Bio:
From a young age Wilhelm was a precocious and prodigious reader, drawn to military history and biography. So strong was his love of learning that he would carefully avoid children his own age,he found himself a little room on the third floor of his family house in which he stayed by himself and didn't come down very often, even to eat with his family. Up there, he read constantly, especially the memoir of the famed Moff Tarkin. The result of his deep love of reading meant that he carried in his head an encyclopedia of military and political tactics and quotations that he can draw on at any time.

Wilhelm received an outstanding school report from preparatory school, the inspector of military schools who recommended him for the prestigious Concordat Imperial Academy, 'Excellent health, docile expression, mild, straightforward, thoughtful. Conduct most satisfactory; has always been distinguished for his application in mathematics … This boy would make an excellent soldier.' Of the 150 candidates for entry into the academy, a total of 66 passed their final exams and only 14 of these were invited to enter, so Wilhelm had been selected for an elite group.

By the time Wilhelm had spent five years at the Concordat Imperial Academy he was thoroughly imbued with the military ethos, as an army officer, Wilhelm believed in centralized control within a recognized hierarchical chain of command and the importance of maintaining high morale. Order in matters of administration and education was vital. He had a deep, instinctive distaste for anything which looked disorganized. He also left the academy with a fanatical belief in the ideals of the Imperial Concordat, the advancement of Imperial democracy and a deep resentment of galactic domination by force sensitives.

Personality: Wilhelm has few friends and to observers seems to lack much human emotion, concentrating on the task in front of him with resolute precision. Whereas others might enjoy music and literature, Wilhelm has little time for such distractions and is known as an indefatigable worker who is calm, focused and thoroughly professional. As result of his natural gifts for tactics and logistics Wilhelm is prone to overestimate what he and those under his command are actually capable of, leading to the overstretching of forces and on rare occasions being cut off from supply lines.
