Coruscant
The Deep Core
An advisor, he hardly felt like advising anything given his mood. A large, secretive grey room, high in one of the innumerable towering spires on Coruscant, officials sat miling about, high ranking military, senators, and others that were much bigger fish than him, all speaking in their own little conversations. Security was tight, the wildcards with several of their own as well as regular republic forces lining the building and beyond. Not long back from apprehending the murderers at Contruum, and soaking up the losses of several good friends in that action, against criminal forces attempting to flee the planet with possible dangerous artefacts. Kei's stubbled face was grave, but he was focusing back on republic forces as usual, this gave him purpose and strength of mind. Several of the senior officers were gathered around talking, scientists and specialists, with him just standing around, mostly as an observer but learning all the same from the men and women that knew much more than he did.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, honoured guests, please all of you take your seat, and we can begin" A Corellian speaker cleared his throat and whispered to several of the scientists around him, tapping the communication device in front of him, he began to speak about the purpose behind the design. Kei was right at the back of the hall, here as a courtesy more than anything, but he heard enough.
This meeting was to answer some hard questions from the brass, about practical, usable responses to all huge ships, not just one. In his hands, the Jedi had a datapad in front of him, reading the battle reports out, the same as a large display on the far wall. It was obvious how woefully equipped standard fighters were against something the size of a small country, which could not only land on a planet, cloak, not take a scratch from ion cannons, and obliterate wings of fighters coming in from orbit, methodically dispatching cruisers at close range on the way as it past. They needed an answer to all ships of that magnitude, especially those that could break atmosphere, not just one. That was supposedly Arion's specialty, doing more with less, this kind of sight had swung credits into the project, with many designs being proposed, not just this one.
All in all, he'd been dragged over the coals for putting him men too deep into that last fight, rightly so, he was lucky to still be in uniform given the odds, and the dead pilots were heavy on his conscience. His only saving grace was, till now nobody had known the sheer up close scope of its covert capacity, and both its offense and defense, as well as its atmospheric capability, till now...

EDIT: Now its open to any Army of Light or Neutral engineer/tech. Open to anyone else with a story idea, after a PM discussion. Can mess with the design as we go. - Changing the focus of it.
