Wild Knights Starfighters

So, Chevu threw out the possibility of co-opting the canon Wild Knights for use here, and I thought it seemed fun. So, I'm going to run with it and see what happens.

Canon: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wild_Knights

They're an ad hoc starfighter group of Force sensitive pilots who use a conglomerate of various starfighters. I think it'd be cool to run with that sort of ramshackle feel and put together a starfighter group using people's personal starships or a few old-fashioned classic fighters. Thoughts?

As the Allycat [member="Alexandra Russo"] said, are you thinking Force exclusive? I don't want to be that guy, but making open to all is smart. Also I wanted to get her in this thread.

So I guess the question is do we want one or two PC squadrons? One with a mix of FU/NFU like Twin Suns or Kyp's Dozen or have two separate, one FU and the other NFU. We could also have a Wraith-like squadron that is mixed and does more than just primary defense. Would open up more opportunities for possible RP. I think too it all depends on numbers of active writers too. And I like using canon snubfighters myself. Call me traditional. :p

I say keep it simple. Maybe a Wing thats... fluid. Everyone flies together but... not always with the same loadouts?

Like... our pilots are all part of this group, but there are smaller groups within the pilots.

I was looking mainly at a mix of NFUs and FUs, since that gives more freedom and each has their own benefits and such that could be brought to bear to the squadron. And that larger group idea with smaller ones within would also work really well.

Definitely pulling out old canon ships and putting the best pilots with them. Until then, Roth has a light freighter he's tricked out a bit to work as a light starfighter if need-be. My first idea is to get some Z-95s and upgrade them to modern specs, or at least close to it. Then acquire newer ones over time.
