seeing tge floors pass by. So fast in a car. It's harder to climb them.

"But considering that was your first time in the lower levels, you're probably very glad that I was who you picked up. Man that also sounds like a pickup line. I swear I'm not doing this on purpose!"

She blushed trying to hid the fact.

"Fair enough, I see where you're coming from. The upper levels are not all they're cracked up to be either. You guys probably have it pretty rough down there, though it was rough up here when the world was under sith rule...but that was another time. Believe me, people have stabbed me in the back up here, thugs are everywhere in the galaxy...though luckily they're few and far between...at least I think."
The car finally pulled up into a docking bay of the security-center. Magnetic clamps came down onto either side of the car, securing it into place while Arcan climbed out. After doing so, he opened the back door closest to where [member="RangerVisoN7"] was sitting before closing the door behind her. Arcan didn't see the need in using a chain to lead her, he found it easier and less intimidating for both him and 'convicts' if he just let them follow him. Though, he didn't consider the woman a convict. Arcan believed that she had just been defending herself, though he still needed to get it on record so that she could be proven innocent or guilty depending on her answer.
"Oh my gosh, you and your pickup lines. I swear if you don't stop you're gonna be in one of those cheesy sitcoms ones day."
Lucky for her, Arcan hadn't noticed her blush. Though if he did, he didn't say anything about it.

She followed him thankful he wasn't using a chain. It's demeaning to both her and the cop. She was hoping that she would be released soon. She was glad that she wasn't able to finish what she started. That would look a lot worse.

Walking into the center was both thrilling and nerve racking. She hadnt seen such advanced technology since Naboo, and that was years ago. Seeing other officers made her think about the one she was following. They had met only a few minutes ago and already she looked like, well an idiot to be frank. Not that she was trying to look nice. Ok maybe a little.

As they kept going into the center she remembered that on Naboo they check for Force Sensitivity. She really didn't want to explain why an untrained Force user was on the lower levels of Courscant. Maybe they didn't do that here. Stop fretting.

"Hey, do you guys do that thing for Force users?" Wow, good job that doesn't look suspicious what-so-ever. Yep everything is great.

"For a friend," right a friend. I wonder how many times he hears that.

Arcan walked [member="RangerVisoN7"] into an room void of people. Though before he walked in, he quickly put the rifle on his back into the armory as it wasn't needed anymore. All that was in the room was a blank wooden table with a chair on either side, it was an interrogation room. Not a torture room, well more of a 'confession' room Arcan supposed though he didn't know how to describe it. Basically where the cops asked people questions, the people or suspects answered, it was taken for the record...that type of stuff. Arcan turned suddenly when the woman mentioned something about force users, his posture notably stiffened at the comment making him stand to his full height over the woman, his sapphire eyes peering downwards at her, curious and slightly concerned. Arcan didn't want to deal with any force user mumbo-jumbo right now, hell he never wanted to deal with it. He disliked force users, some more than others...though he had a distaste for all. Though, he wasn't sure if the woman was a force users...so he went with thinking that she wasn't, helped to put him at ease some.
"N-no, we don't do a thing for force users here. At least...I don't deal with force users...cause--would you please take a seat, madam? I need to ask you a few questions for the record and then we can have this all sorted out."

Arcan nodded to [member="RangerVisoN7"] before taking the seat opposite of her. Arcan contemplated pulling out some paper with questions, though he didn't have any of those papers on him. What he did have was the voice recorder however. Arcan reached under the table, one of his claws pressing a button. The button gave off a beep, signaling that the recording was going to begin. Then their was the problem of the first question. Okay, just pretend you're having a normal conversation with this woman. Now, what would you ask first. Then it struck Arcan, he didn't even know the woman's name. What better way to ask her name then give his as well, to make her feel more comfortable...right? At least that's how Arcan would always approach questionings...if he ever did them that is, well he did do one every now and then though he was more of an 'out in the field' type of cop.
"Ok, so let's just treat this like a normal conversation, makes it easier on the both of us. So first of all...what's your name? I go by Arcan. And you are...?"
Arcan hoped he wasn't making the whole situation awkward. He was trying to make it feel natural as to not put any stress on the woman, that normally let to good results and answers to questions. At least it did in Arcan's experience...most of the time that is.

"Calm down their, Nad, no need to get over excited...though it is a nice name. Okay so...uhm, why did you attack the man? Was he mugging you and you acted in self defense? Sorry for all these questions, I don't think you caused any harm...but hey it's just what I got to do."
Arcan couldn't help but smile at how excited [member="RangerVisoN7"] had sounded. She certainty sounded like the energetic type, something Arcan was glad about. He had spent too long with lazy security guards, will that's wrong...kind of. Most of the guards in the force weren't lazy, in fact they were often quite energetic. Though, Arcan always seemed to be assigned with the 'lazy' or just rather neutral sounding and acting guards. I admit, it does it kind of repetitive and boring...but that's besides the point. Arcan appreciated how energetic Nad was, it was a breath of fresh air in his life today which had up to this point, been quite boring and slow so far.
"Oh yeah, feel free to ask me any questions you want."

"Alright so first off, he attacked me and I was defending myself. Though I do admit I may have gone a bit to far," she gave a nervous smile.

"Secound, well I don't have one so let's ask you a question. What do you do here exactly. I mean beside drive in suspects and ask questions. Not that there's anything wrong with that!"

Man I'm like really off my game today. First I get snuck up on twice, taken in for questioning, and now I sound like I'm some sort of gungan.

"Hey, I do more than that! I go on patrols, conduct the occasional raid on the neighborhood deathstick dealer, sometimes participate in shootouts. Heck, sometimes even have to deal with hostage situations or the very rare instance of tracking down some gang members. That enough for you?"
Arcan folded his arms over his chest, his face taking on a more serious tone than previously. He didn't know what type of cop [member="RangerVisoN7"] took him for, though he wasn't a lazy one that was easy enough to explain Arcan's eyes locked onto those of Nad's, trying to discern if she were lying...though he suspected that she wasn't. What reason would she have for lying anyways? Sure maybe to get out of this situation, though their weren't many reasons for her to lie to him. He was about to ask her, when a question popped into his mind. One he had been curious about.
"Well, don't worry the mugger will survive...you didn't kill him so don't worry about that. But, I'm curious, what do you do in the under-levels? Like, how do you make a living, do you try and be a vigilante? I'm genuinely curious."

Oh man. I pissed him off. Okay just focus and tell him the truth.

"Yeah...vigilante stuff. It's not like I kill people! That would have been my first," on this planet, "but when I'm not kicking butt I work one of those noddle shops. It isn't much, but hey free noddles."

Okay so you just told him your a vigilante! Do you know the kind of trouble you could get into for that?

He seemed an honest guy! And kinda cute?

No! Now is not the time for blushes and cute faces! We need to get out with as little trouble as possible!

But-

No buts!

"Sorry for getting all pissed off at you, didn't mean to get that way. So, you do vigilante type stuff, taking the law into your own hands. Can't say I blame you...I would've been doing the same things you are doing if I were in your shoes. Also, you say a noodle shop? Might have to stop by down their. But first I need to know something...what type of noodles do you guys have?"
Arcan was actually genuinely curious about where she worked. He...well, Arcan had a thing for noodles....they were just soo good. Arcan looked at [member="RangerVisoN7"] curiously, trying to figure out what it was about her that had him puzzled. Was it her cheesy pickup lines? Maybe. Was it her hair and personality? Who knows. Was is that she was kind of cute? Well...let's just say it's the pickup lines for now. Though, Arcan had to admit, he did find her kind of cute. Though he didn't feel he had the strength or courage to tell her that. God's know he's bad a telling people things, especially with flirting with them. Arcan looked away nervously, hoping that he hadn't made it obvious that he had been staring at her.
